Maximum Effort | Endless Archive Arc 5 Solo Run! Elder Scrolls Online

- The Endless Archive is soooo much better now!
The Endless Archive is the newest piece of content in The Elder Scrolls Online and it is an interesting concept! Inspired by Roguelike gameplay, the dungeon is procedurally endless and available solo or duo. In this endless dungeon, you fight through 3 stages of adds or small enemies, then a boss chosen from around the game's already existing bosses. Repeat this three times and you fight the Archive's main boss. Once you have beaten the main boss, you complete an "Arc" and the process begins again, but with more difficulty. Over the course of a run, the difficulty steadily increases, but you also receive unique buffs in the form of "verses" which are powerful and temporary, or "visions" which can be weak or powerful and last the entirety of your run.
This is my third major run through here. Overall, I think the entire run was about 2.5hrs to make it to the end of Arc 5 which is a vast improvement over the almost 4 hours it took me to reach almost the end of Arc 4 before. Also, that status effect vision is CRACKED. I think basically everyone should have a status effect focused setup for runs just in case they get a few of those visions because it buffs your damage as much or more than many of the verses which are supposed to be the more powerful buffs due to their temporary nature. To be honest, I think Focused Efforts may get nerfed. Right now, at least for builds that focus on status effects like mine here, this is by FAR the biggest damage increase you can get from visions. If you luck out and get three of these in the first 2 arcs, your damage will skyrocket and nothing will be threatening until Arc 5. If you could stack 6 or more of these, your single target and area of effect damage would be beyond crazy.

Thanks man I used this build idea to get to 8-2-1 258,000 score. The main thing I changed was went all spellpower enchants instead of recovery, picked up another 1k spellpower. I have to heavy attack often but that also helps me because of the ice shield and I always get the bleed damage on heavy attack so I get yet another status effect. I also put poison on my staff for another status effect. I was absolutely crushing in arc 8 with 2000% status effect damage lol. Really fun build.
Stats: (fully buffed, no pot)
Mag: 24596
Stam: 16108
HP: 30983
Recovery: 1071 mag, 1053 stam, 2281 heath(at max ultimate)
Spell damage: 4709
Crit: 26.3%
Pen: 5765
Resistance: 29833
YES! I knew that kind of progress was possible with this build and the right luck on visions! That’s incredible
What changes did you make other then going full magical harm?
@@rpghood7231 Poison enchant on staff and I'm a dark elf. I didn't see what CP points he used so I just went with what I thought would work for the build. Fortified, siphoning spells, bloody renewal for red and wrathful strikes, master at arms, thaumaturge and weapons expert in blue. My stats are a bit higher now actually because I went ahead and yellowed the gear out since I liked the build so much.
I’ve made this build also and it’s awesome when you actually get some damn decent visions
I’ve done ONE run when I’ve gotten focused efforts, absolutely IRRITATING
@@Justintime2GrowNetwork sweet set up my man, I got to try that, I always end up getting my stats messed. I'm rocking a necro Nord mag tank build now. but i added a twist, i decided to add the vetrashawn destru ice staff for a nice tick and paired it with Oaken soul, nobility in decay, and Balorgh to top it off. still deciding if i should go full heavy, stam, or light.
Your video inspired me to do a version for Necromancer and 1st time doing this Archive I finished arc 3. Wanted to go further but apparently instance reseted iself when I went afk for an hour. Anyway very good explanation, very good informative video. Keep up the good work! This channel deserves more subs
Hey dude I rolled this on my Nord warden on the weekend and I've been having a great time with it, and it inspired me to work on a DK status effect build also. This is just great work. Instant like and sub
Thanks!
@@CreativeExcusesGaming you're very talented at this build stuff, I wanna see a lot more of this 😄
Omg i know that name FUTERKO !! i have visited your hansel and gretel house ! was so well made , congrats !
Huh
Hey, just a little point of info for you. The vision buff (aramils training) makes focused efforts give 500% more status effect damage. Yes its ridiculous.
