its good to make internet a basic right.but i think we must address the issue of clean drinking water and FREE ELECTRICITY first.

Combining these new satellite internet services with the upcoming technology of LI-FI could be really interesting.
I live in NYC and am currently forced to use Verizon internet. But Verizon keeps increasing their rates and they are already too high. Thats why I am rooting for Space Link and low orbit satellites. Hope they come soon because I would be the first to sign up.

@@heavyferrum397 So far the price is just as high but so far the service is limited. As it takes off, hopefully there will be competition and this might force the prices down.
There is already other satellite internet services, such as viasat and hughesnet. But satellite internet is not highly recommended for cities since there will be a lot of things obstructing the signal. Is more recommended for rural areas

satelite internet is very expensive and ineficiend, it is usually used as the only option, i personaly dont think the average african citizen is going to pay 1700 dollars a year for some decent internet

The internet is and will be utilized for an extremely numerious reasons. Satilites would indeed cover the entire planet. Because of the distance from the planet to a satilites and back is such a great distance the ping rate is totally useless for anything requiring a rapid ping rate. Online gaming is but one. There are numerious others.
Yah that why low orbit satellites are being made, the theoretical response rate for a starlink satellite is 3ms, in practice you van get 80 ms on the higher end, so I Don't know what you're talking about.

Wifi has its pros and cons but man sometimes it can make you mad when you have to rely on it and then when you don't have wifi your stuck. I miss the days where computers didn't need wifi.

thank you for the video, but Korea has 51M people for 100,210 km² while Central Africa 4.83 millions people for 623,000 km², so 5% of the population is using internet seems little but it's pretty good already. knowing that only 890 312 people live in the capital.
