May I say, as someone who has been here since the creation of Autodale, it has been an honor and an inspiration watching you grow as an artist. Your understanding of shot composition, the animation fundamentals and use of color and texture has drastically improved. Thanks so much for telling stories and making movies! Your works have made the world a better more colorful place
Words cannot describe the pure joy I felt when finding this. Finally, a series that acutely depicts the life of prehistoric animals, nothing crazy, no cut away to people sitting talking about the species, just the creatures. This is the modern day Walking With Dinosaurs I've been waiting for. :D I'm telling every dino lover I know about this. Also just a funny coincidence, Dinosauria is like the animated series version of the book I wrote on wattpad 24 Hours in the Past. Seriously, from what I saw, there are a lot of amazing similarities.
@@TsulaAngenati2292 that’s a little bit of a stretch for something that only consists of a few short films. And also, the lack of a narrator may bore some viewers. It may reach the top 10, but WWD cannot be beat, neither can WWB or Prehistoric Park. Dinosaur Planet (2003) is also a slightly underrated dinosaur program and my personal favorite. But, I am still excited for this.
You had me at “animated” and “dinosaurs”. The art is as breathtaking as always, everything from the designs of the dinosaurs to the environments looks gorgeous. The trailer alone is a masterpiece, so I look forward to seeing more! Now excuse me while I watch this a hundred more times
I hope that the newer generation of people will understand that dinosaurs were animals and not just reptilian monsters. That's why i love this, its so well made and looks so authentic! I can't wait. :O
And I'm sure even the Theropods weren't at killing mode all the time as movies like Jurassic Fart and similar ones want to make us believe! I'm sure that like modern predators they rested most of the time even ignoring passing by potential prey.
Here after seeing the conclusion of this wonderful journey. And fittingly enough, this trailer played as part of a museum exhibit in The Last Tyrant’s final few seconds. Way to bring it full circle there. David, I can’t thank you enough for this fantastic series of shorts. You’ve done the palaeo community *SO* proud.
This is truly beautiful. I’ve never seen dinosaurs depicted in such a natural-looking environment that didn’t rely on terrible CGI. Really looking forward to this!
This is breathtaking. I'm getting a “4 seasons of the year" theme: Cretaceus Canada=Winter Mating season=Spring Interior seaway=Summer Hell Creek=Autumn
I just noticed a interesting detail in the background at the end of the video, there were ruins of a city, like actual skyscrapers I have a feeling this isn't taking place in the past like we think it is
This is quite possibly going to be the best representation of dinosaurs to date, and the art style and animation as well as sound design are absolutely astounding
Dude, this looks absolutely phenomenal. The striking use of colours, the dinosaur designs, the movements, the subtle but noticeable emotions in their eyes. Absolutely breathtaking
The fact that we’ve managed to know a ton and visualize about these majestic animals without even seeing them at all is absolutely stunning, amazing work also
I love that the feathering of various members of Tyrannosauridae varies with the climate and size, as well as the little display spurs on the arms of the feathered ones! It’s a great mix of both thorough research and artistic interpretation, and really does the most famous family of dinos justice! (Also the way you had the northern variants hunting in what I assume to be either a familial or mated pair was super refreshing, I think people tend to forget that even ‘solitary’ predators can have super strong emotional bonds.)
@@rutheforbandet6157 correction, that’s a Mosasaur. By this point large Pliosaurs like Liopleurodon and Predator X had already become extinct long before the late Cretaceous
@@rutheforbandet6157 agreed. Knowing Dead Sound though, he’d obviously have a good scientific explanation for this. Even when he was working on stuff like Dead Sound or Don’t Feed the Freaks, he always goes to museums or aquariums to help him design creatures he makes for his project.
The attention to detail with the feathers and quills is very nice, but I'm more focused on the hairs on the pterosaur and rounded wing tips, instead of the inaccurate scaled, pointed wings in most media. Great job!
The little raptor mimicking the sounds of icicles falling, those arctic wooly yutyrannids and pachyrhinosaurus’s were more speculative but still rather realistic and beautiful
Not since Jurassic Park and Walking With Dinosaurs have I seen this much beauty in these animals. Seriously though, not since the First Jurassic Park or Walking with Dinosaurs have Dinosaurs been so beautiful.
Hauntingly beautiful as always. I’m so excited to see what’s in store! Also, props for the realistic parasaurolophus noise! It’s my absolute favorite dino :)

