FYI this song literally is comfort song for ppl who lost their beloved ones. There was ferry accident in South Korea three years ago. More than 200 teens killed in that accident. This songs is dedicated that accident. The mv it self full off symbolics to that tragedy, critism to the government of South Korea about that accident. Thank you for reacting this beautiful song. I'll hope you can enjoying this song more. 😊
The largest theory is that the song is a tribute to the victims of the Sewol Ferry incident in 2014. The song has multiple ties to the victims as well as the survivors that remain. The song is about the survivors trying to move on with their lives even though they miss the ones that were lost. Some deal with survivor guilt (Taehyung who places his head on train tracks), others struggle and see the world as dark and cold. The MV has multiple references to their past MV's as well as new ones, for the sake of convenience I'll list them here because it's my favorite video and song by them but also just in case anyone else would like to read them without watching a video although tbh watching a video on it may be easier than reading lol. I wrote a fucking book. > Survivors guilt - Taehyung. A representation of one of the teachers from the Sewol ferry who killed himself, leaving behind a note hoping that he would return to stay with his students and he felt as though he failed them by leaving them behind. > The train may represent inevitability. The path of life that we seem confined to. > Jin. Jin has been a reoccurring figure representing Death in the music videos. Ever since their old MV's it's been speculated that Jin has died and is watching over the group which is why he makes camera motions with his hands and remains at the bottom of the stairs instead of going up with the rest of the boys as though he's being left behind and simply watching. > Namjoon (RM). RM may represent Time and Change. Throughout the music video he moves us through the train and references the movie Snowpiercer and the book title 'Omelas' is placed on the motel right before he enters. When RM begins moving to the front of the train and confronts the others he represents a change that society needs. SNOWPIERCER: A movie in which the high class are placed at the front of the train and the low class are forced to suffer and work at the back of the train. In the very front of the train, enclosed in a small space is a child. Only a child can fit in there and manipulate the pieces of the train and so the entire train, which keeps them all alive, hinges on the work of a child. A man realizes there is an opportunity to leave the train which they are in because they believe the world has frozen. He realizes this because he sees snowflakes, and if the world was frozen it would be too cold to have snowflakes. Snowflakes are constantly referred to in the music video. When the back of the train members finally go to front the higher class members they meet in the middle of the train and fight. When RM opens the door to the hotel they throw a cake in his face and are "play fighting" with each other (a correlation to the actual battle in the movie). OMELAS: A short story in which an entire city is allowed to live in peace based on the suffering of a child. Everyone is comfortable with this. This reference refers to how the government tried to cover up the situation to make it sound better than it actually was. South Korea places a lot of stress on their kids and their suicide rates are constantly growing, as a result of hard labor and intense work they have an impressive work ethic and are incredibly intelligent but at the price of many children, teens, adults, etc, feeling depressed and lost and end up committing suicide. > Jungkook on the train; Jimin by the water + dance choreography: In the dance practice they do of this song at the very end Jin (who we believe to be dead) reaches out to Jimin and holds his hand and then comforts him. In the end of the music video Jimin places shoes on a tree which in many cultures represents that someone lost their life. The shoes could represent all of them but it's more likely that it represents two of them. When they're sitting in front of the cake you'll notice that Jin and Jimin are both smiling while the rest of the group looks sad and depressed, possibly hinting that Jimin has died. Jungkook also plays a game with matches in which its said that if you light the match a certain way you'll see the dead. When the match blows out he appears alone, when he lights it again he's surrounded by his friends. (Starts to follow the MV by order) > Jungkook doesn't notice RM passing by, perhaps because RM represents Time and cannot be seen. > Jungkook in front of the ruined carnival piece may represent the loss of childhood and the passage of time. > Note that the camera is constantly tilting from side to side, a representation of how the Sewol Ferry tipped to one side so strongly that passengers were having to walk on the walls in order to escape. > Inside Omelas; the group attempts to go on with their daily lives and while it looks pretty and seems fine in the background J-Hope is holding a bottle of pills, a reoccuring theme in many music videos potentially representing the struggle to keep hopeful and the temptation of doubt. > Notice Jin and Jimin are together when Jin pierces Jimin's ears; they're closer than other members in the group for the video. > Taehyung also does the camera motions, perhaps representing that he too has finally died as he never left the train tracks. > Jin and Taehyung in the same image briefly, perhaps confirming the previous statement that the death total has increased (Jin, Jimin, Taehyung). In the following shot Jimin and Taehyung are lying together. > Jin starts the washing machine; a metaphor for the fate of the lives of the passengers on the train being confirmed and fixed. They're fated to die. Jimin appears in the background, unhappy