I grew up in the fifties and had no homework until 7th grade. Later I became a teacher myself and never gave homework. Im very concerned about kids getting homework as early as kindergarten! How to make kids hate school!
Homework should be banned. It doesn’t teach kids study habits, it forces them to do work. If you wanna teach study habits make the tests harder and tell students they need to study or else they probably won’t do well. That way they learn that they need to study instead of being forced to do work which has been proven to be ineffective.
