Hi Larry, I was wondering what are the inconvenients of Sportsman stol kit and vg on your Cruise speed / fuel consuption ? If definitely add drag ? Thanks again for explainations
I cannot feel a downside for the Sportsman and VGs, cruise speed or fuel consumption was not affected by them, bigger tires did affect the cruise speed by 4kts.
Fantastic videos, very exciting and very motivating. I have a question if you have time. Our property has a 220m grass strip one way in, one way out. I’ve been looking at upgrading from an Xair standard to a C150 and add a STOL kit. Would like your opinion.

@@motoadveBackcountry182 Ok interesting. We have shortly refurbished our Runway and until the grass is grown again we have Gravel/Dirt runway and the propellers eypecially while aerotowing gliders are fuc****. :(

Never flown a 150, so cannot comment on it, landing should be ok, the take off I dont know how well a 150 can perform.

Have you had problems with stones hitting the propeller onn take off? Sucking them in with full power?

I would say 140,170,180 and 185 .That does mean that a 150,172 and 182 can't but the best are taildraggers
