Really a big fan of your channel and reactions, when you're done with the gravity falls series I recommend that you should check out the book, it also explains what old man McGucket saw and many other things
*"Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well. Aren't you a sight for sore eye! Stanford Fillbrick Pines my old pal!"* This line forever lives in my head rent free. As does the scene afterwards.
Remember when Stanley met Stanford 30 years earlier in that flashback and Ford was checking Stanley’s pupils for something off. Something like Bill’s eye(s).The same is seen during the Sock Opera episode with Bipper . It isn’t just a visual cue for us. Bill’s possession of people can be detected in someone’s eyes.
“hey don’t have a heart attack you’re not 92 yet!” remember the line in sock opera when he’s bipper? “hey soos, wanna know the exact time and date of your death?” bill is TERRIFYING
I mean, Bill does work on _exact_ terminology and heart attacks, just like strokes, aren't invariably fatal. Ford will have a heart attack at age 92, but there's no telling if that's when he'll die.
The memory of Stan calling Ford "a dangerous know-it-all" confirms that after the cyclotopus incident, Ford just... stayed behind the vending machine and listened to his family for quite a while. It makes me feel pretty sad for the guy because before Stan let Dipper hang out with him, Ford really did want to connect with his family and what Stan said really stuck with him. In the storyboard version of the "seeing Ford's thoughts" scene, it also had Ford thinking about a deleted TOTS line of post-portal test McGucket telling him "you're the one with the sickness!" and a childhood memory of children chanting "six fingered freak" over and over again...
Oh my god, how did I never realize that, that's so sad... But then again, Ford made some massive mistakes too to get to the situation he's in, it's not entirely Stan's fault. Ford kiiiinda deserved some of that. And according to the real life journal (spoiler alert) he didn't really try that hard to reconnect with his family either. Even after 3 decades away from home, he still didn't take family and friendship bonds seriously and thought he could just do everything alone. That's Ford's biggest flaw, he sees himself way above others because of his past accomplishments. When a bond between him and someone else breaks, he just feels sad and doesn't really try to fix it himself because he refuses to accept his mistakes.
One overlooked thing in this episode that I think is pretty important is that it finally explains how Ford and Fiddleford were able to build the portal in the first place. Given that Bill Cipher might be all-knowing, it now makes sense how just 2 people were able to do solve and build what Einstein and thousands of other physicists never could. The 2 main theories of the universe, General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, are both incompatible with each other and cannot explain the cause of Gravity, and whether or not we can control it to open wormholes. Bill Cipher explaining how to finally solve these equations shows how Ford was able to build a portal using knowledge beyond what any single human could discover, and it also shows us just how much Bill knows about the nature of our universe. As for what Bill can and can't know, I've always theorized that he knows everything about our universe, but that his own actions subtly change how events will eventually play out. This is why he has been defeated before by Dipper and Mable. His own actions influence the future, which means that he cannot know everything. Remember when he says to Soos in The Sock Opera "Hey Soos, wanna know the exact time and date of your death?"
That was actually confirmed by Alex Hirsch when he did a Q/A on Reddit when he was possessed by Bill. He can see all possible futures in any universe he is in it just takes effort on his part which is why he didn’t do it in weirdmagedon because he thought he already won
This is one of the best episodes due to the reveal of Ford and Bill being former "business allies". Plus Ford telling Dipper about how well he did with his reaction was great. It just shows how they can't trust anyone if Bill possesses someone they know. Since that's why Ford was acting the way he did to his brother towards the end of the Flashback in a Tale of Two Stans. He was concerned with the idea of someone being controlled by Bill going after him.
Now you know why Ford was so paranoid when Stan first came to Gravity Falls to see him. Ford thought that the next person at his door could be Bill. "Are you here to steal my eyes?" Was Ford's way of asking if you were Bill here to possess him. You also now know why Ford was checking Stan's eyes. He was double checking to see if Stan was possessed by Bill.