and almost as though he's waiting? Perhaps he is still alive and Jungkook was the one killed? J-Hope, Suga, and RM are together at the side and appear sleepy and resigned, as though RM (Time) realizes he can do nothing. > Jin stares at the washing machine which reads "Don't Forget". Many people would tell the survivors of the accident to forget it happened and move on, this is a message to them to not forget the ones who were lost. > Jin stares out the washing machine, a representation of the those trapped in their rooms trying to escape from the windows. In some of the videos of the incident you can see people attempting to break the windows of the ferry before it sank. > Suga on the pile of laundry; representing the lives that were lost. > J-Hope sits on top of the train, thoughtful and sends off a paper airplane perhaps hoping that it will reach Taehyung before the train comes. J-Hope may also represent acceptance as the bright colors of the sky and the way he opens his arms(?). > Jin puts down his hands and the scene of the train looks dark and cold before it goes back to J-Hope; perhaps Jin is attempting to view the boys in a more light hearted matter than their actual depression? > Jimin holds shoes in his hands and the lights behind Jungkook turn on, potentially showing that Jungkook realizes what's happened and while everyone else is going on with their lives he struggles before eventually making up his mind and turns to run in the same direction of the train as RM. Note the yellow ribbons on the ride; yellow ribbons were used at the memorial for the victims. It's also worth noting that RM is the Leader of the group and Jungkook is the youngest perhaps showing that the young will follow the leaders footsteps and that someone must make a move in order for change to start with the next generation. > When Jungkook exits Omelas it's dark but he looks around him and sees that he's surrounded by his friends, a reminder of the #YouNeverWalkAlone. > Jungkook sees himself on the train - a reminder that life continues no matter what obstacles come in front of you but change is always possible. > Jungkook and RM close their eyes as they enter the tunnel = acceptance and the finality of death as the ship sinks. Take note that when Jungkook places the match game the color of the scene seems to have a light blue filter. > The group appears on top of the laundry and instead of it being dark it's full of flowers and a beautiful sky. Maybe we;re seeing through Jin's eyes again of how beautiful it can be or how he wishes it was even if he can't be there with them. The quick flash to the pile of laundry outside may represent that the snow being kicked up from the train is the "blossoms" they're seeing and that society is still attempting to forget the accident altogether, victims (Tae, Jimin, Jin) and the survivors (Jungkook, etc). > Jimin places his shoes on the tree which symbolizes the loss of life, the tree represents hope of new life and change. That spring will come even from the worst winter. Note that the incident of the Sewol ferry took place during spring.
Spring day makes me so emotional. The video itself is so beautiful and the lyrics make my heart hurt. And when they won the award for Spring day I was in tears. I was truly so proud of them.
I understand what you're saying about not wanting to react to the intros because you don't care about their personal lives you just care about their music, cuz that's how I was when I first started out, but it's not just a fangirl floundering it's actually really funny. Squishy Min yoongi is really good at helping new fans understand context. If you really don't want to react to the intros to the individual members you should at least consider reacting to her summaries of the different eras of their music. She starts from the beginning and it's intentionally for new fans to understand how their music has grown and changed over time.
This song is both a tribute to stories like Omelas but more than that is a tribute to the people who died in a ferry accident in Korea. It was very poorly handled by the government and a lot of people died like a whole group of students who were in high school or something died drowned because it was handled so poorly. So they released this song that's so much softer than a lot of their music as a way to help people heal
It was actually over 300 students. The scale of the tragedy was huge and had a huge psychological impact on Korea as a country. The government took action against people who were angry at the government for the tragedy so the subject almost became taboo among Korean media and celebrities. BTS took a huge risk in releasing this song; they risked alienating their own government. It was also later revealed by a third party that BTS members had each made personal donations along with their company amounting to tens of thousands of dollars to an organization that offered support to the families of the victims around the time this video was released. The music video is filled with symbolism referencing this tragedy such as the yellow ribbons that were tied to the carousel which were the same ribbons used at the memorial for the victims and also the mountain of clothes that symbolized the victims' clothing that would wash up on shore from the ocean.
Oh just a side note: RM (who wrote the song) says that it’s about missing someone .. so it’s not necessarily about a girl. There are theories about it being a tribute to a tragedy in S. Korea where lots of people lost their lives( hence the pile of clothing) Honestly as much as I love the hype BTS songs, the deep and thoughtful ones are my favorites because as I said before it’s not restricted to the topic of “relationship love”, and it shows their ability as artists to evoke different types emotions from us as listeners PS. That was Suga (agust D) rapping in the pile of clothes, RM in the beginning and Jhope was on top of the train .
