He gets blasted in the heat, comoboed and not even within a mile of winning, and yet you still complain like a whiny little 6 year old. Embarrassing.
While GC probably deserved the heat on second watch, I feel he was being massively over scored. Same in the final too and his strategy in that was peasant.
Jack couldn't keep his momentum in this one but was not outclassed by any means. They're gonna have a good rivalry over the next few years.
Bro Felipe on way smaller waves, doing the same wrap all week and getting 8.5-9.5. no manouver diversity on smaller waves, judges are on something big time. Griff putting himself in far more critical parts of the wave and mixing it up.

@@joshua5871 Nah the final was fair. I do agree that Felipe is getting stale on his variation though. GC couldn't back-up that one good wave.
@@MrSuparadise I could watch JJF turns all day and not get bored. I don't see anyone come close to the degree of difficulty, technique, style and power that he possesses, and IMO, that's what wave riding is all about for me. Plenty (other riders) offer similar and unique turns, but JJF is in a galaxy of his own far, far away. Makes it look so effortless too.

@@sandmonkey1243 erm... not quite. Medina has dodgy style at times but is a competition GOAT. He has that x factor and is up there with the best of all time.
Robinson is the same level as Griffin - but is being overscored in literally every context to push him to the level of JJF, Medina, Toledo, which he isn't, at all. WSL politics trying to hand pick an Aussie WC because of branding etc.
@@jn261 thinking Medina or Toledo are on the same level as JJF, never heard that one before....Everybody knows the WSL has been pushing Brazilians over the line for years, and it keeps the WSL machine alive, it keeps them living the dream, surfing around the world, without going back to normal jobs. The youtube and other social media numbers don't lie they have the Portuguese viewers account for 50% of the whole world. The WSL love it. The fans at Saquarema are borderline scary, needing 6 bodyguards to protect Medina, WTF why would a surfer need that, and than it clicked, that's where the money is at. Fanatics

Griffin carved massive spray completely surrounded Jack paddling over out back of wave. Awesome view on last overhead replay. Comon Aussie comon. Avagud1. Nice surfing Griffin. Jack would be shocked how you smashed it out of the park.