CIPHER UPDATE: This episode has quite so many ciphers in it. There’s a cipher on the folded paper about Bill. It decodes to, “Black and White”. There are a bunch of ciphers on Ford’s old chalkboard. It makes zero sense what they translate to, but together they say, “THINK LIAR ON; AP; ES N; R; M; S; D __TE; PY R”. There’s lastly one giant cipher in the cave from Ford’s backstory and it decodes to, “IT STARTED WITH BAD DREAMS WHICH BECAME NIGHTMARES. I WAS FOOLISH, I WANTED ANSWERS, I PAINTED THE SYMBOLS, I SAID THE WORDS: WHEN GRAVITY FALLS AND THE EARTH BECOMES SKY FEAR THE BEAST WITH JUST ONE EYE.”. The key word, “SCHMENDRICK” can be seen on the stump inside the gnome tavern. The end credits cipher decodes to, “A SIMPLE MAN WITH EAGER EARS MAY TRUST THE WHISPERS THAT HE HEARS” and the cipher on the end picture decodes to, “IN CIPHER'S GAME HE NEEDS A PAWN BE SURE TO KNOW WHICH SIDE YOU'RE ON.”. Fun Facts: You should definitely freeze frame and look at Dipper’s thoughts; it’s very adult-like. At the end of the tavern scene, you see a sign that says, “R.I.P Schembuluck Sr.” (who we’ve previously met in A Tale of Two Stans). The unicorn is voiced by Sam Marin who does half of the voices on the Regular Show. If you remember in Dreamscapers when Bill said that everything you care about will change, he was talking about, THE END OF THE WORLD!
As for Bill's true appearance, I did once see a video essay suggesting that his extraordinary abilities are a product of him being a multi-dimensional entity and the yellow, triangular being we see is only his 3-dimensional aspect. Being 3-dimensional ourselves, we're simply incapable of perceiving the entirety of him (similar to the commonly presented sci-fi notion of 2-dimensional entities that could only perceive the slice of us that was intersecting their plane and thus be incapable of describing what we truly look like).
@@kullaratt.9336 In Journal 3, Bill's home is named as "The Nightmare Realm" and described as "The Dimension Between All Dimensions" and "The In-Between Space"... "Bill's universe is not exactly a dimension, but rather a boiling, shifting intergalactic foam between dimensions - a lawless, unstable crawlspace between worlds that only the strangest and most unknowable beings call home."
19:29 - *“I kinda wanted to see that battle.”* You're in luck. A little more of the battle was animated, but cut for time in the final edit. You can find it here on UA-cam. 24:31 - *“Did he just kinda tell Ford, like, ‘You're supposed to live till you're 92’?”* Well, earlier in _Sock Opera_ he offered to tell Soos the exact time and date of his death - so predicting people's deaths may be his _thing._ You only get one more breather episode, before things go off the deep end…
I like how bill Is such a phsycopathic villain , he wants to destroy the universe , he manipulates people , he posseses them , makes them suicide , tortures them and why does he do all this stuff? Because to him its funny
The battle between the girls and the unicorns is actually a deleted scene. I guess they cut it for time. But I think the whole thing is available here on youtube
YEEEEEEEESSSSS LETS GOOOOOOOOOO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, god I cannot explain how much I love that shot of Bill you used for the thumbnail, I just love it. I also love when Bill says “things change Stanford Pines.. things CHANGE” and his voice goes all deep when he says change then we get all these different photos that come up that are weirdly detailed for Gravity falls, it’s so creepy but so cool at the same time
Just noticed that Bill called Ford "sixer" which was a nickname Stan called him. Since Bill was going in and out of Fords mind I'm guessing he got that from Stan.
The fact that there's a portal in this show tells me that Gravity Falls is multi-universal. You can see Easter eggs of Bill in Rick & Morty and his tea cup with the eye on it in one of the Star Vs. The Forces of Evil episodes.
There's a popular fan theory that Bill somehow manipulated the events that led to Stan and Ford parting ways in high school. Think about it, Bill knew that Ford was the only one smart enough to build the portal, but he also knew that Stan would likely see through his flattery and convince Ford not to trust him.