@@theotheseaeagle rip, planet dinosaur's accuracy is now be rusty af. already time when a dinosaur documentary can provide more updated infos, imo it was a good documentary on it's time but today? no sadly
1:45 I know that was to announce 'the big guy' but I hope you have some moments in your series where carnivore and herbivore dinos share the same space without attacking each other. We don't see that often enough in dino documentaries when it's not uncommon in nature.
Just because the predator isn’t on the hunt doesn’t mean the herbivores will tolerate its presence-in real life the trend is that if a predator is around but not hunting, the herbivores still keep their guard up, even if they don’t immediately flee.
@@bkjeong4302 yes they do keep ready to run/watch the movements of the predators, but they can do that while still eating not too far away from these predators. Usually one in the herd keep watch while the others eat
Seems like that dino is actually going to be the star of the last episode! In the making of sea and sky video there's an unfinished theropod sculpture that looks pretty similar :)
I saw “Sharp Teeth” a while back and it _somehow_ never occurred to me that you were the same guy that did “Autodale.” But knowing that you’ve already put out those two _exceptionally_ well-done shorts/series - along with a bunch of other animations that I need to watch - makes me extremely excited to see what the full series here will be like. Dinosaurs have always been a passion of mine and so seeing them portrayed so accurately and with such gorgeous art and animation is truly breathtaking.
The blend of cinematic beauty and accuracy of these animals and their environments is amazing! Beyond amazing! I cannot wait for episode 1, excellent work!
I am honestly so freaking close to crying. Not one of these creatures spoke a single word but I was brought to near tears by the beauty of the music, the dinos themselves, and the style of the models, just... Dude, I haven't been this invested in a piece of dinosaur media since Primal, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Your use of color is frankly the most beautiful I have seen. Even animations that make good use of color, don't manage to do what you've done here. The shots from 0:45 to 0:54 are absolutely stunning. I love the contrast between the old, greying Triceratops and the vigorous lively trees. I can instantly intuit a big chunk of the character just from this contrast and that's beautiful!
Looks phenomenal!! Can't wait to see actual series being animated and I'm glad you are doing what you like and love instead of forcing yourself to do something just because others tell you do so Great work man!!
I just have to say, this trailer alone shows me why I love dinosaurs so much. With the diversity and imagination put into them, they are truly awesome creatures. And your imagination and keen eye are truly astounding sir. I cannot wait for this series.
I like both also. I don’t like the large majority of the dino/paleo community because of all this toxicity on how dinosaurs should look. Just enjoy it or leave there’s always a different artists version of them elsewhere
I just have to say that this looked so amazing. The designs of these animals are outstanding and it really looks like you tried to make them as accurate as possible. Can't wait to see the whole series!
absolutely beautiful. By far the best part (IMO) is the raptor mimicking the sounds of the falling ice in the beginning, that just screams how much love and thought will be put into this.
The music and the animation, paired with the whimsical art is honestly enough to make my whole body tingle, and my heart swell with anticipation and reverence.
This whole thing looks so grandiose and magnificent, but finally seeing some accurately-feathered raptors and T-Rexes (Edit: I have been informed that it was actually a Nanuqsaurus, which is closely related to the T-Rex) brings me so much joy to my dinosaur-obsessed brain. Thank you for blessing us with something you have clearly put so much time, effort, passion and research into.
Feathered T-Rexes are not accurate anymore. A bunch of skin prints from various body parts (including back, tail and the back of the neck) were discovered, yet no sign of feathers anywhere. So, the Trex was most likely naked, as is evidenced in one of the shots. The Nanuqsaurus wasn’t, though. And I believe the feathered tyrannosaurid in the winter environment is Nanuqsaurus, rather than Trex.
The white feathered tyrannosaurids we see here in the trailer aren’t T.rex itself but a smaller relative called _Nanuqsaurus hoglundi_ . The T.rex is the larger species we see in the brown colored background shots (1:46 and 2:36)