Bts cover a lot of different genres. And styles,And I think that’s why they appeal to a lot of different people. As much as I adore spring day it did make me sad that Jhope did not have a verse in it. He did backing vocals on some parts tho. I’m glad they give him lines when they preform the song live though
RM was the very first one to rap in the train car. The one you paused it on to talk about his clothes. And then Suga was the one with the pink shirt on top of the pile of clothing. And Jhope was on top of the train car
And BTS actually has so so much more content you guys haven't heard yet. They have a lot of songs that are less hype and have such deep meaning in them (and they only have very few love songs), I think fans mostly request the hype songs because those are the ones that new fans like. A lot of their songs have a feeling of that old r&b vibe mixed with contemporary sounds
*I hope you take few minutes to read this. I think this is important to knoe in order to understand what BTS music is about* :) First of all, I appreciate that you like them for their music. That‘s all that counts that YOU enjoy yourselves. Ignore obsessive fans trying to force you into something. More calmer songs with deep lyrics are: So far away, Sea, Outro:her, tomorrow, rain, moving on, hold me tight, autumn leaves, Serendipity, first love, never mind (just to name a few of of all the masterpieces) 😄 About Spring Day, it’s not a love song, to understand the MV and lyrics it might be helpful to know that it‘s based on the movie „Snowpiercer“ (a dytopian sci fi that criticizes capitalism) and also on the book „The ones who walk away from Omelas“. It’s tells the story of an utopical city where every citizen is ultimately happy. But this happiness is build upon the unhappiness of one innocent child trapped beneth the city. (If you look at V and Jin when they make that box sign with their hands, that’s when they are symbolising being that trapped kid) Despite everyone knowing,no one does something against it. However there are some questioning if it's right that their happiness is build upon someone elses suffering. Those take the courage and leave Omelas. If you take a look at how the mv develops you see that they are all first in motel rooms and in the train, but then they leave together. It is exactly those leaving the city behind and walking into the unknown, that BTS are symbolising, by getting out of the train and walking on a vast field with no roads. After analysing the lyrics and storyline you’ll see that Spring Day is actually a social / political song, that states that everyone who has the courage and sensitiveness to question existing norms and how things work in the society they were born into, everyone who decides to leave those behind take a look beyond those, makes the first brave steps to creates their own reality according to their own understanding of what's right and wrong. Another reason why especially the korean general public is so in love with that song, is that there is a second important narrative in the music video. Spring day is dedicated the ones that lost their kids and friends in the Sewol Ferry tragedy in 2014. Several symbols are way more understandable having that in mind. - Jimin pulling shoes out of the water - them hanging those shoes on a tree with no leaves = symbol for death and wishing the lost one peace - the huge mountain of clothes = dead victims and many more. Spring Day wants to give hope (Spring = symbol for new beginning) and condolence. What‘s the bravest thing BTS did here is that they went further and showed that they are on the side of the victims. The victims death was actually avoidable and the responsible ones for those deaths weren’t judged properly, relatives felt helpless and left alone by SK politics. The fact that BTS combined Omelas and Snowpiercer both highly socially and politically critical stories with the Sewol Ferry tragedy is no coincidence. Their songs and MVs are always way more complex and deep that you‘d think by the first listen. :) Hope I could help 💜
RM wrote this song thinking ab his friendship with Suga. This could also be referenced to the book called Omelas which is the motel room in the MV. Or this could also be for the victims of South Korea's Sewol Ferry tragedy. This song could be anything for you but generally, it's ab love. Not romantic tho. Great to see yall after a long time yall have grown so much!
This isn't a love song, or it is, but not about romance. It's about friendship or just love in general and missing people that you care about a lot but haven't seen in a long time. BTS have said so themselves, but like with all music, you can take it however you want in the end :) But it wasn't meant as a romantic love song.