In the beginning scene of ATOTS, when little Ford and Stan find the boarded up cave, just before Stan punches through the boards you can see graffiti on the boards. And one of the things on there is "Blendin was here". Now... why in the world would Blendin Blandin have visited 1960-something Glass Shard Beach? There's a theory that it has something to do with avoiding a time paradox, since that was his job, and that he might have been there briefly when the boys were too young, having over-shot the date. (spoiler). . . . . . . . (But then there's the point... hmm, we don't actually know *how long* Bill possessed Blendin for. Could Bill-in-Blendin have done a few other errands? Such as going back and breaking Ford's project before Stan even got there? People have pointed out that when Stan banged the table, that plate fell out -- and it shouldn't have been loose. Ford would not have left it loose. The screws were just about fully taken out before Stan got there. HMMMM.)
Alex Hirsch stated that when fiddleford got flung into the portal he saw bill removing his skeleton and feeding it to his friends on the other side, not only was it traumatizing but it made him go insane which is why fiddleford started chanting about bill backwards, some people have made drawings theorizing what the event looked like but I’m sure we will never know
After the finale, theres a deleted song animatic called "It's gonna get weird" that'll be fun to check out! EDIT: Actually, I think it'd be pretty neat if you reacted to some of the deleted stuff and iconic fan content when you're done! With the super long hiatuses, the fandom had to get creative to get their GF fix. Some turned to code deciphering and theory making, others turned to making music, comics, and animations! I think checking those out and just interacting with the community is one of the things I love about my GF experience
Candy, Grenda, and Wendy’s sting operation is very closely tied with Stan just running in screaming *_“MONEEEEYYYYYYY!!!”_* for the funniest part of this episode. All I’m saying 🦄
I SO can't wait! GREAT thumbnail choice! You're at the home stretch here. The rest of the episodes except episode 16 is what I'd like to "The Bill Arch".
Aaa! I remember watching this live on TV with some friends and it had been like a year since we'd seen Bill. It was so exciting and lots of fun! It's great to see more backstory and the buildup to the finale is so good.
Ehn, yes and no. Not arguing with you on that point, but Dipper's been shown to be flawed numerous times, too. It was his idea to cheat in the mini-golf game and he convinced Mabel to do it. He held a grudge towards Pacifica for longer than Mabel (and remember his line from Irrational Treasure: "Wow! Revenge is underrated!") He was also fine with using a mind-control tie against people (like Soos, and Stan) without their consent. (As Gideon says: "You two have gotten a lot more evil since the last time I saw you.") I'm not giving these examples to say that Dipper is a bad person or anything! He's awesome. But like all of the Pines, he's flawed, and that's okay. I think the point of the unicorn story in this episode is that judging whether people are "pure of heart" is a scam.
I would have considered this episode the beginning of this show's endgame if it wasn't for episode 16 having a super awkward placement (Seriously, that episode should have happened like 10 episodes ago), things are about to get absolutely crazy...
It was the worst _possible_ placement. RIGHT AFTER the house is shielded - seriously? Could it have been _one_ episode before? I know mike says that all gravity falls episodes are good but imo that episode was bad. The moral of it was also really silly.
Some of Dipper's background thoughts include: I could probably rob a bank. gosh, I hope no one was looking! maybe if I cross my legs, no one will notice. (notice what, Dipper?) man! That red bathing suit! I should really try out the president's key sometime. (yeah, he should) I miss Tyronne! (that's actually really sad :(
First of all, noone is talking enough about the Mabel's plotline in this episode, is amazing xd And the Stan "MONEYYY" is just my favourite line here XD Now, I can finally say this! In the real version of the journal 3 there are two interesting things:Ford's journey through the portal and Bill and Ford's relationship. You can see how Ford first writes about Bill like he is some kind of muse he admires, and then after the McGucket incident, everything starts getting worse and worse(Which you can see in the episode 2x12, he is completely paranoid)
Fun Facts: Originally this episode was going to be a Wendy Centric episode, where it focused on her home life. And somehow she would have gained weather controlling powers. It was scrapped in favor of this episode, which originally was going to focus sorely on Mabel. Also in the montage of Mabel doing good deeds, apparently there was supposed to show even more things she did, one of which was sending Gideon a letter about being sorry for putting him in prison. Also from what I can tell, the dream that Ford had in the beginning, apparently that was supposed to happen in the ending of the episode, "A Tale of Two Stans". But they decided not to show it and save that plot twist for later. Good move on their part. Also in the dream, you can see the portal in the background, along with the swings a young Ford and Stan used to sit on. Along with the Stan of War. Now here's something that you will love. They actually animated the fight between the girls and the Unicorns, but it had to be cut due to time constraints. Luckily, I found it here on UA-cam. So here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/hUPOzvxCDxU/v-deo.html
regarding bill predicting ford’s death, remember in the sock opera episode he said to soos “you wanna know the exact time and cause of your death?” so yeah that adds up.
