Beautiful sortie. Your newbie pilot asking about clearing your six should watch this video after your tutorial video. Several clean clears, even though in one case you got dinged. Late work with so many 20 and 30mms that may not be ideal but against .303s its barely a tickle. Some other 6 clearing thoughts for the question asker, you kept good situational awareness with frequent checks of your rear. You avoided tunnel vision EXCEPT in the pass where you did get hit (a little lesson). And when you saw an enemy which maybe was moving to a threatening position you maneuvered away before he was glued on your tail. That is, winning the battle for shots on before shots on was a remote possibility. And when all else fails, the classic barrel roll into a scissors.
Thanks for the detailed analysis. On the that encounter I think the a.i. pilot trailing was there to get me to break off so his wingman would turn back on me.
@@callsignnictmere465 Could be! One of the crazy things to me is that for a game of its age, 1946 still presents some pretty tough AI! Fights are always fun.
