On my nanopi r6s, the cpu core 3 gets pinned at 98%, my loaded ping increases and my bandwidth decreases slightly. My line coming in is 930/110. Am I doing something wrong?
@Van Tech Corner have you checked out lynxthecat cake-autorate it seems to be a bit more consistent at managing the variable ping spikes~ for some variable networks that dont want to follow their own FCC guidelines (alot of internet companies tend to do this making it difficult to actually manage the buffer)
Hey, to be honest, I didn't use SQM QoS alot because I am the only one who use most of the bandwidth. Are you talking about github.com/lynxthecat/cake-autorate
Hi @VanTechCorner I would like to use Nanopi R6S as my main router and my Asus RT-AC86U as my AP. I'm based in Malaysia and I'm using TM Unifi. TM Unifi use VLAN 500 for Internet and VLAN 600 for Hypptv. Since Nanopi R6S has 1 WAN Port and 2 LAN Ports, Can I do the following: WAN Port = VLAN 500 LAN Port Number 1 = Connect to AP for WiFi and LAN to PC (Internet Connectivity) LAN Port Number 2 = VLAN 600 and connect with Hypptv Is this possible? Hope you can help. Thank you.
"If you restart or change settings with SQM, it will reset the CPU affinity and you will need to re-apply settings" Can you confirm if this is still an ongoing problem with the R4S when SQM is enabled?
@@VanTechCorner Thanks for that information, Do you still recommend the R4S in 2024? I have a 500/70 connection and wanting to install openwrt for SQM only, What storage do I need on the SD? What power supply do you recommend? Also is it straight forward to install Openwrt on the device? Thank you, really appreciate the help
@@VanTechCorner I mentioned nothing like that. The best way is to download popular torrent like Ubuntu image. There are hundreds of seeds all over the world with a wide range of latencies and TCP implementations like qubic, reno, bbr and such. LAN testing does not overfill buffer of the switch so there is no congestion despite saturated bandwidth.
youre the only guy doing so good on openwrt device testing and stuff, keep it up man!
Thank you. Glad you like it :)
The in depth testing is ♨️♨️♨️ thank you !
You're so welcome!

Good video ! Well done!
Thank you Jasson!
Cam on!
You're welcome ^^

Does the R6S come with Openwrt installed?
Nope, it is FriendlyWrt, a fork of OpenWrt developed by FriendlyElec team. You can install OpenWrt if you wish.

Can Nanopi r6s play? wifi like wifi router?
My comment was deleted. There was no congestion for CAKE to handle. Make at lest 500 flows. Set 1 ms latency target in advanced settings.
Don't put any link or IP address, or you comment will be automatically deleted by UA-cam filtering.
Regarding your comment, how to make 500 flows?

Yes, you are right. But my Internet plan is only ~ 300 Mbps (and this throught is too small for the R6S).
tidur2 bro
Haha okay bro. I didn't aware that the video is recorded during midnight :D
