First and Second Time Power Kite Jumping

This is a compilation of footage from my first and second time officially jumping with my Prism Tensor 5.0! Power kiting is an awesomely fun sport.
Winds were about 8-10 mph gusting up to about 14.

+Trumpatier Just bought myself a beamer HQ v6 5m kite and am frankly terrified to even try it! I live on the coast and it can sometimes get a bit gusty, but at least there is some lovely soft sand to land on

witterquickly Nice! I'd recommend trying it out in winds of 10mph or less until you thoroughly know how to control the kite and how it reacts. It's a goal of mine to try power kiting on a beach sometime xD

It's either really hard or you are doing it wrong. It looks like you keep the kite at 12 and expect to jump high? As far as I know, that's not how you jump with a power kite

Yeah I was pretty new at it in this video. I was keeping it between 11 and 12 pretty much. I'm better at it now, though I don't go very often anymore sadly.

I would suggest you to at least try the peter lynn twister, it has much more lift than the tensor so you'll be able to jump higher but you'll have much smoother landings (which would be safer imho). The tensor will pull like a truck horizontally but it has poor lift cause it's not designed for this (so give that tensor a try on buggy/snowkiting/landboarding, you'll be amazed!).
