    I would like to see Garrett do some CNC/Epoxy projects. I have just started looking into some epoxy inlays to use along with my CNC. Excellent timing.

    It was a good basic intro. I'd look forward to a "Garret" dive into it as you always seem to find niche data not included on websites or vendor videos!

    I understand you have to pour in a certain temperature range - I've been waiting to get to know how my new shop navigates its way through winter now that it is fully insulated. Too cold = no dice. Great intro video!!! 👊

      LYTOMIZE_Woodshop, I definitely see how the temp in your shop could be a concern without insulation. Great point brother and absolutely something to consider!

    Great video interview. Where can I get information about preventing epoxy from bleeding into the edges V carve letters?

      marklasby, before applying epoxy, try to seal the carved letters and the surrounding wood surface. You can use a clear wood sealer, shellac, or a thin layer of the same epoxy you'll be filling the letters with. This creates a barrier that prevents the epoxy from seeping into the wood's pores! Hope it helps brother!

    Nice . One thing , should I mix the pigment color into part A then mix part A with part B ? Or I can mix part A into part B then add color pigment?
    Thanks god bless

    Should you seal the wood prior to using epoxy?

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 місяці тому +1

      cire411, that would be a great idea brother! It would be very important if you are using an epoxy with a dye colorant.

    So one thing that always confuses me/I feel like they are not using a good measurement. The pour depth part of this. So we see people making things like a river table then cnc projects. So I know some of that is the heat generated by the expoxy. So 1/4in, thats not equal if your pouring a .25 deep by .25 wide hole vs .25 deep 12 inchs across. Not like being negitive to Total Boat or any of the epoxy companies. Just seems like that should more be a total volume limit, like say 2 cups max vs just depth in my brain.

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 місяці тому

      drewpickard554, good point my friend! Keeping the epoxy cool is a critical factor to ensuring your project turns out exactly how you want it to.

      Total boat has an epoxy calculator on their website and that may help you to determine what product you’re using and the depth that you should pour and the hours between four times I’m just learning so I hope this helps
