When you think about it, that first scene with Connor was perfect foreshadowing of this playthrough, and most of his choice-based games.
Berlin spends the majority of the time on the rooftop, absolutely crushing every decision, getting every clue, doing literally everything the "right way."
And then, right at the end, at the literal final chance he has to fuck up, he picks the wrong decision and everyone dies.