I find it weird how everyone in the comments just referred to Celestabellebethabelle as "the unicorn" instead of her name when her name is freaking awesome
I'm pretty sure Bill can glimpse into the future. Because back when he invaded Dipper's mind, he predicted how Dipper would react once he wakes up. But I don't think it's a perfect ability. He can see some future events but not all of them
I really recommend buying the journal it goes way into Ford's relationship with fiddleford and bill and it's fucking fantastic. Wanna read about a man loosing his mind and refusing to sleep making him more paranoid and insane THEN BOY DO I HVE THE BOOK FOR YOU
From your latest Owl House reaction, I already know you weren't a fan of the next episode. So I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It’s one of my favorites too. Don't worry though. The one after that is one of the best of the whole series.
BTW there is a deleted scene of that unicorn fight in the UA-cam. Just search for it, it just a few seconds lol. And I love that Grenda is the character that have many funny adult jokes in this show after Stan even tho she just a kid. 😂
I’ve been so looking forward to seeing you react to this bombshell of an episode! It’s one of my favorite Gravity Falls episodes ever, if not my all-time favorite! The contrasting (but connected) A-plot and B-plot, some of the best humor, some of the most serious revelations, more lore, more backstory! It’s just a GREAT episode all around! I’m really happy that you enjoyed it so much!
I have to say that I really liked how Mabel finally got the realization that she isn't that nice and sweet like she thinks throughout the whole show she makes fun of dipper, ignores his warnings when it gonna help her, ignore him when he needs help and thinks that impressing someone she just met is more important than saving dipper life, she needed that, also she forced both Stan and dipper into dangerous situations when they don't want to do something
*Apologies for not making it to the live, BUT, I sure do wonder who I’ll possess next? Perhaps someone we know, maybe someone we don’t, WHO KNOWS! It was very fun to watch as Ford went crazy because of himself, Sixer is always gonna be my favourite*
Couldn't make the premier this week but had such a blast catching up. I still remember watching this episode for the first time all those years ago. This show somehow manages to make it feel like a drug when they give you answers and backstory, you get this crazy high and instantly want more. Masterful writing. So excited for you to see the finale for this and Arcane, the next few weeks are going to incredible, Mikey!
After Fiddleford saw what he did in the portal, he said something indecipherable. You have actually heard him say these words once before in episode 207, but this time, he says it backwards.
Another one of my favorites, so I'm sorry for the incoming ramble. For one, I personally find the unicorn plot hilarious (something about Celestebellebethabelle's existence and voice is just very funny to me and I once showed this series to a friend who absolutely lost it when she saw the unicorns, so I always have to think of her uncontrollable laughter, which brings me even more joy), but also the Ford stuff. I think it's safe to reveal by now that he's one of my favorite characters, flaws and all. 3:06 Who's saying you talk too much? I love hearing your thoughts! It's one thing to talk and not pay attention, but you almost always catch what's going on in the episode even when commenting. 15:27 Hey look! Among Ford's thoughts: I'm sorry Fiddleford. He still feels bad about what happened, even 30 years later :( 19:35 I like that Ford and Mabel had a little moment there. Because Ford joins so late in the series, there's not enough interaction between the two imo. 22:36 Yeah. I once saw someone describing Bill as being a lot like a toddler that jumps on sandcastles of other kids given incredible power and I think that's (at least partially) a great description. And horrifying. Imagine having that thing wrecking havoc in your head. 24:17 To quote Bill from Sock Opera "Hey Soos, wanna know the exact time and date of your death?". Though I personally think it's just probabilities and not set in stone, but still. Then again, he also predicted Dipper's future of 3 seconds later, so maybe the accuracy is highest when little time passes? Anyway, it is now official: Ford was tricked by Bill and being possessed by him. Since you plan on getting the Journal, I won't go into details, mostly just recycling episode information, but I just wanted to mention that his deal involved getting possessed by Bill whenever he slept. So you can imagine how bad sleeping became once he turned against Bill. The show, as often with dark themes, doesn't shove it fully in your face, but there are implications. We have a demon who