I really like that you put in a nice voiceover on what you are doing correctly and even show us when mistakes were made and you present it like a learning documentary . The (2) videos I liked the most when you got the big truck and the welder slipped off and got damaged and felt bad for you . Also the videos on you giving us the history about you learning how to play the Cello and playing Classical music . Thanks for sharing your World with all us from small town ( rural ) Mississippi USA !
very interesting video, I was surprised when you found that metal was so thin. Lot of force going to that ball joint, I would have thought it would have thicker too.
I don’t know your experience level but that is definitely a tight spot for that repair. Gouging looks good. The welds could be a little more uniform but overall good job. Keep up the good work.
I've gotten away from the XX10 rods and switched to 7016 for open root welding. It's a Lo-Hy rod like 7018 but has flux that will cover the back of the puddle.
Good repair in a difficult location. I loved the incandescent 3/32 rod. You KNOW the flux was dry on that one! Curious if you painted the weld repair before you wrapped up?
I don’t recommend using a 225. You could do a little bit of gouge work but chances are you’ll wined up burning up your machine. Don’t use a rod bigger than 5/32” and don’t gouge longer than 10 mins at a time.
Not good to use a bobcat, have used a Hobart champion 16 to carbon arc with 3/16 rods and it messed up the machine. It popped the bridge rectifier and a capacitor. They are both very similar machines.
It looks like the crack is perhaps a result of swiveling the blade when it was under too much load. Perhaps it will last for quite a long time if they swivel and tilt it under less load. Once the cracking starts - well you know where I'm going LOL...
I have done the same thing before Ethan and its definitely a surprise good job making it work out. I am not a big fan of gouging either much rather use torches but sometimes you dont have much of a choice. Great video again and keepem coming buddy

I do. I’ve got a LN-25 I use it some it’s a good wire feeder. I’ve learned if you’re not welding for more than four hours it isn’t worth pull it out. With dual shield it isn’t that much faster than stick and the time to take it out and set it up and take it down it’s a lot more than stick.
@@OFW Dual shield is a faster process I just don’t have a fast set up on my truck. Just been my experience takes longer to pull it out then it would be for me to do it with stick. Thanks for the comment I enjoy your content as well.

Nothing wrong pushing the puddle. As you know you should learn to weld both directions. Nice job thanks for sharing 👍
Nice repair. Gouging & 7018's are probably the processes that I enjoy watching most. Thanks

Nice to see you again, great work in the field as always!! Thank you for the time and stay safe out there.
There is an update to fix that by adding 3 gusset plates at 10, 12, and 2 positions see Special Instruction REHS8557.
I really enjoy watching you weld big stuff That was funny when the little rod burnt up like a wooden match stick lol
Yes sir I thought it was to good not to leave it in there. Thanks for watching.
There is an update to install three braces on that blade, very common to crack there.

I always love your videos, best wishes from Orlando, Florida, Paul...when are we going to see some Viola????
I’m planning on my next video talking about how and why I started playing the cello in my experience I’ve got a few clips of playing as well.

I did not paint it. Would have didn’t have any cat yellow lol.
Glad to see u again man. Awesome videos dude
Operator must of thought he was running a D11 😂
Andrew Camarata did a similar job with his dozer some time ago
Hey, I have that same Comeaux hat, and one that is same pattern in yellow and black, Bob Moffatt gave it to me last month.....
Good job, was really relaxing to watch
Get a carbine bit on a die grinder to hit the gouge marks that's what we do
Do you think a Miller bobcat 225 will work for the carbon arc. I just work on my own farm equipment, bush hogs and such.

@@EEJester1586 ok thanks, I will just buy the hypertherm 45 it has a gouge mode on it.

there is a channel named c & c equipment. contact him and im sure he can answer any question you have about dozers.
I prefer robust welds for heavy equipment every time. It’s no place for the faint of heart.

3/32 will do just great 👍
I know ander Camerata had the same issue on his older d4c
Was that 6N made in France?
👌🤘🤘
Great Video 👍👍

God bless good job

Understandable and there's a lot more problems that could arise wether it's gas or feeding problems
I hope you didn't charge for that
Sure didn’t in fact I paid the owner for the practice.
NO spray paint to protect the welds come on get sloppy there where your profession
Carbon arc sucks in that situation no room for globs of molten metal to go but right back in ur face
