Great video Samia. Thanks for helping with my recent order for two SSP118s and two VS21s. They're simply fantastic. I agree with you that BassBoss products represent extraordinary value for users/owners.

The frequency response graph of the DJ18S looks flatter for longer than anything I’ve seen in that style of sub. It looks like it’s better than the SSP118 which rolls off more at the low end. The SSP118 is overall louder though i guess.

Those SSP118 really rock. I have only used 1 at some of my events. I have 2 just in case. It is true when they say you get what you pay for👍🏼😊👍🏼they're not cheap, but they're worth every penny🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hi Samia, do I need an external mixer to run these speakers as a dj or just run directly from dj controller to speakers

    • @BASSBOSSBASS
      @BASSBOSSBASS  Рік тому +1

Great question! You do not need any additional processing on the speakers. You can run them directly through the controller.

@@BASSBOSSBASS Hi Samia, so I was thinking to connect my tops to the main out of my controller and my subs to the booth out. is this a good way to do it? any tips or recommendations?

I’m running my kraken with 2 battery packs and it only goes down 20% in 3 hours 1200 student gig

So I’m guessing…….. if you’re #BASSHEAD like me and you love those hair moving LOWS in a car. These subwoofers are going to get you as close to that as possible?

      Indoors yes possible
      Outdoors not much possible

Yes but much less distortion than a car system (which may or may not be what you want). Even just a pair of the VS21s is a strong physical experience.

Spoiler: you can't hear below 40hz outdoors.. because no walls..
Yes, most songs end with 30hz.. excluding car audio songs or edge of tomorrow etc etc movies..
But most parties will demand 60hz onwards bass.. only car audio fanatics will demand 20hz etc..
People love 20hz output, but most party songs are 60hz onwards. Even " Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick* Ashley " is somewhat 80hz ish.. most loved songs are 60hz onwards.. just boom heart attack.. no hair moving lows

Lower frequencies are often enjoyed as a feeling as much as audio presence.

Many songs are rolled off at 30Hz, but low B string on a 5 string bass is around 30 Hz. Even a sub with an F3 at 30Hz, which means it is -3dB down at 30Hz, is producing half power at that frequency compared to the passband. Plenty of EDM and Hip Hop songs can go lower (for instance Rack City by Tyga goes down to around 27Hz).
I’d say you’re much more likely to feel or hear anything below 40Hz outdoors because you don’t have any room modes that are causing phase or pressure cancellations. I have more problems getting 28Hz in a small room than a larger one for instance.

I can hear 20 thru 40hz outside very easily. It's not 1999 anymore. 95% of music has 20-40hz notes. Even modern country now has low bass.