Great job. Just a note, your health recovery would go up another 30% just by using your tri-pots consistently. Just noticed you don't use them much.
I use them when i feel like I need them, but also once you get the vision that makes major buffs last longer, you dont have to pot up as much which is nice for the wallet! I believe I had one or two of those during this run
Damn This is Nice. Great Discovery Creative Excuses Guy!
Makes me wonder if using Heartland Concuror on my Arcanist would be anygood.
Arcanist doesnt have quite as much access to good status effects, so I wouldnt go heartland conqueror on it I dont think.
@@CreativeExcusesGamingthey do have 15% to all status effects but idk if thats as good as warden 1k buff
That 15% stacks additively with focused efforts it it works like every other percentage boost in the game, so its 515% for an arcanist. Its a drop in the bucket unfortunately. Someone had the idea of using Runecarver with Arcanist though, and a Runecarver + Heartland Conq setup and enough dots could provide a massive amount of burning damage without requiring an ice skill
@@CreativeExcusesGaming yeah I figured it wouldn't be as good. Does the warden 1k get multiplied though or is it just after the fact?
@@callumprice1710 it gets multiplied through as far as I can tell! Otherwise it would only hit slightly harder than concussed or the other direct damage status effects, but its hitting about 2x harder than those
I am curious about using the concentrated force staff from asylum sanctorum with this. But it might mean no monster set though.
Im not actually using a monster set. The build is linked in the description if you want to read about it, but I am using two 5pc sets: heartland conqueror and ice furnace. Heartland conqueror + the charged trait actually guarantees all three status effects on EVERY Force Pulse instead of every other force pulse, while it also buffs the snot out of my other skills causing status effects.
Base status effect chance for single target direct damage is 10%. Destro staff + hq charged is an 830% chance increase, plus another 30% from the blue champion point passives, that puts the total chance at like 86-96% for a status effect on every force pulse depending on how exactly the 860% increase is handled. Technically not guaranteed, but much stronger than the Asylum destro staff unfortunately, especially because that increased chance also applies to your other skills so you end up with a roughly 40-50% chance for burning on every frostfire proc, 100% chance on Arctic Blast and Winter’s Revenge, almost 100% chance on the bear attacks, a very high chance on the Northern Storm ultimate and so on.
@@CreativeExcusesGamingim not seeing the link for the build in the description. It might be me just being blind i guess
@@daFirePsycho Its not you! Its me. eso-hub.com/en/builds/smalliceburg/9a5564d1-485c-4366-9ac9-0eefd50d3514/maximum-effort-endless-archive-magicka-warden?
try switching out the heartlands for serpents disdain, those 4 second status effects are now 20 seconds long and helps a lot in later arcs where ur more concerned with survival than trying to micromanage uptime on those effects, also dont forget to heavy more often not just for the resource return but for that nice damage shield from a frost heavy
The only time you need longer than 4 second uptimes on burning is maybe when kiting the big bosses, but with charged on, you will be proccing burning ~25% of the time on ice furnace hits which is already 100% uptime, and on heartland you get as many burning ticks as there are seconds in the fight on a single target (if not more which I have seen a few times).
On the big bosses when kiting, you can just swap out force pulse for frost reach, and keep using elemental susceptibility and youll get fantastic burning uptimes without even thinking.
If I were to swap out heartland, it would probably be for Pillar of Nirn, Aegis Caller, or even Order’s Wrath for significantly more crit chance and some additional crit healing percentage.
Where's from the DOT we got on 4th thoat boss ? im dead here and i wasnt able to know which add put it on me. It's a DOT hurting alot, you don't seems to have it on the video
Its those little buggers I bet! They float in the air and channel the attack. Its interruptable but hard to see.
The build is nice, is it safe to assume you already tried the build with frostbite?
