Thinking about how Sonic was "tortured for months" raises some interesting questions about how nothing about him is different in the slightest. either he is somehow repressing all of that and he has some extreme emotional baggage, or he is somehow completely unaffected by it. if it's the latter, that actually kind of terrifying.
Yea when I first heard that I was like "Huh🤨🤨". He doesn't seem to be acting like someone tortured for months. If I remember correct Jak from Jak and Dexter was tortured for a while. And the first thing he ever actually says is "I'm going to kill Praxus".
