  • Here’s how to get from Haneda Airport to Shinagawa station the fastest and easiest way!
    It is better to use Keikyu line, not Japan Railway (JR) Line.
    This Keikyu line is a private railway running from Shinagawa Station to Yokohama and onto Uraga Station in Kanagawa.
    And this Shinagawa station is connected to the main railway include shinkansen in Japan, which is the Japan Railway (or JR in short).
    Therefore, the way it works is, you take the Keikyu from Haneda Airport to Shinagawa station, and then, at Shinagawa station, you can switch to the Shinkansen to go to your destination such as Kansai area(Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and so on).
    Shinagawa Station (品川駅, ) is a one of major JR station in the Takanawa and Konan districts of Minato, Tokyo, Japan.
    Keikyu Line is not part of JR line, but you can normally use Suica card.
    so, you had better to buy a Suica card at Haneda airport.
    In Japan, the train ticket cost is calculated based on your start and end-station.
    So if you have this Suica card, you don’t have to check what ticket you have to buy every time.
    That saves a lot of time & effort!
    Tickets cost a little less if you pay by Suica card.
    Plus, you can use this Suica card to pay at so many places, including vending machines, convenient stores, supermarkets, restaurants… Plus, most importantly, in my opinion, you can avoid all the little coins!
    In short, from Haneda Airport International Terminal (Terminal 3) to Shinagawa Station (Tokyo center) by Keikyu line:
    Time: about 30 minutes
    Cost: 292 yen when using Suica card.

    Welcome Suica card:

    If you're just visiting Japan for a short period of time,
    consider the Welocome Suica card.
    It's a SUICA card that does NOT require deposit,
    and good for 28 days.
    ** You can buy it at ticket vending machines at the airports,
    or at JR Travel Service Centers in town. Credit cards are accepted.

    I'm going to Japan in May and will go directly to Osaka. This video helps a lot. Thank you. Do you recommend buying an advance ticket for the Shinkansen or I can buy one at the station with no hassle?

      @@tokyomaze365 for me both. I will stay in the Shinagawa area, so seeing how to get there is super useful. I will also take the shinkansen (but days later), so maybe a video that shows how to get into the station (shinagawa and probably for other people also from tokyo station) and get to the shinkansen platform might be useful. Same as booking a ticket (not all people use jr pass and after the price increase more people will purchase standard tickets at the machines), so a video about that could be useful as well.

    Thanks for this video! The only thing I'm confused about is knowing which train or bullet train to wait for or get on?...For example, you went to #2 to wait for the Keikyu train > Shinagawa. Can you clarify if #2 corresponds to the time the train should be expected to arrive? Same thing for Shinkansen?

    • @lucyquick6876
      @lucyquick6876 8 місяців тому +1

      number 2 is the platform. So from heneda airport you head to platform 2 keikyu line heading towards shinagawa station .You wait at platform 2 for the next train going to Shinagawa to arrive they come maybe like every 10 minutes.You get on this train Then you get off at the shinagawa stop. Once you get off this train, follow the signs to exit / jr transfer and as you follow this sign you end up at Takanawa exit. Use your suica card to exit this area. So now you still need to go to to the bullet train entrance in order to board bullet train. So once you exit takanawa exit, go up the stairs Following the signs to the shinkansen(bullet train), NOW you willl need your shinkansen ticket to enter the Shinkansen entrance and you will need to get on a new platform to be able to board the Shinkansen . Hope this helps lol I may have just confused you more lol sorry if i did

      @@lucyquick6876 this is perfect! Thank you for clarifying...so basically, if Im not mistaken, if it says platform 3, go wait at #3, platform 4, wait at #4 and so on.... I believe the platform for Shin Osaka route would be platform 23 or 24?

    • @lucyquick6876
      @lucyquick6876 8 місяців тому

      Yes so once you pass the shinkansen ticket gate go to platform23/24 for signs to shin osaka once you arrive here there should be clear signs what plat form to stand on. Im not sure out of the two platforms(23/24) is for shin osaka but once you’re down there it should be clear which side to stand on. Hope that helps .
