I've listened to every recording of this piece on youtube and this is my favourite. I'm not sure why that is but I think it's that many of the others overuse rubato but this player is able to add expression within the confines of the music as written.
I like the flowing tempo and the delicacy, but O'Conor underplays the dynamic contrasts; the piece gets up to forte, but he doesn't go beyond mp. There's more intensity to be found in this piece.