I actually didnt try out frostbite. Im unsure how it would perform though. Depending on how many Focused effort’s you get though, it could definitely be the case that frostbite overtakes one of the two sets I am using. My guess is that maybe like 5 or more focused efforts, a charged staff + frostbite would be stronger than heartland conqueror, but I am unsure because you would lose so much burning damage, especially in AoE.
Maybe frostbite would beat Ice Furnace on bosses though? Unsure honestly as with this build I am actually trying to hit burning procs twice per second, but I am unsure if thats possible.
im not sure if i should reroll from sorcerer to warden just 4 this ^^.
or to arkanist.
There are sorc builds that can do this kind of thing! The hardest part will be survivability but a master’s lightning staff build could be quite strong here
If youre on PC na any chance i can pick your brain about this build? Ive put all the gear together but still having issues in ea
Hop on the discord if you havent already! We’re chatting about it over there
I have a question which is do you think as best morph
pulsar is the best morph from impulse and force pulse is best morph from force shock or the othwr two?
Pulsar is better in the archive because of the increased status effect chance. Force pulse is my preferred morph, but a lot of people prefer crushing. It just depends on the player and their needs
@CreativeExcusesGaming thank you so much and I ask because I feel elemental rings really need a buff as 5 to 10 second over time damage because as frost damage, the ability do suck but with your tip, im going to follow it and thank you.
I did forgot to ask if velothi mythic is still a worth and strong item to use even when it got nerf?
@xboxgamerz22 Velothi is still strong if you want a two bar build, and it is especially strong in trash fights where light attacks only hit one target.
Elemental rings has a place in pvp I think. Ive seen bombers use it in videos I think. Specifically shock ring because frost and fire kinda suck.
@CreativeExcusesGaming is velothi good for 1 bar as well or no?
Thank you for all the help as well and i do always wanna try this mythic if is good for 1 bar.
@@xboxgamerz22 Oakensoul is significantly better for one bar builds than velothi. Oakensoul is the most stat dense item in the game.
Will this work on a orc warden?
Itll be a little squishier so youll want to find somewhere to get more armor in the build, maybe protective jewelry traits or something like that, but otherwise yes!
I don't understand how the 3 status effect work, burning is just pure DoT, frostbite is ? and what does the lightning status?
All status effects last 4 seconds except poisoned which lasts 6. Burning is a 4 second dot and thats it. Chilled is a single direct damage hit that also applies minor maim (-5% damage done by the enemy). Concussed is a single direct damage hit that also applies minor vulnerability (5% increased damage taken by the enemy).
@@CreativeExcusesGaming thanks very much ! btw frostbite is no more +5% critical damage ?
@louisdedieu4662 Frostbite is a set, the status effect is Chilled. I forgot, but Chilled also applies Minor Brittle IF you are currently holding an ice staff in your hands when you apply it, which is 10% critical damage taken by the target that gets Chilled.
@@CreativeExcusesGamingMany thanks mate !
@@louisdedieu4662Glad to help! Its very hard if not impossible to find all that info in game unfortunately
nice theorycrafting
I eso said you can play as like but it's not true, you gotta do meta or people won't accept or teach you nothing,so imma copy this build if I don't get accepted by others I'm done with eso,I'm in 5 guilds and still play alone I guess I'm not nerdy enough
Almost none of my builds on the channel are meta, and I play with other people. You only have to meta chase for some of the hardest content in the game, and even then, if you look at my trifecta in Earthen Root Enclave, only the tank and healer are using meta setups. Both DPS are off meta.
Yeah it can be hard when you want to run fun verses people pushing you into the meta. The variety of off meta is huge and awesome. Just focus on what you enjoy in the game, you will find like minded people eventually
How is this outside of EA ? Worth using in any other solo content ? Looks like a fun setup.
It should be able to clear lots of solo content, like maelstrom and vateshran, and normal dlc dungeons probably. But I wouldnt try to solo vet dlc dungeons with it. The damage is a little low for that, and the sustain is too.