People used to say a feathered tyranosaurid wouldnt look intimidating because it would look too much like a bird. If they want to stand in front of the thing, more power to them but I'm no snack. I'd still be plenty terrified of such a thing, if anything the feathers just make it look bigger.
@@enfieldlammergeier afaik, it's _technically_ possible t. rex had a light coat of simple feathers, but it certainly wouldn't've been extensive or particularly dense - and even that's looking increasingly unlikely. so, t. rex with "peach fuzz" is sorta plausible (and a fully scaly t. rex is just as (if not more) likely), but a t. rex with integument like the old saurian model is indeed impossible. and, yep, afaik that's not a t. rex
@@enfieldlammergeier Many of the T-Rex's ancestors and closely related species had been found with various amounts of feathers, which is important to keep in mind. Some even have variations of both skin, feathers and bird-like scales, akin to an ostrich (which has a belly and the back of the neck of bare skin, similar to the discovered locations you mention on the T-rex). The t-rex lived in both open areas and forests. Very few modern animals have bare skin all over, as this is not effective at temperature control (unless you wished to lose as much heat as possible) and also not effective camouflage. Many animals today have camouflage, even if not exact, they still somewhat match their environment. You mention the Nanuqsaurus (an interesting google search, thanks for letting me know), Which is incredibly closely related to the T-rex (same sub-family) and is completely covered in feathers, bar the face and feet. It did evolve before, which could mean that a large amount of the feathering dissappeared. Nanuqsaurus was known to lived around 71-68 million years ago, and the T-rex lived around 68 to 66 million years ago. I'm not a proffesional biologist but I doubt that 3 million years is enough time for feathers to completely disappear. What I am interested in, if the T-rex did not have some feathers or related structures, is what it had instead. It couldn't have had reptilian scales, since they evolved in a different manner to avian ones. The skin prints I believe you are referring to are tiny and in places already shared by partially feathered ancestors. Please let me know if I am wrong or you are referring to another more recent discovery, as I would love to learn more.
Oh my GOSH, this looks absolutely stunning! Most amount of scientific accuracy in one place that I've seen in a *very* long time. I love that it's just dinos going about their daily lives and not being Hollywoodized for it. Cannot wait for the series!
This is just beautiful. I cried the entire time, the fantasy that I and so many other people chase, in such a vivid and accurate animation, it’s almost like a dream. Thank you
I legit nearly cry. I've always had a passion for dinosaurs since I was but a little cub. They've always fascinated me in a way that no other clade of organisms have. I've been waiting for something like this for ages. Not since Walking with Dinosaurs have I been so enamored by a project that aims to depict dinosaurs as living, breathing, thinking, and feeling animals, and not just monsters out for blood.
This looks beyond amazing. The art style is wonderful, the animation is fluid and lifelike, and the overall presentation is majestic. Can’t wait to see this fully realized!
Your artistic design of dinosaurs are some of the best I’ve seen on this platform. The way you present them reminds me of why I love these creatures so much. Words cannot express how excited I am to see more of your work with the subject that I and most other people here love :).
It just connected with me the Troodon (?) at the beginning was mimicking the sounds made by the falling icicles, like a parrot or a raven. That’s such a creative idea to give dinosaurs talents like that nobody ever thinks of!!!!
This trailer alone was breathtaking! The colors are gorgeous, the environments are atmospheric, the animals themselves look amazing, and their behavior and sound effects feel believable. I especially love the dromeosaur in the snowy forest making those clicking sounds with its beak. It really enlightens our recent understanding of dinosaurs in many ways. Can't wait for the series itself!
This looks absolutely phenomenal, the only minor criticism on my part would be the lack of shadows cast by the animals. Aside from that, absolutely superb work. I cant wait to see more