Taehyung outside on the train track, the train station name is visible; 일영 (iryeong). The train station is in Gyeonggi Province, but is hardly used anymore. It could symbolise the train once again. Taehyung looks lost, searching for a train to be with his friends again, which can come into play later on. Omelas Hotel is based off a book named “ The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas” written by Ursula K.Le Guin. Omelas is a false utopia; meaning that residents and visitors live carefree and happy days there, with nothing to worry about. It’s obvious that Omelas gets many visitors, many coming from near and far to get away from their stress filled daily lives, we see this from the “No Vacancies” sign outside the building. Also outside the hotel is a car with its lights still on; the same car from the I NEED U video. But this town has a secret to its everlasting happiness; a child, hidden, suffering to keep the balance of the happiness in check. The towns people and visitors know of this child, but ignore it, most likely fearing the burden of change. I have a feeling that it ties into the scene where it’s shot from above with Seokjin at the bottom of what seems flights of stairs, with the other members on the stairs. The only member we see paying attention to Seokjin is Jimin; all the other members ignoring him. This could tie into the shoes element that I’ll mention later. The hotel room we see, when we switch from Namjoon inside the train carriage to a hotel room. Namjoon is wearing a crown, signifying that the town has no leader and anyone can be their own leader (maybe why Namjoon is wearing the crown.) Inside the hotel, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, fun even, with even a cake being thrown. I feel like this hotel represents Omelas itself in a nutshell; the false happiness. Another scene is with entire hotel room in complete darkness. I think this ties into Jungkook running so frantically; he’s the suffering child and he’s after escaping. The darkness is the false happiness of the town slowly disappearing. Jungkook sitting in the darkness, with only a match, alone. I think this represents the time he’s spent alone and suffering. When the scene returns and it’s brighter, the entire group is with him, maybe symbolising that he’s free forever at last. In Namjoon’s first verse, he references Snowpiercer, which could maybe be the reason why a vast majority of the MV is filmed on a moving train. Snowpiercer is a fantasy film, where after disaster, Earth is plunged into an ice age, extinguishing all life except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train powered by a perpetual motion engine that travels on a circumnavigational track. At the end, they learned parts of taken children are being used instead of mechanical parts. Again, a concept of suffering children. At the very end, remaining passengers emerge from the train and learn that life still exists outside the train. Namjoon’s verse could maybe signify that he’s on a constant track that keeps heading in the same direction and never ends up anywhere(Possibly unrelated but it’s said that Namjoon and Yoongi both wrote their verses themselves and this could represent their past while underground rappers or in the beginning of BTS) It could also represent grief as this song is said to be about losing a loved one, be it a friend, lover or family member to death or even long distance. Grief has seven stages(which could be said that each member represents each stage, but that is a completely different theory) and I feel like this is them coming to an acceptance points. As I mentioned before with Jimin and Seokjin, Jimin and the shoes. Jimin is sitting on the beach, when he picks up a pair of shoes. This could tie into the Sewol Ferry Tragedy, which I think is also symbolised nearing the end of the video. The Sewol Ferry Tragedy happened in 2014 where a ferry carrying around 476 passengers capsized and sank. The vast majority of the passengers were students from Danwon High School, who were on a trip to Jeju Island. 304 passengers and crew passed away. The shoes might symbolise the death of someone close, as I mentioned earlier about the meaning of the song. If someone commits suicide sadly, they often leave their shoes. With them hanging the shoes up in the tree; in many cultures, shoes are put up high in trees so those who left them can find them when they’ve passed. It may also mean that they’re in a higher place. I noticed that Taehyung isn’t in a lot of shots and when he is, the others aren’t interacting with him. I’m not 100% sure but this could tie into the beginning of the video but also tie into HYYH, like something happened to himself, like a consequence to him stabbing his father. The clothes pile is apparently a reference to a French piece of work by Christian Boltanski. It’s said to symbolise those who’ve passed away and these are the clothes they’re leaving behind; another possible reference to the Sewol Ferry Tragedy. The Merry-Go-Round that Jungkook is stood in front, standing mainly still with a long exposure kind of shot with the other members traveling around him. The yellow ribbons that are attached to the roundabout; yellow became the representative colour of the Sewol Ferry Tragedy. Certain parts, the Merry Go Round is lit up and lovely, maybe representing life before this disaster happened and then then other parts, it’s rusted up and unused, abandoned; symbolising after the tragic disaster. Many say this video is about coming of age, mostly Jungkook as he is the youngest.
