I've been using WBT in our clinic for almost one year now and it is a very good technology. As mentioned in the seminar, there are no precise lines in this test and we have to look at the measurements "from a certain distance" but specially for NHS, what you really want to know is whether the measurement looks like more a normal result, having the line within the normal grey distribution or if it is a flat line, indicating a middle ear condition that can be the failure to pass the OEA test.
As with any other method, we have to get used to it and a lot more research will be done with it but I'm sure that in the near future it will be part of the daily use arsenal in the audiological field.

Hi. interacoustics . if feel its wonderful concept WIDE BAND Tympanometry, but it needs lots of data to set normative lines and moreover acceptance from the audiology community, in terms of feasibility or application of this concept .. Need to add some features which can please the audiology community globally .. But.. as of now i can say two things, one is best of luck with this wonderful concept and second one is long way to go mate ..

Good luck with this, but...sorry to say need an update, esp with the normative for different middle ear conditions, also the normative reading the tympanogram with respect to absorbance in pathological conditions.. make it less complicated..concept is great, but not yet impressed..sorry..:) but very hopeful signs :)