finds pain hilarious, a blood-splattered Journal, paranoid ramblings of "he's watching" and "can't sleep!" as well and Ford's entire demeanor when Stan arrived in Gravity Falls. Words like "You have no idea what I'm up against. What I've been through." Constantly on edge, trying not to sleep (probably getting possessed and hurt if he does), most likely trying to sleep even LESS when Stan's arrival comes closer (imagine how the reunion might have gone if Ford nodded off before or during their meeting), immediately checking Stan's EYES when he arrives (this episode confirms you can see the slit pupils in-universe)... Yeah, there was some crazy stuff going on. The Blacklight edition of the Journal also mentions that Bill could mess not only with Ford's body, but with his head as well (f.ex. switching words around (he switched "burden" and "sea otter"), but I'm sure he could have done way worse). It was mostly played as a joke, but an ability like that is, once again, something that terrifies me. And that isn't even touching the emotional betrayal Ford went through. Bill pretended to be his friend for 2 years. Ford has both a giant ego and giant insecurities. Flattery is the perfect manipulation for people like that and we've seen in ATOTS how eager (young) Ford was to prove himself. Bill gave (or pretended to give) him the appreciation he always wanted and that's why finding out he was lying was so painful. The Journal gives us some insight on how their interactions went, I won't go into it too much, but it, but thematically, it focused on pressure (like high expectations or probably something along the lines of "If you're not good enough, I, as a muse, will be forced to look for a different mind to inspire", which would make Ford think that if things went wrong it would be HIS fault, not Bill's), flattery to make Ford WANT to please Bill (which he did) and isolation so Ford would feel like Bill was the only one who could ever understand or support him (Bill was not a fan of Fiddleford showing up, even trying to turn Ford against him (also, side note, the Journal proves Fiddleford is the best friend you can ever wish for, seriously, he put up with so much shit for Ford)).
Been super looking forward to seeing your reaction to these revelations! :D You looked about as freaked-out as Dipper during that scene, and that was great! At some point -- if you didn't already, when you were editing this -- go back and freeze-frame through all the stuff that shows up on the screens, both when Dipper is wearing the helmet, and when Ford is wearing it. Some very interesting stuff in there! (Also do that with the pages in The Cipher File, there's real stuff written on at least one of them.) 21:28: where you said, "if Ford had a run-in with Bill..." -- the audience was told that he did, because of seeing the Bill Cipher page in Journal 3 in "Dreamscaperers". Again, you have to freeze it to read all of it, but there is a bit at the bottom of the page that says "Bill has proven himself to be one of the friendliest and most trustworthy individuals that I've ever encountered --" and that is crossed out with red ink (or what we hope is red ink!), but it can still be read. And then it says DO NOT SUMMON AT ALL COSTS, and what Dipper reads aloud from the page is, ""Beware Bill, the most powerful and dangerous creature I've ever encountered. Whatever you do, never let him enter your mind." So that told us a LOT about the Author's relationship with Bill! But it happened a LOT of episodes ago. I don't think anyone can be blamed for not remembering all of those details. Finally -- surely someone has mentioned this to you before, but with Bill's return in this episode, now seems a good time to tell you again that there is a Bill Cipher AMA on Reddit, which is a lot of fun and a fascinating read! The AMA took place on April 2, 2015 -- and this episode aired on Sept. 7, 2015. So you can safely read the AMA if you want, it won't contain any spoilers (Alex was always very careful about that, anyway.) It's worth it to see what a tour de force performance it was from Alex, to do an entire AMA in-character as Bill. I think you could probably safely Google it yourself ("bill cipher ama" - it's the first thing that comes up for me), or have someone do it for you if you want to be cautious. This is one of those things that is almost a piece of ephemera -- the fandom knew about it at the time, but without us telling you about it, I'm not sure how else you could find out about it. At the very least, put a pin in the idea, for when you finish the series. :)
It actually had been previously confirmed in the episode "Sock Opera" that Bill can see into the future when he says, "Do you want to hear my impression of you in 3 seconds, AHHHHHH!" Intresting thing too, during that scene, you can see Bill's eyes look over somewhere right when he says "3 seconds."