*I would like you to react to BTS from "I need u" (original ver./19+) to "Love yourself" ... This is a story that all ARMY (BTS fan) knows.* In 2015 BTS released the music video for "I need u" beginning with this story that I continue in 2016, also in 2017 and even in 2018 it will continue. In fact the most likely thing is that the next BTS music video has to do with this story, so it would be great if they reacted to it. It's like a movie made up of music videos, which they release from time to time. I leave a link with the videos in chronological order. There are many theories and interpretations to this story and I think you will never know which one is correct since BTS never revealed exactly the meaning of their videos but it is something that ARMY must discover. If you react to these videos, I give you some *tips: 1) Watch the videos until the last second since sometimes after the credits there are final scenes. 2) Pay more attention to the story of the video than to the lyrics of the song. BTS ( full story - eng sub):* ua-cam.com/play/PLANxH6iN2aQJmre1KU2jQsbfY7a8Ej2Gy.html Pd: The videos in the playlist have subtitles, but it is mostly to understand *the dialogues* that exist in some videos and serve to understand what happens in the story. *Pd2: This story begins with the music video for "I need u" (original version / 19 +)*
If you wanna see bts's lead dancer(jhope) dancing beautifully, amazingly, and stunningly check out boy meets evil, or we on for some old school bts hip hopish kinda thing idk 😂😂😂😂😂
I hate when you assume its about a girl... I mean its understandable but you really have to pay attention to the lyrics that suggest its more about friendship rather than love. And about the introductions, it really makes a difference knowing about each membefs background because some of them have gone through really tough times... Im talking like depression and what not so when you connect that to where they are today it gives you a whole new perspective of them. Their music is great but knowing their personalities and the relationship they have with eachother makes all the difference
Lyrics are subjective and can mean different things to people, but I believe RM stated this was about missing friends. Many believe the video was a homage toward the Sewol Ferry Tragedy. This video ( ua-cam.com/video/Tye1ONFeKis/v-deo.html ) breaks it down. Very much worth the watch. Also, BTS covers many different genres & styles. I would definitely recommend checking out Butterfly & Young Forever. Both aren’t that typical “turnt-up” type, but lean more to a softer, & like Spring Day, they have very deep meaning. To really get a feel for the vocals, you should check out Let Me Know & House of Cards.
Tony and Tae could you please react to " bts spring day MV Explained " And the first one was rm ... they change their hair colour almost in every mv ... the second with the pink like sweater was suga/agust D
It's one of those emotional songs of BTS... I call her queen Spring Day... :) It has every right to claim Song of the Year... the song is for missing someone... someone far from you... someone you can't be with anymore... I'm very much attach to this song since I lost my dad few years ago.. this song had so much impact on everyone.. thanks for reacting to it...
it's okay if you don't wanna react to their intros. it's great to see you guys enjoying their music. btw j hope soon will release a mixtape I'm saying in advance please react to it :)
And the clothes represent the clothes of the the people that lost their lives on the ferry. Spring Day isn’t about a girl. It’s about the sewol ferry tragedy. Mostly all BTS songs aren’t about girls. They are about friendship, family, women empowerment, society, mental illness. Yeah you could translate their lyrics to missing a girl or whatever but it’s not like that with their songs. But they’ve said you could translate to whatever you are feeling. I recommend you watch a theory video about Spring Day ua-cam.com/video/Tye1ONFeKis/v-deo.html you will understand the video more. This theory is like I said about the sewol ferry tragedy
Sadly, jhope doesn't have main lines in this song, but he does the very first part and another one in the middle in the live version. First to rap is RM/namjoon and the guy who raps in the clothes is agust d/suga
The lyrics are not about someone in specific, it's just about someone you miss. Me, for example, I always thought of them applying more to a friendship relationship, that's what I see in this video: Jungkook searching/missing his friends. Every time I read it, It makes me miss my friends so much. but y'all can take it however you want, that's the point of this. I'm glad you guys liked it.
IMO, this song is dedicated to their mothers. That they are coming home and to wait for them. The merry go round and the shoes hanging on the tree signifies the memory of their youth. That the darness of winter is almost over, this signifies their separation and the Cherry Blossoms comes out in Spring. We all know Spring brings a lot of color and happiness to many. “I miss you, I miss you.” As a mom, I can only imagine the agony of being separated from their mothers majority of the year. Suga’s lyrics are a little poignant because he left home very very early in life due to lack of support from his parents. But all is good now, This beautiful song makes me sad because it reminds me of what these boys went through.
I fully understand and respect your reasons for not wanting to get to deep into BTS's personal stories. You don't have to do all that to still fully appreciate their music.
If you see the point where the lone boy (Jungkook) runs through all of the sets like he’s looking for someone and then all of them finally are together in one scene and he smiles bc he’s with his family again. Then they run down the alley but stop when the train rushes past. Jungkook in the alley sees Jungkook the lone boy on the train since the video and they recognize each other. Then later it shows that Jungkook isn’t alone on the train anymore. That’s why I think they are talking about missing the group members and not a girl.
