I have a Bernina Patchwork Edition, purchased in 2000. Not too long ago I took it in for cleaning and repairs. The needle was changing position by itself when I turned it on. They said they couldn't fix it. Recently I plugged it back in after three months of it sitting idle and it's been working fine. Any ideas what might be going on? I was told the mother board needed replacing, but that it was too old and those couldn't be found.