Fun Fact: this episode was only written by Alex and no one else, and was written in 2 days. Originally the crew planned on a Wendy focused episode where they pay attention to her and her family and the stress they cause, however this episode was left scrapped. (Btw the next episode deals with human spiders but ik you already watched it)
I think it also goes to show even more why fiddleford had so much resolve in quitting the project. You can see in this episode that he had doubts long before the portal, and didn’t 100% agree with ford making a deal with Bill.
24:27 I guess he does actually! Another evidence of him possibly knowing the future is that in the sock puppet episode, Bipper told Soos, “wanna know the exact time and date of your death?”
If you are still wondering what Bill is let me tell you. He is a Dream Demon and he is 3 Trillion years old so he is older than the universe. He has almost infinite knowledge and power. Also it is not a spoiler It is an obvious thing.
That throwaway line about the metal plate in Ford’s skull is one of my favorites, because it’s a great little joke while also telling so much about Ford as a character. He’s paranoid (but rightly so), he’s straightforward and single-minded, he’s extremely competent and amusingly nonchalant about weird and upsetting things. Journal 3 reveals more about how he got the plate, but before it came out, I always imagined that he operated on himself, because he would totally go that far after how much Bill got into his head. There’s an awesome fanfic on Ao3 that depicts exactly that, called “You Are Going Down with Me,” if you’re ever in the mood to read a graphic description of a cartoon character drilling into his own skull.

fun fact, there is an actual unused part of Mabel and the girls fighting the unicorns.
I don't think it has sound, but it's still fun to watch.
Really a big fan of your channel and reactions, when you're done with the gravity falls series I recommend that you should check out the book, it also explains what old man McGucket saw and many other things
Bill Cipher is the main reason why the journal says, "TRUST NO ONE!!!".
I thought that was an obvious one seeing the backstory between bill and Stan and how he has controlled people
*"Well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well, well. Aren't you a sight for sore eye! Stanford Fillbrick Pines my old pal!"*

About the heart-attack: Yes, Bill knows when you die. In Sock Opera Bipper asked Soos if he wants to know the exact time and cause of his death.
"you never told me what your history with bill was" now that the book of bill is out no wonder ford didn't want to tell him
Mable: “morality is relative”

One overlooked thing in this episode that I think is pretty important is that it finally explains how Ford and Fiddleford were able to build the portal in the first place. “Maybe not rn, but things change Stanford Pines!” “Things CHANGE.” 2 of the best lines ever said by a villain, Cipher delivers so many good 1s
Amen, coldest line
Yeah, he's done a lot of bad things already, but that feels like the point where Bill stops being a villian and starts being THE villain.
Yeah, those lines, along with just that SHOT. Amazing sequence.
Bill is my favorite character ever
Gravity is a lie
And so is the sky
Trust in the all seeing all knowing eye
(i will never forgive Disney for cutting this song out)
1:58: Notice if you pause right here, you see a depiction of the rift, showing that Bill comes from it. Very cool detail.
I love how one of the good deeds on Mabel’s list was “abolish electoral college” 😭
What is that?
During "Sock Opera" Bill did ask Soos, "Wanna hear the exact time and date of your death?" so it is possible that he knows such things. ^_~
"I know lots of things. LOTS OF THINGS."
The first time he was introduced
The fact that Ford was laughing evil when being mind controlled by Bill was chilling.
Bill just has some of the best villain lines in villainous history.
he is the best character ever.
He is my favorite.