J-Hope (Hoseok) was singing in the background. He was supposed to be a Vocalist in the beginning, but he taught himself to rap and now V (Taehyung) is a Vocalist.
RM was the first one to rap, Suga(Agust D) is the one with the pink sweater and Jhope is the one on top of the train. Also RM said the song was about missing someone. Also this has nothing to do with BTS but.... When the mv ended and it showed the other mvs my eyes immediately went to Jonghyun's mv.... I miss him so much :'( Also sorry I haven't been watching your videos. I've been down since Jonghyun passed away like I've only recently started going on again watching reactions and stuff were as in before I only went on to listen and watch his and SHINee's music videos . But I'll binge watch the videos I've missed right now!
I think someone told you guys that BTS had deep lyrics, right? This video is an example... It's full of imagery that has meanings. Please watch: BTS Spring Day MV EXPLAINED | Sewol Ferry, Snowpiercer & Survivors (Briefly, it's about a tragedy where more than 500 high school students were drowned and the gov't tried to cover it up. The gov't even clamped down on media and entertainment so no one was allowed to even mention it. BTS managed to make this award-winning video that never even mentioned it by name.)
This song is about loss and a huge horrible accident in Korea that killed a lot of kids (a ferry full of school kids sank), so not so much about missing a girl, but that can be part of the meaning and feeling that people get from the song. Sadness and longing. Please react to Blood Sweat and Tears!
thank you for reacting to spring day, YOU REALLY SHOULD react to their solos in " WINGS", their album. Jimin with " Lie", Tae ( V ) with " Stigma ", Suga with " First Love", Jhope with " Mama", Jin with " Awake" and RM with " Reflection ". ITLL BE WORTH IT, I PROMISE. u see, in these yall will be able to see the other member's talent, their powerful and incredible vocals and meaningful lyrics. PLEASE REACT TO THAT, BEIJOS ♡
This song isn't about a specific gender of any person or romantic feelings it's just about missing someone. They say it is about the Sewol Ferry incident which was a huge accident in korea and hundreds of people died. This is a song about loved ones no matter who they are and several times in the song they say "friend" or "best friend" and this song has no gender pronouns in it.
i get u two with not " needing" to know their personal stuff, but once you get to know them a little it completely changes your perspective on them, and it helps understanding the lyrics, ANYWAY, hope u react to their solos and ENJOY 'EM
I feel like they are talking about themselves in the future. They know with their lives, careers, and mandatory military service that they won’t always be together.
React to `who is bts: the seven members of bangtan' by suga & spice..by knowing their backstory u will appreciate their music more & recognize the differences between each member better
Beautiful song and video, thank you for your reaction! Maybe react to some of their older videos. Also try NCT U ‘boss’, ‘open your eyes’, ‘baby don’t stop’🤗
Also, this songs about friendship :) and a ferry accident where unfortunately hundreds of students passed away. Thanks for the reaction ‼💕( www.theweek.co.uk/world-news/58164/south-korea-ferry-death-toll-hits-100-salvage-begins)
PLEASE react to BTS Spring Day MV EXPLAINED | Sewol Ferry, Snowpiercer & Survivors its a video that explains what spring day is really about its very deep it will be cool to hear ur guys thoughts on it
Just binge watched a bunch of your videos. Nice that you're army now, lol. This is the other side of BTS. Metaphorical and full of symbolism. This song is more about someone close to you dying. And yeah, hair color changes in every video.
I think Army shouldn't request this song to UA-camrs.. it's one of their best but I get annoyed at how some react ( like instantly thinking it's about a girl when it's so much deeper) but I also understand that they came into this clueless.. love your reactions 💜🖤
Ahahaha, I was just about to request that you react to their Introduction videos so you could get familiar with the members or at least start remembering who is who... and then you said you didn't want to see their Introduction videos and you didn't want to get to know them lol. Tbh that kinda made me a sad a little, cause they are so funny and I really think you'd enjoy them, but to each their own. Though I must be honest, remembering the members will be very difficult for you, cause the Introduction vids are what helped me with that problem.
