Funny enough, in the American south (at least in my personal exp) to be a good house guest, you never refuse a plate a food and you eat every bit of it, otherwise you are considered a bad house guest. My grandmother regularly asked me not to invite kids back over if they refused to eat with us. They were actually some of the nicest guests. Even Peter mostly admitted when he enjoyed something. I believe the police lady was the nicest of the bunch though.
I've always called this show "Come have awkward dinners" and this episode justified my reasons and I loved it. Peter did the classic 'I didn't come here to make friends' and then lost, but Jane did insult him first. You can't insult ppl and excuse yourself with 'its a joke' and 'I'm kidding' and expect ppl to not be horrifically offended.
Peter doesn't give a shit about what people think of him. People who don't give a shit about other people's opinions don't make good friends or partners. Remember this lesson, folks. It's one of the few generalizations that's 100% true.
Jane was no angel. She did sabotage his night and was pretty awful to him on several occasions but tried to disguise it "constructive criticism" when in actual fact they were personal. She called him fat on the first night, for example. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. I suggest you go back and watch it fully.
Some people's personalities just clash, but the way you deal with that says a lot about you. Peter obviously has very little class. He deserved to lose.
She was rude and condescending, yes. But he could have risen above that and not picked a fight. Like I said, their personalities clashed and they had to deal with that. Both could have been a bit nicer and kept some thoughts to themselves.
Jane should have watched her mouth but Peter was absolutely horrific. Truly horrific. He made his guests feel so awful and uncomfortable. I think everything could have gone perfectly and Peter would have reacted the exact same way.
Disasters happen at dinner parties. It shouldn't be the host who causes them, even if provoked. I always thought the British were super polite, not so sure after watching these shows. Peter patronized the other guests for no reason to boot. The American guy was very American and likeable but his menu wasn't really a dinner menu. It was typically American though and I could see what he was aiming for. To order guests out of the house - amazing. Especially under these circumstances.
If you look at the whole episode, the guests were making pointed remarks about their ages, weights and personalities, not a recipe for successful dinner parties, even when everyone knows one another well.
I was surprised that some English consider eggs are breakfast food only! Definitely a rather American menu, and as you say, that's exactly what he was going for.
Reading the results out is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. This poor guy is hilarious. You lost have a little dignity man. People are going to be laughing at him for decades to come. Well done Jane!
Isn't it what the rich producters wanted you to think and write ? The show was hilarious in its predictability, with the Villain, the stupid girl, the innocent foreigner and the rigid strong head. You came here to see a fight, see people tear each other up. Imagine if at work or in a shop some set up was organised for you to slip and give the worst of yourself on national TV.
I came for the obvious reason of wanting to watch the plane crash of an ending, but as an American the American guys segment is *hilarious* omg I’m dying
At the end ,Peter was picking up on Jane, accusing her for him not winning, but the irony is,Jane was the one who gave him higher points ,7.Still,it was so fun to see James Gordon and Victoria Beckham arguing!!!

Peter did the classic 'I didn't come here to make friends' and then lost, but Jane did insult him first. You can't insult ppl and excuse yourself with 'its a joke' and 'I'm kidding' and expect ppl to not be horrifically offended.
Just unbelievable!
Peter is double the size of Jane - how can he mock her weight
To be fair, she insulted him first with her "pie eating" comment. She wound him up.
They both wound each other up, but he clearly disliked everyone and burnt his bridges.
Watch the full episode. She mocked him first after FIRST Meeting him.
Men are allowed to be fat but women aren't, or something like that.
She did it first
Peter doesn't give a shit about what people think of him. People who don't give a shit about other people's opinions don't make good friends or partners. Remember this lesson, folks. It's one of the few generalizations that's 100% true.
Bro the narrator roasts Peter so hard
Adam:"Peeeterr, uhmm, took us to a dark place🦉
I would say Peter is a narcissist.
Jane was no angel. She did sabotage his night and was pretty awful to him on several occasions but tried to disguise it "constructive criticism" when in actual fact they were personal. She called him fat on the first night, for example. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. I suggest you go back and watch it fully.
Am i the only one seeing the menus backwards🔄
Kobe B.S Jesus...I’m so tired of explaining this.
It’s to avoid copyright infringement issues so it doesn’t get taken down.
@@victoriadelaney1123 oh ok....✌
@@victoriadelaney1123 maybe she didn't see you comment on this before. And if you're so tired of explaining it stop explaining it no need to be rude!
Mary Ramey 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Shaking hands with the left
I want that fish cake app dish... looks perfect!
Becky A and it’s the muppet show not Sesame Street-beaker. But I see it too
I think that beef looks delicious on peters night
I just wouldn't do poached egg on top, different sauce than hollandaise I think.
just watched this and it is amazing. The fact that they looked away from him while he tore into Jane was hilarious.
This was hilarious 😂. Peter is a soreeeee losa as us Bostonians would say
Adam is like a character straight out of portlandia
That's pretty insulting.
Some people's personalities just clash, but the way you deal with that says a lot about you. Peter obviously has very little class. He deserved to lose.
To be fair, Jane was really rude to him, but he had no reason to be so awful to the others. He burnt all his bridges and was surprised when he lost.
She was rude and condescending, yes. But he could have risen above that and not picked a fight. Like I said, their personalities clashed and they had to deal with that. Both could have been a bit nicer and kept some thoughts to themselves.
@@WillowJordan1979 Jane is a fat cow any woman who looks like that shouldn’t make fun of someone else’s weight.
Iv been looking for this episode for YEARS!!!! thanks for the upload!
Damn. I can't believe how much of a child he turned into after ASKING her opinion of him. I hope he isn't married
Hes totally the man who abuses his wife
@@Dannypopso he has a husband
WAAAAAA! To call Peter an a*sehole is insulting to a*seholes. Poor James Corden, as well!!!
Jane and Peter giving me Michael Scott and Jan dinner party vibes
😂
Thank you for uploading this episode!!!
@@animalswin2105 no I did not. I’ve seen many episodes of come dine with me and none of them were quite like this one!
Well darn. Sensitive chap.
Just soooo funny. Loved every minute of this programe.
I hope someone showed him that Jane actually scored him the highest..
I can stop watching Come dine with me now since it can't get any better than this episode
Adam is a really cool smart guy!
Peter constantly looks like someone has just smeared dog poo under his nose...
The Blink song in the middle, great choice
