  • The Bangle Sellers by Sarojini Naidu - NET SET | Indian Literature | Heena Wadhwani
The Bangle Sellers is a 1912 poem by Sarojini Naidu, an Indian writer and political activist. In this poem, the different colours of bangles symbolise the different stages of a woman's life. The bangle sellers try to sell their bangles at a temple fair, by calling out to women and describing the types of bangles that will suit them. This is a musical poem which depicts the cultural richness and heritage of India, as well as celebrates womanhood.
This is an important work, prescribed for UPHESC, BA, MA, NTA NET, SET, UPSC and other competitive exams. This will also help students preparing for GATE, CUET PG and more. This video is a part of the UPHESC English syllabus series by Heena Wadhwani.
