Bruh you have no idea how this video blessed me. I’m 28, broke, about to get into a new job, but i’ve always wondered why my life had to be so rough. And now, hearing your story, i’m convinced that it all has a purpose. I survived a surgery that went wrong(left me partially paralysed), nearly got imprisoned for drugs that i was framed for, had to deal with life without proper use of the left side of my body. For the next three years it always felt as if God’s promise would never come to pass. But you. You meme-filled, humourous, animal loving human. You gave me hope to believe that God will provide. I'm similarly non-religious/atheist/agnostic/whatevs but I appreciate the positivity you put out into the world and how you've used your faith to empower yourself to do so much good. I wish I could only ever encounter this side of religion because this is the best of it, what it can do for people's personal lives, and it so often gets drowned out by loud angry politicians who use it as a weapon to attack others rather than a tool to support and uplift.

I went from just thinking this was a funny channel and ben was just a jokester to realizing he is an incredibly loving, sweet and selfless person with a lot of passion and a clear purpose. Best channel on UA-cam hands down.
Better than most channels which simply create content on whatever is trending without caring about the resulting effects of their content (for example channels which exist simply to talk drama/gossip and hate on whomever is an easy or popular target). Uncle Ben is most definitely much much better than those kinds of channels, which make up most of UA-cam. What he does has a positive effect irl, and also on UA-cam and the viewers. A very wholesome channel by a very wholesome and admirable person. Very inspiring.
This is strangely the most moving Easter message I've seen. I'm not religious or inclined, but it is impossible not to be inspired by what you've done for the animals and yourself. I'm not a religious person, but your faith is so beautiful man. You were led to doing something so great and special, you took a piece of mistreated land and turned it into a place of safety and harmony. No matter what anyone believes, that's blessed.
You don't have to be religious to simply follow Jesus. I am always telling people religion is from the Devil not God. He is an angel to these little critters. "The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made." Psalm 145:9 I know God is smiling down on this young man.

I LOVE your story. I also asked God for my life's purpose. He answered and it hasn't been easy, but I'm happy I listened. My life is so much better now. You are an inspiration Ben because what you do is not easy.
One thing though, if you're meeting your metrics, you aren't stealing from them, you're just working efficiently. Don't bend over backwards for our corporate overlords.

Yeah, i hate this kind of corpo speech... its the same with my job (factory). The suits get very pissy when they "catch" us finishing a bit earlier than the exact second our shift officially ends, even if we have our quota fully met and our workspace cleaned and ready for the next shift... fuck those people.
I mean, i am OK with my job, the production quotas are measured pretty tight already, but if you are smart, you get to work asap after coming in, shorten up your lunch break a bit and you can easily end and have somewhere from 20 to 40 minutes to clean the machines up without any rush and chit chat with the guys on the next shift.
Its not like they havent raised our quotas multiple times over the years already, but they cant do it more because of laws about physical load on a person/day.
TL:DR its just designed to make you feel like you did something wrong, even if its obviously bullshit.
Here is a concept: you can be well suited in one area, ie Uncle Ben meeting his metrics, and still be better suited in a totally different area, ie most farmers would have had Kevin steaks a long time ago.

Bro I got big respect for this man's genuine wisdom and faith in all he does, it really shows through. Especially the bit about Man's first calling to take care of the Garden of Eden; there really is something inherently attractive about what he does and the more naturalistic life he leads.
I agree. I have always loved gardening and animals but never have I ever heard anyone say it like Ben did about Man's first calling to take care of the garden and the animals. That hit me strong...and in a much needed good way!
What a wholesome story. It sucks you had to go through all of that, but it seems like you enjoy what you do now. Another great video! Have you thought of adding a sort of adoption option for animals? Not like actually taking them home, but someone can "adopt" and pay for the care of different animals on the farm without one-time donations.

Gonna be honest, I really needed this. I’m a Christian, and I’ve been feeling really lost with what I’m going to do in my life or what I should go to college for etc and it feels like I keep asking and waiting and he’s just making me wait for his response, but hearing that he responded to you was super powerful and gives me the little push I need to keep waiting. As another Christian, it's such a great thing to see how God has blessed other people's lives in so many different ways. ^^ It's very inspiring to hear how the channel came to be and how it's been going even now.

Actually watching this video and seeing this man's relationship with God- it really helped restore some of my faith personally-
I hope he sees just how much impact he has on us viewers. It's been amazing watching his story- and knowing now that God has been on his side and guiding him is truly inspiring and gives me so much hope.
I love hearing his story as much as I enjoy seeing other Christians in the comments. It gets tiring to see all the comments of those who hold up his message but do not believe in the Lord and therefore miss a lot of the main point of his message. Hopefully they find God one day, or more of he accepts them into his house.
i didn't even know he is a christian it's nice to know that there are so many of us I'm a Christian myself too.

When people like our friend Ben here are very open about their religion and use it to better themselves and their community but don't try to force it on others, I respect the shit out of that.

Honestly, it's not the farming itself that's inspiring to me. It's more the fact that you have made incredibly entertaining content out of what is basically your everyday life. Just filming what you would do anyway and be silly along the way. That's inspiring and something I've been considering doing myself for a long time. Although I haven't quite yet jumped over my shadow...

I don't think you were stealing from your employer. "Stealing time" is something they make up to make you feel bad, but in reality they will lay people off to save money while paying the final sales guy 8x your salary. In the end, you did the right thing simply because that wasn't your calling, and that's totally fine.

Also, jokes aside, I do feel like (at least in the US) we have this warped idea that if you’re not being 100% productive at all times then you’ve failed. People need time to rest. And if breaking away from your work for a bit to recharge when you’re not needed is somehow “stealing time” then call me a thief.
A smart worker knows when to go full throttle and when to pull back a bit for their own health and sanity. If you just go, go, go you’ll eventually burn out and will be of no help to anyone.
@@KlutzyNinjaKitty well it definitely depends on how you define work. If work is getting X or Y project done, then that's what they are paying you for. As long as the project is complete, they get their moneys worth. Other jobs have some kind of constant "tap" where you effectively have an infinite cap of work you can do. I guess some sales jobs are like that. Even if you meet your metrics, and even if you outperform your entire team....theres always more you can do. Those kinds of jobs are real rough on some people.

Yeah, get a job thats performance based and not "time spent doing things" based. The former gives you autonomy and job satisfaction, while the latter provides anxiety and bitterness. There's a reason retail employees are dead-eyed. Sometime to finish my assignments I work over 40/hrs a week but dont get paid for it as Im salaried. Sometimes i work 20/hrs a week but still get paid for 40 as Im salaried. Two-edge swords cut both ways. I also love my coworkers and bosses, which helps.