If you would like to understand more on this mv i recommend you check out spring day theory explained because this mv was really heavy in meanings. It is written by RM about missing friends. Many have related it to the seoul fairy incident where more than 300 high school students died. ua-cam.com/video/Tye1ONFeKis/v-deo.html
HIXTAPE IS OUT! J HOPE'S MIXTAPE HOPE WORLD.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please react to DayDream (Title video) and HANGSUNG( The most turnt track ever) Please :)
I understand you dont want to react to intros since you just love their music but dont want to get to know them.but you'll always gonna have questions on why they they wrote the song or how they feel about the song.and you would alwsys ask who's who and which is which.
this is not a love song..that's the last interpretation in my opinion this is about loss, falling apart, sadness, losing someone to a tragedy its much more complicated.. there's a reason why BTS does not include girls in their videos
> Jungkook on the train; Jimin by the water + dance choreography:
In the dance practice they do of this song at the very end Jin (who we believe to be dead) reaches out to Jimin and holds his hand and then comforts him.
(Starts to follow the MV by order)
> Jungkook doesn't notice RM passing by, perhaps because RM represents Time and cannot be seen.
😲😲you just wrote a best seller😂😂💜💜💜💜
Ren Bond I was going to write this but scrolled down and found your explanation more helpful.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍words can't express my feeling now, you pinpoint all details
This song is about friendship, missing friends and the sewol ferry tragedy where kids lost their lives and due to that missing a loved one.
But you can still interpret it in many ways.
It's not about love its about friendship and missing a loved one and its not specific to just one gender they even say this themselves
Oh just a side note: RM (who wrote the song) says that it’s about missing someone .. so it’s not necessarily about a girl. There are theories about it being a tribute to a tragedy in S. Korea where lots of people lost their lives( hence the pile of clothing)
Honestly as much as I love the hype BTS songs, the deep and thoughtful ones are my favorites because as I said before it’s not restricted to the topic of “relationship love”, and it shows their ability as artists to evoke different types emotions from us as listeners
PS.
Yay! This is a very meaningful song for them in regards to missing family, friends and those that lost their lives.
I think this is important to knoe in order to understand what BTS music is about* :)
First of all, I appreciate that you like them for their music.
That‘s all that counts that YOU enjoy yourselves. Ignore obsessive fans trying to force you into something.
More calmer songs with deep lyrics are: So far away, Sea, Outro:her, tomorrow, rain, moving on, hold me tight, autumn leaves, Serendipity, first love, never mind (just to name a few of of all the masterpieces) 😄
About Spring Day, it’s not a love song, to understand the MV and lyrics it might be helpful to know that it‘s based on the movie „Snowpiercer“ (a dytopian sci fi that criticizes capitalism) and also on the book „The ones who walk away from Omelas“.
It’s tells the story of an utopical city where every citizen is ultimately happy.
But this happiness is build upon the unhappiness of one innocent child trapped beneth the city. (If you look at V and Jin when they make that box sign with their hands, that’s when they are symbolising being that trapped kid)
Despite everyone knowing,no one does something against it.
However there are some questioning if it's right that their happiness is build upon someone elses suffering. Those take the courage and leave Omelas.
If you take a look at how the mv develops you see that they are all first in motel rooms and in the train, but then they leave together.
It is exactly those leaving the city behind and walking into the unknown, that
BTS are symbolising, by getting out of the train and walking on a vast field with no roads.
- Jimin pulling shoes out of the water
- them hanging those shoes on a tree with no leaves = symbol for death and wishing the lost one peace
- the huge mountain of clothes = dead victims
and many more.
Hope I could help 💜
Namjoon’s verse could maybe signify that he’s on a constant track that keeps heading in the same direction and never ends up anywhere(Possibly unrelated but it’s said that Namjoon and Yoongi both wrote their verses themselves and this could represent their past while underground rappers or in the beginning of BTS)
It could also represent grief as this song is said to be about losing a loved one, be it a friend, lover or family member to death or even long distance.
Many say this video is about coming of age, mostly Jungkook as he is the youngest.
thank you
*I would like you to react to BTS from "I need u" (original ver./19+) to "Love yourself" ... BTS ( full story - eng sub):* ua-cam.com/play/PLANxH6iN2aQJmre1KU2jQsbfY7a8Ej2Gy.html
Pd: The videos in the playlist have subtitles, but it is mostly to understand *the dialogues* that exist in some videos and serve to understand what happens in the story.
I’m so happy rn!! Thank u!
This is my video.
Spring day is my baby 😂
❤️❤️❤️
Stop following me lmao I see you everywhere
cCcCcC. But since I was here first doesn’t that mean you are following me? 😂
Olivia Bankert Yes(?) lol You are everywhere,I see you in every comment section
cCcCcC. Hahaha that’s because I have no life and I like to comment on things
I love your reactions guys, please react to the solo songs of each bangtan member
What?!! I just discovered your reaction videos and have been binging all of them lol no more?