This is some of the best dino media I've seen in years. The art style is delightful, I love the color choices, and the DINOS! The big fluffy arctic theropods, the fuzzy ceratopsians from the same area, the way all the other ornithischians moved, and, of course, how our sole classic dromaeosaur in this trailer just looks like a horrible goose made of knives. God, I love dinosaurs.
Bro, the animation quality, physics, color theme and scheme, the accuracy looks of dinosaurs, the music, the behavior of dinosaurs and the things they do other than being reptilian monsters who never gets tired mauling other creatures. It's just. *PERFECTION.*
I love how unique your art style is. The techniques you've shown in your other videos explaining Autodale, as well as your backgrounds, create this super recognizable style. Even with just the thumbnail I know this is a Dead Sound animation. Amazing, super excited for this new series!
I think one of the most impressive things about this, besides the obvious quality of the animation is how well you expressed the size of the dinosaurs. That feeling you get watching Jurassic park when you see the Bronto for the first time, or seeing a wolf or beat in person. The realization of ‘oh, this animal is enormous and beautiful’

This is the best dinosaur-related series and it hasn’t even come out yet
@TigerBiteCK very much so
@LeadBallimpDudeV11 that’s the best part about paleontology though. It’s ever evolving (pun definitely intended)
Same
He just had me at "dinosaurs", also I thought that the movement looked legit, and glad to finally see some dino's with feathers.
@@PaulThompson-ye3mu Same I love feathery dinos
I hope that the newer generation of people will understand that dinosaurs were animals and not just reptilian monsters.
That's why i love this, its so well made and looks so authentic! I can't wait. :O
They kinda were.
yes
@@NeovenatorGuy they were just animals!! big boys, but animals nonetheless
And I'm sure even the Theropods weren't at killing mode all the time as movies like Jurassic Fart and similar ones want to make us believe!
I'm sure that like modern predators they rested most of the time even ignoring passing by potential prey.
same
Here after seeing the conclusion of this wonderful journey. And fittingly enough, this trailer played as part of a museum exhibit in The Last Tyrant’s final few seconds. Way to bring it full circle there.
David, I can’t thank you enough for this fantastic series of shorts. You’ve done the palaeo community *SO* proud.
From it’s ashes came the Kingdoms of Sauria.
This is truly beautiful. I’ve never seen dinosaurs depicted in such a natural-looking environment that didn’t rely on terrible CGI. Really looking forward to this!
This is breathtaking.
I'm getting a “4 seasons of the year" theme:
Cretaceus Canada=Winter
Mating season=Spring
Interior seaway=Summer
Hell Creek=Autumn
I think that could be the idea…..Detective Dinamosaur
I just noticed a interesting detail in the background at the end of the video, there were ruins of a city, like actual skyscrapers
I have a feeling this isn't taking place in the past like we think it is
@@kingkurok3149 when was that at?
@@odysseus5322 when he starts talking and the supporters are being shown

I'm hyped for this series
Agree I'm excited to see this I don't know when the first episode come out. But I'm excited
It’s been too long since i’ve been this excited for something
I love your depiction of Pachyrinosaurus, like a oxen or mammoth. So cool.
The dude put more heart than what bbc did
just the fact that you have 3D models and it fits PERFECTLY into this 2D art style, is austonishing!
I can already tell this will be one hell of an animated series.
THAT. PLIOSAUR. IS. SO. ROUND. OH. MY. GOD.
@@rutheforbandet6157 That was a Mosasaurus.
@@rutheforbandet6157 correction, that’s a Mosasaur. By this point large Pliosaurs like Liopleurodon and Predator X had already become extinct long before the late Cretaceous
@@lochness5524 Ah, yes, you’re right about that. Still a very round bio tho
@@TsulaAngenati2292 I believe its a troodon vs nunaqsaurus.
@@Cplblue ah, thank you
The feathered dinosaurs were so pretty! That little troodon from the beginning reminded me of a snowy owl💙
@@Cplblue troodon is a dubious genus. Use troodont instead
Wow this is really good
Despite only seeing this trailer, I already know this is gonna be something special!
This is a series worthy of standing alongside beloved dinosaur documentaries like Walking with Dinosaurs, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, Dinosaur Planet, and Prehistoric Park.
Why is Planet Dinosaur not on here? In my personal opinion Dinosaur Planet was trash
@@theotheseaeagle did you... just bash my childhood?
@@rushnaanmir1084 yea? Just my opinion, Dinosaur Planet is outdated and the models look terrible when you compare them to Planet Dinosaur. No offence
@@theotheseaeagle rip, planet dinosaur's accuracy is now be rusty af. already time when a dinosaur documentary can provide more updated infos, imo it was a good documentary on it's time but today? no sadly
@@barkyonyx962 and Dinosaur Planets accuracy isn’t also severely outdated
1:45 I know that was to announce 'the big guy' but I hope you have some moments in your series where carnivore and herbivore dinos share the same space without attacking each other. We don't see that often enough in dino documentaries when it's not uncommon in nature.
Same. Mabye the others get startled at first, but then the rex just comes to take a drink then take a nap or something
Yo come over here I got tell you something… he’s already made a ton of amazing animations and maybe you could idk…. Check them out?
The blend of cinematic beauty and accuracy of these animals and their environments is amazing! Beyond amazing! I cannot wait for episode 1, excellent work!
I am honestly so freaking close to crying. Not one of these creatures spoke a single word but I was brought to near tears by the beauty of the music, the dinos themselves, and the style of the models, just...
Dude, I haven't been this invested in a piece of dinosaur media since Primal, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Bro what is just a series any dinosaur can't talk
Your use of color is frankly the most beautiful I have seen. Even animations that make good use of color, don't manage to do what you've done here. The shots from 0:45 to 0:54 are absolutely stunning. I love the contrast between the old, greying Triceratops and the vigorous lively trees. I can instantly intuit a big chunk of the character just from this contrast and that's beautiful!
i hate to be that guy... but that's not a triceratops.
Styracosaurus
Couldn’t agree more. Also, found my doppelgänger.
Looks phenomenal!! Can't wait to see actual series being animated and I'm glad you are doing what you like and love instead of forcing yourself to do something just because others tell you do so
Great work man!!
This is GORGEOUS. Someone depicting dinosaurs as the beautiful animals they were.... brings a tear to my eye
I think first episode comes out September 9th
Wow, the visuals are absolutely amazing. The art on this channel has improved so much!
Props to the camera guy who survived millions of years to record and bring this to us
I just have to say, this trailer alone shows me why I love dinosaurs so much. With the diversity and imagination put into them, they are truly awesome creatures. And your imagination and keen eye are truly astounding sir. I cannot wait for this series.
This was such a beautiful animation, AND IT WAS JUST A TRAILER! AMAZING JOB!