@@marul5849 same 😌
Now you know why Ford was so paranoid when Stan first came to Gravity Falls to see him. Ford thought that the next person at his door could be Bill. "Are you here to steal my eyes?" Was Ford's way of asking if you were Bill here to possess him. You also now know why Ford was checking Stan's eyes. He was double checking to see if Stan was possessed by Bill.
honestly this episode is one of my favorites, the scene with the “deal” alone is just so amazing 😭
CIPHER UPDATE: This episode has quite so many ciphers in it. There’s a cipher on the folded paper about Bill. It decodes to, “Black and White”. There are a bunch of ciphers on Ford’s old chalkboard. It makes zero sense what they translate to, but together they say, “THINK
LIAR ON; AP; ES N; R; M; S; D __TE; PY R”.
Maybe not right now, but things change, Stanford Pines, things CHANGE! 👁️
But... he's literally from the 2nd dimension tho. I think it's stated in the journal 3 that you can buy irl.
19:29 - *“I kinda wanted to see that battle.”*
You're in luck. A little more of the battle was animated, but cut for time in the final edit. You can find it here on UA-cam.
24:31 - *“Did he just kinda tell Ford, like, ‘You're supposed to live till you're 92’?”*
Well, earlier in _Sock Opera_ he offered to tell Soos the exact time and date of his death - so predicting people's deaths may be his _thing._
You only get one more breather episode, before things go off the deep end…
I like how bill Is such a phsycopathic villain , he wants to destroy the universe , he manipulates people , he posseses them , makes them suicide , tortures them and why does he do all this stuff? Because to him its funny
A mind-blowing episode
100% agree!!!!
The battle between the girls and the unicorns is actually a deleted scene. I guess they cut it for time. But I think the whole thing is available here on youtube
Grenda pulverising that rock has to be one of my top moments in this entire series. GO GRENDA!
9:49 I know I'm late, but Dipper's thoughts are a little on the nose: "maybe if I cross my legs, no one will notice"
Wait, if it’s deleted how can you watch it??
@@lenathefirst_4574 they released the song after the series ended. You know, like how movies have a "behind the scenes"?
BILL: "Don't have a heart attack your not 92 yet!"
FORD: 0__0
Fun fact: I didn’t know the next episode even existed til like 2-3 years after it aired, I guessed I missed that one 😂
LMFAO shit was such a disaster
Wendy rocking that Stark t shirt
Idk dipper might be more pure of heart. When has he ever not put someone else's happiness before what he saw as his own. Its kinda his thing
Ford: *protects the house to shield their minds from Bill.*
Stan: *goes on a roadtrip*
yeah, episode 16 shouldn't be just in the middle of all the action lol. Everything is going down, and Stan decides to take a road trip...
Yeahhhh, that episode wasn’t the best lmao (mostly for the placement but I digress)
The weakest episode in the series imo
It was the worst _possible_ placement. RIGHT AFTER the house is shielded - seriously? Could it have been _one_ episode before? I know mike says that all gravity falls episodes are good but imo that episode was bad. The moral of it was also really silly.
Wait what was ep 16 again, cuz I do remember a really random ep before the major events took place
Some of Dipper's background thoughts include:
I could probably rob a bank.
gosh, I hope no one was looking!
maybe if I cross my legs, no one will notice. (notice what, Dipper?)
man! That red bathing suit!
I should really try out the president's key sometime. (yeah, he should)
I miss Tyronne! (that's actually really sad :(
First of all, noone is talking enough about the Mabel's plotline in this episode, is amazing xd And the Stan "MONEYYY" is just my favourite line here XD
Now, I can finally say this!
Bro I'm so excited for him to see the final
"Mikey no likey" love that!!😭😭
Ford: All he needs is the Rift. To him it's just a game but for us...it would mean the end of our world.
Thank you. I'll watch it.
regarding bill predicting ford’s death, remember in the sock opera episode he said to soos “you wanna know the exact time and cause of your death?” so yeah that adds up.
Love the 2 tales in this episode; the girls fight outing, and the Bill background
I find it weird how everyone in the comments just referred to Celestabellebethabelle as "the unicorn" instead of her name when her name is freaking awesome
But a pain to type out!
Wanna read about a man loosing his mind and refusing to sleep making him more paranoid and insane THEN BOY DO I HVE THE BOOK FOR YOU
He's definitely said that he's going to buy it, once he finishes the series. (Smart of him to avoid it until then!)
i hope you enjoyed the book of bill!!!
This is one of my favorite episodes, I find the unicorns hilarious for some reason.