Soon
The song is abt missing ur friends..also tribute to sewol ferry victims in south korea where many students lost their lives
Yasss congrats, but you deserve more subscribers thooo !!! Thank you for reacting to Spring Day♥
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️❤️
Omggg I’ve been waiting for this . Thank you guys so much ! Love ❤️ 💗
Tony and Tae could you please react to " bts spring day MV Explained "
And the first one was rm ... they change their hair colour almost in every mv ... the second with the pink like sweater was suga/agust D
React to bts spine breaker mv ^^
It's about missing friends and loved ones and a tribute to the Sewol Ferry tragedy
BTW The one in the pink sweater is Suga ^^ (Agust D)
Saw your new video and never switched from one youtuber to another so fast
Sadly, jhope doesn't have main lines in this song, but he does the very first part and another one in the middle in the live version. First to rap is RM/namjoon and the guy who raps in the clothes is agust d/suga
The lyrics are not about someone in specific, it's just about someone you miss. Me, for example, I always thought of them applying more to a friendship relationship, that's what I see in this video: Jungkook searching/missing his friends. Every time I read it, It makes me miss my friends so much. but y'all can take it however you want, that's the point of this. I'm glad you guys liked it.
omg Spring Day!! t.t I love this song
RM can rap and sing. Btw, he wrote this song. :) Leader, Rapper, Singer, Dancer, Songwriter, Producer :) Yup, PURE talent.
I think someone told you guys that BTS had deep lyrics, right? This video is an example... It's full of imagery that has meanings. Please watch: BTS Spring Day MV EXPLAINED | Sewol Ferry, Snowpiercer & Survivors
(Briefly, it's about a tragedy where more than 500 high school students were drowned and the gov't tried to cover it up. The gov't even clamped down on media and entertainment so no one was allowed to even mention it. BTS managed to make this award-winning video that never even mentioned it by name.)
I wasnt able to get on you guys live😭 but Congrats on 4k 🖤 stay safe!
I think this song is about missing someone who is dead because at the end, the hanging shoes signifies that someone has died in Korean culture.
You should do their dance practices but you should really watch the music videos for Danger / Bulletproof/ No More Dream / Boy in Luv / War of Hormone
Man, you guys have missed out on so much great stuff in the last three years. Ugh!, Daechwita, ON! so much more. Hope you guys come bac,
nice reactions the meaning behind this song is really sad because it was about a train accident in korea that killed alot of students
The MV makes it look like RM is the one rapping in the beginning but its actually J-hope and then RM
react to hip hop phile - bts! 🙏
Also, this songs about friendship :) and a ferry accident where unfortunately hundreds of students passed away. Thanks for the reaction ‼💕( www.theweek.co.uk/world-news/58164/south-korea-ferry-death-toll-hits-100-salvage-begins)

Just binge watched a bunch of your videos. Nice that you're army now, lol. This is the other side of BTS. Metaphorical and full of symbolism. This song is more about someone close to you dying. And yeah, hair color changes in every video.
you guys should react to J-Hope's song Daydream
and the BTS - I Need U Dance Practice
I recommended " came back hope from (bts and stj) " for you guys
You guys should react to pretty much if you did you would seriously make my day

I’m so early it’s not even a thumbnail🤣 love you guys 😍
That's love we love you too ❤️
I think Army shouldn't request this song to UA-camrs.. it's one of their best but I get annoyed at how some react ( like instantly thinking it's about a girl when it's so much deeper) but I also understand that they came into this clueless.. love your reactions 💜🖤
Notification gang 😊😊🔥🤘
Let's goooo🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Bruh where’d u guys go? I watched ur cupher reactions and that feels like ages ago lmao
Its almost law for Army's to make reactors watch Blood Sweat and Tears lol surprised I don't see it much in comments.
If you would like to understand more on this mv i recommend you check out spring day theory explained because this mv was really heavy in meanings. It is written by RM about missing friends. Many have related it to the seoul fairy incident where more than 300 high school students died.

BTW, don't forget to do the reaction of you playing BTS in your car.
I understand you dont want to react to intros since you just love their music but dont want to get to know them.but you'll always gonna have questions on why they they wrote the song or how they feel about the song.and you would alwsys ask who's who and which is which.

this is not a love song..that's the last interpretation in my opinion
this is about loss, falling apart, sadness, losing someone to a tragedy
