A cheap game that goes over the $5 limit that I feel people really should now about, A short hike. The game is 6.99 And is a weird mix of breath of the wild and animal crossing in terms of gameplay. It follows your bird character Claire, on an island trying to get to the top so that they can get phone coverage to receive a call. It’s very story based so I won’t say anything else on that front but the is just so moving and exploring trying to find all the things is just so much fun. I have a 100 hours logged on a 7$ game. It is made by one guy the visuals are ds era in feel but can be changed to a more modern look in settings. For me this is a switch must have. Please. Please buy a short hike
Jack the Dog this might sound weird but I legitimately find just walking around the place fun to do regardless of how many times i be walked it, doing all the things with Avery helps, paying off that guys tuition was fun, just all that sort of stuff keeps me going on it. I’m obsessed with this game and like searching for things to do in it.

He's not trying to tell us that his opinion is superior. 😃 As for IGN, I feel they were pretty good until 2013 - 14 Like the person who reviewed GTA V did it in such level of detailed breakdown which doesn't happen much anymore. Nowadays they give scores but they don't explain properly why. You can check the comments section of the review in games like "A plague tale innocence" it's not just me but many people feel IGN is not doing their work seriously anymore.

Another recommendation is Goblin Sword. Retro platformer, simple but fun, originally on iOS, short levels with a lot of secrets and stuff to unlock. Do a completionist run and you're more than getting your money's worth.

I feel like everyone's guilty pleasure is buying cheap games, or accessories, etc. etc that will never be played. Gaming for adults has turned into that doll - gaming console - you buy for your kid, only to have her spend more later for accessories - games/controllers/etc.

I'm a big fan of picking up a bargain and usually buy at least 1 eShop game a month that's on sale (I downloaded 3 for just £1.80 earlier this week, lol ... Mana Spark, Dex and Utopia 9). I already have Toki Tori, the Gunman Clive Collection and Abyss on my WiiU and certainly agree with those recommendations. From this video, Golf Peaks and Ambition of the Slimes have definitely caught my attention, so I shall check out some reviews :-)

If you're quick Valkyria Chronicles is £6 with 9 hours left in the sale. You'll struggle to get a game that good, that cheap on Switch. Brothers A Tale of Two Sons is about £10. Only about 4 hours but great game and one of the few games I've played more than once.

I think the sequel to Toki Tori is really worth a try. It's sort of a puzzle metroidvania, but it's really fun.
