Only buying dry nuts make sense to buy from COSTCO. Else there is not much difference and also COSTCO will not be nearby homes. Very good informative video.
Thanks 🙏
Bro this was really helpful. One other factor we might need to consider is the membership fees for Costco. As you already mentioned for families that utilizes bulk quantities Costco would be better.. but for families with very less members buying large quantity would go waste in sometime
Really u both are putting videos which are very very useful for everyone who is going to visit US…..and those who are already living in USI appreciate your service….
Thank u so much
Your words are motivating a lot 🙏🙏
I will go to Costco for bulk items. For vegetables usually go to Al Di and Indian grocery.
Thanks
Please purchase only Indian vegetables in the indian groceries
They will price it tooo high ☹️
Buying in bulk also leads to more consumption which puts on more weight for us which is bad in long run. It is always better to buy in appropriate quantities rather than thinking we are saving by buying in bulk. Pick and choose what makes sense to buy in bulk rather than blindly trusting costco is best for everything. Also things like nuts in bulk need to be stored in fridge/freezer or they will taste rancid soon like 1-2 months itself after opening
So true much needed vedio. If possible Can you compare vegetable cost in Indian store with farmers market or Korean,Chinese market.
Definitely will do thanks 🙏
Fruits like strawberry and blueberry it’s better to buy frozen …. My kids eat a lot one week and then they don’t eat it for next week 😀… so it might go bad … so I buy them frozen so it stays good and it doesn’t get wasted ….
Thanks for the comments, we never tried Frozen fruits... Jus A General Tip while buying frozen fruits please make sure no extra sugars !! Mosts of the time Frozen fruit can be just as nutritious as fresh fruit too so no issues but Just Make SURE !!
@@ArthiPremநிஜம் பிரெஸ் தான் நல்லது
Costco app same day delivery (minimum $35) is better to avoid unwanted items (mark up price 10% higher but still effective).
Thanks for the comments 👍
Nice comparison Arthi & Prem. We always ended up with $100/- in Costco for each trip.
Basmati rice, toor dhal, moong dhal. Urad dhal , gopi paneer, channa, milk. Apple, spinach, carrot, beans, tomatoes, mango juice , olive oil , banana, strawberrt, avacado, bread fr Costco.
Indian veggies fr Patel
Onion, potatoes, snacks , canbage , peas, lima beans fr walmart
Organic sona masoori fr Sams ( my friend has sams memb. She gets it for me)
Thanks for sharing your lists are too good…
Onions are too costly in our indian groceries.. same bag we get lesser price from an ordinary groceries
So we stick only Indian vegetables from indian groceries
@@ArthiPrem- onion fr Walmart I mentioned. Only Indian veggies fr Patel.
Got it sorry
My bad 😑
Vera level. Keep going !
Thanks !!
One of the best and useful video for day to day life. Thanks for doing it.
Thank u so much 🙏
Nice video and good comparison.. what you said about wastage is 100% correct.. we used to buy from Costco before and most of the items wasted since couldn’t use them on time.. so only using now for other things like Laundry items..
Great video. Smart comparison. Also I like the seedtastic bread at Aldi. They are made with whole grains and seeds and good for your gut than the traditional white bread. Also the pasta sauce at Aldi, simply nature brand is awesome for taste and the best priced store pasta sauce. Also cheese varieties is good at Aldi. Otherwise for some items Costco is value for money.
Cool thanks for the comment
We never tried the bread
Thanks for the recommendation, will try it 👍👍
nice summary, informative video. thx prem
Thanks bro 🙏🙏
Great video. Very useful for current situation for everyone
Thanks 🙏
Correct nga, I always felt Costco too much waste age also buying in bulk in Costco also makes people eat more and gain excessive weight just because we have got it and have to finish it off soon. I live in San Antonio so we go to HEB a local store to buy groceries. I buy butter, oils, fruits, campari tomatoes, nuts, dresses in Costco, dhals, sona masoori and basmati, cheddar cheese, other than that everything else is junk there.
Good one bro. Loved it like ever.
Final verdict was spot on: in costco we end up buying and spending for more than our necessity. Although you showed $41 to be the expenses in Costco, I’m very sure you should’ve bought it for $60 in total as things can be bought only in bulk.
But in Aldi, you will buy only what you want. Although it’s $3 more than Costco in your video, you would’ve spent only for the quantity you need and you’ve clearly avoided the wastage.
Also, the membership for Costco is $60. And a family before buying costco membership should calculate whether they’ll be able to save that membership cost for all the purchases done throughout the year. That is, will a family be able to save at least $60 in a year around purchase in Costco to make the membership worth? Highly doubt it.
But costco could be made a good deal, if 2 families (may be indian friends) purchase one membership and share the cost $30 each. And when they visit Costco together, they can definitely save more than $30 for a year’s purchase, also can share the bulk quantity between them, so the wastage will be avoided.
Wow, great comment! Yes, we mentioned that if potatoes are cheaper at Costco, it doesn't make sense to buy a 10-pound bag if you can't consume them before they spoil, leading to food waste.
So, we only buy items with long shelf lives or smaller quantities at better prices from Costco. We get most of our other items from Aldi or local stores. However, having a Costco membership is still worth it because we save on fuel costs!
@@ArthiPrem How much is the difference between normal gas stations and Costco gas stations for a gallon of regular gas?
@dhineshbabu1055 i just checked yesterday it was around 20-25 cents per gallon
Unless u cook frequently and have atleast family of 4-5 ppl buying Onions/Potatoees etc at Costco is not worth it and it will mostly go waste. Moreover Onion is elephant size and for just using small quantity u still have to slice one onion and store other half. Better to buy small red onion in Walmart or Indian grocery

They r vegan & I have no idea about their cooking since they r Jains.
To cut expenses in Costco…we reduced number of visit to Costco…once in a month😊😊
HI, The real probelm is we never stick with the list when we shopping at the Costco..Always ends with the unwanted products!!

Sure will do
Thank u so much
I did it for my family....and decided to end up with Walmart shopping
I compared Walmart ,samsclub and costo ....
YES Walmart is the best alternative too, we can compare it !!!
When I did , olive oil 3 gallon was 19$ in Walmart and 34$ in Costco
@@sihanasihana200 sometimes it's not just direct comparison. You also have to see the quality, origin and the method of extracting oil. Olive oil prices have increased last year due to crop issuesin Italy. So other stores alternate to cheap sourced olives. Costco olive oil has 100% Italian olives which are probably some of the best in stores in US
I don't trust in "organic". What is organic? To what level is the product organic? That's just to fool customers. Maybe other quality aspects might be considered. @@AravindVenkata
Hi, how is Winco compared to Cosco?
Sorry winco is not available on our state
No idea ☹️
@@ArthiPrem Sure, thanks for responding. With rates given in video, I will try to compare
Cool thanks 🙏
Clear winner, Aldi ..
There is cash back in Costco not sure we considered that
Cash back is not considered here
Since we can get grocery cash back through credit cards special grocery categories with the local grocery too
Avacado in Walmart is .89 cents😅
Thanks !!
But that’s small
We have taken the Big Avacoda from Aldi in a good price
