Oh, really ? No quilling before ? I haven't done much paper quilling ornaments myself in the past years, to be honest 🙈. It's such a pleasure to hear that my work was of some inspiration to you! Greetings to you, too, Angélica ! 😊💚
🤗Thank you so much Miriam for this wonderful detailed video! All ornaments are so beautiful, and I like to make some for my tree. 🎄From my heart I wish you a Merry Christmas😊
Hello Miriam. Wow! All these ornaments are super beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us, and Merry Christmas. Warm Greetings from Querétaro, México.
I did show the red ornament, it comes at minute 10.19, right after the white one. The red ornament is exactly as the white one from minute 7.47, only with a few little differences. You asked how to make the star border and that is at minute 7.47. Please watch the video with patience from minute 7.47 until 12.15 and you will see how everything is made :).
I really like your ornaments, especially five and six, except…. You start with a length of 24 cm that is tri-folded, which becomes a length of 8 cm. Where do you get the 6 cm and the 3 cm from? It looks like these are triple pieces of glued paper as well, but you don’t say. What happened to the 8 cm piece of paper? Also, you stopped giving measurements for the paper length after the first step or two. When you start on the crinkly ones and onward, you don’t give any measurement lengths. It would have be a really good tutorial if you would’ve done this. Also, it would be great if you would show the final ornament you are going to be working on at the beginning of each segment. I only wanted to do a couple of the ornaments and I had to scroll forward to see which one you were doing and then backtrack to the beginning of that segment. Thanks for the ideas, I just wish there was more detailed info.
Thank you very much, Rhonda! This video was one of my first ones I made with Christmas quilling ornaments so maybe it was not as detailed as others I've made over the years. For the ornament you were referring to, you just need to fold a paper strip in 3 parts that you glue to each other (like I show in the video). The paper strip doesn't need to be necessarily 24 cm in length (that's just what I had on hand). And then cut that 3-folded paper strip into smaller parts (6 cm and 3 cm). Then you need to fold a few more paper strips like this and cut them until finally you have one paper strip that is 6 cm and four that are 3 cm in order to make the ornament spikes. The crinkly paper strips are 24 cm in length. You cut them in half and use them just like I show in the video. I sometimes don't like to give so many measurements for every single thing because some things are self explanatory by watching the video. And sometimes people might not have all the lengths of paper strips that I have so they can just choose what lengths they have and work with those. I'm just showing an example of how you can make ornaments :) Also, just a quick note, if you have thicker paper strips (between 250-300 gsm) you can skip the step where you fold the paper strips, and just cut these thicker strips into 6 cm and then 3 cm. The reason why I folded mine was because I didn't have thick paper strips that are 3 cm in width.

I show how to make the white snowflake (which has the same border as the red one). Watch from minute 7.47 onwards.
You didn't show the red one flower
