Although both husband and wives of army officers who lay down their lives must receive some remuneration but this cannot take away rights of the parents in any case. Had this been a woman officer and a civilian husband I would have said the same thing. Parents especially in their old age need more care. @@DrDoji Yes both the parties lost their son and husband I agreed but, the loss of a son for the parents whom they well grown up from the childhood to manhood by giving selfless love, pampering, build manners etc. for more than 20-30 years and even in manhood a son was also like a child for the parents as he was in his childhood. Parents can at best be dependents for medical and canteen benefits, but pension etc and compensation is for wife. And lam in favour that they should be changed to 50-50, and after remarriage the full benefits should be transferred to parents.

If she's to remarry, she should give the Kirti chakra to his parents, she shouldn't have changed his permanent address, and should have left some of his stuff for his parents. ओर अगर माता-पिता ना हो तो भी शायद पत्नी अगर शादी कर ले परन्तु फिर आने वाली पीढ़ी सेना में जाना चाहेंगी ये सोच विचार का मुद्दा है
किसी को अन्तर नहीं पड़ता किसी को पड़ता है
हां अगर संयुक्त परिवार है तो बात फिर अलग है
उनके माता-पिता का ध्यान बाकी भाई भाभी रख लेंगे
ओर सम्पत्ति भी भाई भाभी को मिलेगी जो ध्यान रख रहे हैं
ओर जो सैनिक ओर उनकी पत्नी है उनकी कोई सन्तान है या नहीं इस बात पर भी निर्भर करता है
हम सिर्फ आज का सोचकर निर्णय नहीं ले सकते
उसके आने वाले परिणाम कैसे होगें ये भी सोचना पड़ेगा
जैसे पति ने राष्ट्र के लिए बलिदान दिया
अपने जीवन को देकर
उसी प्रकार उनकी पत्नी को भी बलिदान देना चाहिए
ओर जो पत्नी ऐसा ना करें वो वीरगति कि पत्नी कहलाने लायक नहीं है
उसका अपने पति कि समाप्ति पर कोई हक नहीं है
जिसे भी पत्नी के लिए हमदर्दी है
वो एक बार अपना जीवन राष्ट्र के लिए न्योछावर करने के बारे में सोच कर देख लें
ओर अगर उनकी पत्नी एकेली रहेंगी जीवन भर उसे ऐसा लगता है
तो किसी बालक को गोद ले सकती है
लाखों बच्चे भारत में अनाथ है किसी को भी गोंद ले लो

Remarriage is practical solution and the parents must be supported otherwise. Living without someone till death and suppressing isn't the solution nor leaving the family where u were married. I have seen quite few cases where wife has not kept any contact with the husbands parents after the death of husband. In one case, husbands old parents are living in destitute conditions while the wife took the amount equivalent of Rs 10 crores employee insurance (16 x last yearly salary) after husbands death, and is not giving anything to husbands parents. New law has to be passed for such inequality.
