this has probably been the most educational youtube video i’ve ever watched, and i have an engineering degree so that’s saying something 😅 thank you tons!!!
Thank goodness I found your video. I tried my first Italian cast on today - got the hang of it quickly and then went to join in the round and nearly went mad trying to understand how to untwist the stitches! Thank you.
Wow! I have never been able to figure out how to deal with the mess of twisted stitches. Your video is very clear and concise. Thanks so much for this great tutorial!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I am working on a sweater with a tubular cast on for the first time and after casting on four times without any success, I had just decided to move on to my regular cast on but this tutorial is just what I needed. This is a tubular cast on lifesaver!!!
Patty you are the BEST!!! OMG. I cannot express how grateful I am to have this bit of knitting wisdom! I do have one question…I thought that in the first row of the double knitting, one is supposed to knit the knits through the back loop. Do you not find that necessary? Thanks a million gaZILLLLLLION for this tutorial!
Patty, that scrap yarn idea is FANTASTIC! You’re amazing , thank you ❤
I have ripped out my tubular CO FIVE times! I was about to give up and just do long tail, then I found THIS. Thanks so much!!!!

A life saver. Thank you. I remember casting on 180 sts with Italian Tubular CO - twice, three times, then gave up. If only I had seen your video then.

If you knit the knits through the back loop you will twist the stitch.
Amazing! Thanks so much - you’re a genius! 🥰
