For years, I was puzzled at how Synchro Summon is connected to particles in the 5D's anime. And then, when I heard about the word "Synchrotron", I realized the connection and understand its meaning. Synchro Monsters and Synchro Summons are based on at least two things, a synchrotron (a type of particle accelerator), and a type of element transmutation, specifically bombarding of particles on an element to change it into another element. The reason why Synchro Summon involves the Tuner turning into rings is because of the synchrotron. Synchro Summon rings are heavily based on synchrotron rings. For an analogy, an alpha particle is basically identical to a Helium atom (2 protons). Should an alpha particle bombard an isotope of aluminum (13 protons), the result would be an isotope of phosphorous (2 + 13 = 15). Synchro Summon is basically the same, with the Tuner (Junk Synchron = Level 3) being the particle that bombards the non-Tuner (Junk Warrior = Level 5) to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster, eg. Stardust Dragon (3 + 5 = 8)

well technically synchro summoning pioneered the popularity of summon chant in yuhioh. summon chant was already there way before synchro summon exist but because summon chant bring badass factor to the mix it became part of yugioh tradition even outside of synchro summon.
Synchro Summons solidified the summon chant concept. When Aki began reciting, the audience & 5D’s were in awe before Stardust Dragon hit the Duel Disk. Summon chants became defacto a summoning requirement for some monsters, especially since you can make multiple monsters with the exact same materials.
Gongezaka is hands down one of the most underrated YuGiOh characters. Seriously, between him, Go and Gakuto, people always sleep on the Tristan tertiary male character leads
I love that his cards just attack in defense position so even if there destroyed you still won't take damage unless it's piercing. But there best boss monster had got to be Superheavy samurai soul train
It's primary because those characters are just fodder. I was hoping they'd do something interesting and dynamic with gongenzaka what with their presentation as a trio, but ultimately he is so inconsequential compared to Yuya and Yuzu.
He's one of many examples of Arc V having an excellent cast that wasn't done justice in terms of attention received, imo, although I suppose every Yugioh show has an example of that. I love Gogenzaka's relationship with Yuya, his hammy personality, and his phenomenal play style. The man is truly a gem.
Black Rose Dragon and Stardust Dragon are my favourite Synchro monsters used by two of my favourite 5DS characters. Could you please do 25 cool XYZ summons?

I've been most invested in Yugioh competitively during the Synchro Era. It was by far my favorite and Synchro is to this day still my favorite summoning method. Be it irl, in 5ds or even Arc V, it was always so much fun. So I was looking forward to this video since the fusion one. Love all the selections here. Most of my favorites are probably from Yusei. Especially Stardust, Shooting Star, Quasar etc.
Shooting Quasar Dragon will always be my favorite synchro summon. I think he’s my favorite monster overall as well. I never got into Arc-V but it makes me happy they used a similar animation for the synchro summon. Not sure what Vrains was going for but it’s… messy.
I like synchro summon because its the mechanic that requires the most skill to perform ( talking about endboards with Quasar and crystal wing+2 negates)
I'd say it's probably rituals that is the hardest to play skillfully (if skillfully means in a way where you can win constantly without using very broken cards)
Antinomy summoning T.g Halberd Cannon is by far the best synchro in all of ygo. In that scene alone he broke the speed of light to push Yusei out of the even horizon of a black hole, made a sun like star go supernova with just his own ener-D to delta accel synchro tg halberd cannon. Taught Yusei how to delta accel synchro and his ace is the only "enemy" boss monster Yusei could not defeat.
Borrelload Savage Dragon is my favourite Synchro monster. Revolvers deck was the first deck I brought to my locals in Newport and summoned it just like Revolver from the chant to the Topologic Trisbeana theme playing. Everyone loved it.
Junk Warrior in the 1st episode of 5ds will always be an iconic one. Cause even though Stardust is his ace, it had been Junk Warrior from the beginning to the final episode when Yusei beat Jack Atlas with it.
I know this might be better served in a "what makes a duel special" episode, but the first summon of Shooting Star Dragon set to Clear Mind was, and still is, the pinnacle of epic synchro summons.

…..hooooolyyyyy shit bro👀👀
When he does coolest xyz summons, he has to put odd eyes raging dragon summon against ruri and Serena. That moment still gives me chills.
Synchro always had the best summons. But aki yusie and jack are the greatest with black rose dragon coming with pedals. Stardust dragon dust is so cool regardless and jack pounding his chest is just amazing.
MY BURNING SOUL… RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND!!!!
The final time Yusei summoned Junk Warrior was the most amazing summon imo
Fun video. Got some good ones to represent my favorite method of summoning
7:03 I always loved Yuya's reaction to Gon summoning his best monster 😂😂
Yugioh greatness
When Yusei fulfilled the Original Opening and Synchro Summoned Junk Warrior to defeat Red Demons Dragon. It's the reason why Red Daemon's Dragon looks Scarred like that.
Yeah that was a nice foreshadowing.
When did RDD look scared??
@@nicolasrey8773 It looks like it still has it's Scars from that Final Duel.
@@AKUNJIG oh, you meant "Scarred". Yeah that's a nice reference
He should have added Odd Eyes Wing Dragon to that list.