Seeing people still watching this for the first time makes me so happy,, and I love seeing the things I love through fresh eyes!
Grenda has become one of my favorites. So many amazing moments involving her
I’ve been so looking forward to seeing you react to this bombshell of an episode!
Man, things are going to just get even crazier from here! Loved your reaction, keep it up.
Appreciate that thank you! And yeah it’s going to be wild
Oh man I'm so pumped for this!!!
Diper thinking ford was possessed messed me up first time I watched gravity falls!
“Things change Stanford Pines! THINGS CHANGE” is the BEST LINE EVER. Just the scariest inflection ever.
Mabel went through a transformation; she went from being enchanted with unicorn at the beginning to being DISenchanted with them
Finally the episode I've been waiting ! This episode was amazing
*Apologies for not making it to the live, BUT, I sure do wonder who I’ll possess next? Perhaps someone we know, maybe someone we don’t, WHO KNOWS! It was very fun to watch as Ford went crazy because of himself, Sixer is always gonna be my favourite*
I love this episode, and hope that Mikey will enjoy the rest of the show! so close to the end
I love your reaction and I love you trying to Cipher out what is Bill's real motive or plan!!
Bill's voice is so shrill and kinda satisfying to hear ngl I love his sassiness and confidence when he speaks lmao
next few episodes are crazy
Couldn't make the premier this week but had such a blast catching up. I still remember watching this episode for the first time all those years ago. This show somehow manages to make it feel like a drug when they give you answers and backstory, you get this crazy high and instantly want more. Masterful writing. So excited for you to see the finale for this and Arcane, the next few weeks are going to incredible, Mikey!
After Fiddleford saw what he did in the portal, he said something indecipherable. You have actually heard him say these words once before in episode 207, but this time, he says it backwards.
I believe he shows his true form in the last episode. He uses his yellow triangle form because it's not so scary.
THAT T-SHIRT OF THE BATMAN 😭✋🏻 loved it
That movie was brilliant!
He still feels bad about what happened, even 30 years later :(
19:35 I like that Ford and Mabel had a little moment there.
Can't wait for the next episode. Hope it's a lore based episode and doesn't just exist as filler content.
(Also do that with the pages in The Cipher File, there's real stuff written on at least one of them.)
21:28: where you said, "if Ford had a run-in with Bill..." -- the audience was told that he did, because of seeing the Bill Cipher page in Journal 3 in "Dreamscaperers". Whatever you do, never let him enter your mind."
So that told us a LOT about the Author's relationship with Bill!
There was a deleted scene abliet in animatic that shows abit of the battle between the girls and the unicorns!
I was waiting for your reaction to Stan’s moment at the end. “MONEEEY!!!”
Love the reaction!
Watching this again after the premiere.
Fun Fact: this episode was only written by Alex and no one else, and was written in 2 days. Originally the crew planned on a Wendy focused episode where they pay attention to her and her family and the stress they cause, however this episode was left scrapped.
(Btw the next episode deals with human spiders but ik you already watched it)
Mcgucket saw bill shedding his exoskeleton to feed
I think it also goes to show even more why fiddleford had so much resolve in quitting the project. You can see in this episode that he had doubts long before the portal, and didn’t 100% agree with ford making a deal with Bill.
There's some interesting stuff about Ciphers home that I've heard about...possibly you could check that out? After the end, of course.
Well people could survive having a heart attack.....
Most underrated episode in the series argue you a wall the unicorns didn’t have enough screen time to ruin this episode for me like everyone says
Ford pretty much sums up what Bill wants when he says to Bill it’s just a game but us it would mean the end of the world
This Episode Is Gonna Be Wild
The next episode is going to be wild
Nvm, just realized wrong episode I was thinking of. Still loved the reaction though
17:41 Back in the puppet episode he did ask Soos if he wanted to know the exact time and date of his death.
"The Sibling Brothers In: The Tell Tale Fable Of The Unstable Table" 😂🤣
It's so much fun to watch after we find out that Bill and Ford are just like ex
Actually there is a deleted scene of the fight between the girls with the unicorns. It's in UA-cam
This is my fav ep so far JAJAJA i love it 😍😍😍💙💙💙