Seeing as we're getting both... I will happily take both.
Same here.

I like both also.
I don’t like the large majority of the dino/paleo community because of all this toxicity on how dinosaurs should look. Just enjoy it or leave there’s always a different artists version of them elsewhere
@@ianr8060 Exactly. I don't care if a dinosaur is inaccurate, I just don't want a Stegosaurus to fight a T-Rex in the Cretaceous.
@@pman56789 honestly the only time i care for inaccuracies is if it's meant to be realistic and the dinosaurs look ugly.
That styracosaurus is legitimately one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen

I just have to say that this looked so amazing. The designs of these animals are outstanding and it really looks like you tried to make them as accurate as possible. Can't wait to see the whole series!

Oh hey! I was really looking forward to this, especially since it (according to you) was much more fun to do than your other projects :D
Edit: fixed :F to :D

😭🥺 So beautiful
Nice to see you here
Dinosaurs have always made me emotional, but is on a whole new level!
Also I’m glad to see you here, love your content!

Good to see you here
Hey my favorite girl who like to talk about dinosaur how you been
I love the animal designs and the my most favourite designs so far is the Pachyrhinosaurus design as it takes on the bison like appeal
There are three types of pachyrhinosaurs one is with feathers if I am not wrong
This trailer alone has had more effort put into it than I’ve put into literally all my creative projects.
Ok Dr bright time to switch bodies and go back to your site
Are you one of the dinosaurs in this, Dr. Bright? That'd be sick.
Okay I don't see anyone mentioning yet how perfect the music is? Because my god, it's perfect
Oh my GOSH, this looks absolutely stunning! Most amount of scientific accuracy in one place that I've seen in a *very* long time. I love that it's just dinos going about their daily lives and not being Hollywoodized for it. Cannot wait for the series!
Hollywood doesn't like Science on their own way.
I cant wait to see more
I was planning on going to college to become a paleontologist until I got spinel stenosis I've been stuck at my parents house now for 5 years it ruined my dream after seeing this trailer I'm crying tears of happiness someone finally understands the pure beauty of these animals and I love that you made them completely accurate so thank you and I wish you incredible luck
I'm so sorry to here that... I'm glad David has managed to bring such happiness to you and I hope this series will be fantastic
The walking with dinosaurs reference at the end was so beautiful
This is some of the best dino media I've seen in years. The art style is delightful, I love the color choices, and the DINOS! The big fluffy arctic theropods, the fuzzy ceratopsians from the same area, the way all the other ornithischians moved, and, of course, how our sole classic dromaeosaur in this trailer just looks like a horrible goose made of knives. God, I love dinosaurs.
“Sharp Teeth” was the first of your animations I saw, and is still my favorite. This is so exciting!!!

Your animation and creativity never ceases to amaze me :)
Oh my Lord this reeks of being a Masterpiece. Can't remember when I was this excited from something about Dinosaurs, one of my most favorite things in the world. Looking forward to its release when it's ready!
This is passion in it’s purest form. Your love for these magnificent creatures shines in the animation and colors
