What talent! Never knew they had so many great songs! Those guitars 🎸 look like guitars today. So modern. Amazed at the sound produced in that era. Grateful for recording technology to preserve these hits.
@ ....Easily promoted (song with a hook- promo) and inexpensive to produce...I suspect casting would not be a problem either. It is also interesting that my two favorite songs of all time, "Let Her Dance and I'll Feel A Whole Better (Byrds - Gene Clark) came out at the same time ; June '65. The right screen play could tie the two together and be a helluva rock'n roll tribute. But I'm only dreamin'....like Johnny Burnnett....who was killed in a freak boating accident the year before. But hey, they left great rock'n roll songs!
@@golden.lights.twinkle2329 I agree. The only reason why a movie about Ritchie Valens was made was because he was killed with Buddy Holly. That's the only reason why anyone ever heard of Ritchie Valens.
I remember hearing "I Fought the Law" when I was young, 11 years old. I never heard any of the other songs, and didn't think anything about it. I never knew that he died. Many years later, I found the LP, and played "I Fought the Law" "Let Her Dance, "Julie" "Another Sad And Lonely Night" "Never to be Forgotten." I LOVE THOSE SONGS! They are incredible! Can't get enough of "Let Her Dance," and I love the drum roll in "Never to be Forgotten." I bought a 45 of "Love's Made a Fool of You." What would he have done if he had lived? I wish I could tell him how much his music means to me, and that he will "Never be Forgotten." Saw an Unsolved Mysteries episode about him, and only then did I know he had died.
@@Ferocious_Imbecile Well....not the whole of The Beatles' musical career, but I like their stuff even better than The Beatles' early output (and for me to say this being the Beatlemaniac that I am is blasphemy). The Bobby Fuller Four sounded like what I have always WANTED the early Beatles to sound like. The Bobby Fuller Four was catchier and "hookier" than The Beatles' early stuff and it gets to me more.
@@Opawesum Bobby Fuller, The Byrds, anything from Motown, The Rolling Stones, D.C. Five, The Bee Gees, The Guess Who, ...all make Beatle's "noise" sound like crap. Early Beatles stuff was OK....But, "I am a walrus coo-coo-kachu"...Puke City.
Both were Buddy Holly and the Crickets cover bands. If Bobby Fuller and John Lennon were still alive, and Paul McCartney was asked and were being honest they would all admit as much.
I was just thinking the same thing! The true life story of Bobby would be far more interesting than anything Hollywood could come up with. I'm guessing it's a music rights issue or something like that.
I was waiting to see how they would do the bottle sound in "Let Her Dance". Did they play live, but do a version of the show with the recorded version? That's my guess.
The structure and phrasing of Bobby Fuller's musicwas tremendous and indicative of a creative talent that was really going places. But he was definitely done with Del-Fi Records.
There was the undeniable forging of a unique genre of music and his creative drive was going places, but he was signed by one of the small record labels, got into a contract dispute, and was murdered.
I only wish Bobby Fuller had lived long enough to be part of the psychedelic revolution of rock n roll. Who knows what he might have done? Him and Buddy Holly both. Get them out of those Texas swing suits n' ties, let their hair loose, and into the new planetary awareness...
Never to be forgotten!... wow, what a hypnotic and brilliant gem of a song!
Heroic!
Guy was unreal. RIP Bobby Fuller. Feel cheated of all we missed, what he could of accomplished. Gone way to soon
What talent! Never knew they had so
many great songs!

One has to ask, how come a movie about his life and music hasn't been made? A lot of people would pay to see such a film.

Bobby Fuller Four > Beatles.

@@Ferocious_Imbecile I strongly agree with your comment.
Magic! It's hard to explain the mysterious appeal of their tunes. It just hypnotizes you badly!
Sure does!
Yeah. I think I listened to every song he ever made at this point.
What a great band! Underrated!
Such a great song...and underrated talent.
Never noticed how Bobby drops down to his knees during the solo in "Let Her Dance." You see him start to disappear at 3:57. That's awesome!
Woah! That is. I never noticed until you said so.
Nice catch!! That was awesome!!
Bobby Fuller was on the road to greatness, but then he discovered too late that he had enemies.
@Negus Negast Yup...Bobby fooled around with the wrong guys girl friend...after he had been warned.
I disagree. The greatest happened, and this clip from Shivaree proves it.
You shall Never Be Forgotten, Bobby!!
i love the beatles but fullers music is timeless!!
I personally believe Bobby Fuller and his band were much better than The Beatles.

The Beatles in the mid 60s were the best band in the world… This is not opinion, this is fact

Actually, Bobby didn't like the beatles (He also didn't like the British invasion)
Never let Bobby be forgotten!
2020 - still remembered!
That Texas boy did it.
2021 always will be remembered,Bobby still listening😊
put the boys in the hall....they are timeless
I believe they are.
he has looks / talent...and all the quality of a Major star
Why wasn't this a number one hit?????
I know, right? It's a phenomenal and truly great song and its position on the charts baffles me. Should've been way higher than it was.
He captured the Buddy Holly sound...dang shame he was taken early (like Buddy).
i didnt know..he. was..muerdered
.he had it all.to....become..a súper star.i really like his músic.
bobby was such a talented and cute guy, i miss him so much
Talent alright. Love the music from this band.
Happy Birthday Bobby. Still love & listen to your great music.
I propose to Hollywood..Make a bio picture about Bobby Fuller. I'm even going to give you a title. Never To Be Forgotten: The Bobby Fuller Story.
I was just thinking the same thing! The true life story of Bobby would be far more interesting than anything Hollywood could come up with. I'm guessing it's a music rights issue or something like that.
Randy fuller, bobbys brother was a good player also
My favorite part of this Shiveree video is watching Dewayne Quirico's drumroll.love the expression on his face!😊
❤❤the best band ❤❤
Fantastic
You can really hear the talent these boys had when listening to their version of Misirlou.
Also, not to mention Bobby Fuller's version of My Favorite Martian.
I was waiting to see how they would do the bottle sound in "Let Her Dance". Did they play live, but do a version of the show with the recorded version? That's my guess.

Very good time. I wish i was there

This is before everything was pussified.
Jeez, the peeps running this show couldn't have at least put up some mic stands to help the believability just a bit?

They used to call him the second coming of Buddy Holly....they used to say the same of Marshall Crenshaw.
What the Fuck why didn't they EVER sing live on tv?????
The real shit!
Please, more information

Is there anything cuter than girls in short skirts and boots?
Those shivaree girl dancers yummy!!!!!!
If I'd been old enough to be on one of those shows then (Hullabaloo, Shivaree, etc.) I would have loved to have been a go-go dancer.
