Hi guys! I realized that Galaxy Eyes and Darkness Neosphere technically are special summons and not tribute summons. Even though they have summon requirements that require you to tribute monsters, I think they’re actually special summons. So I apologize for that! I don’t think there’s any others like that, but by the time I realized the video was 95% done I hope you all still enjoy, and thanks for taking the time to enjoy the content!
@@christopherb501 it could but I’m quite sure kite always summoned it through it special summon effect - he’d usually special summon photon thrasher then normal summon phone crusher then special summon galaxy eyes by tributing both of them
Yeah you accidentally slipped in four special summons, but I am more surprised that not a single Earthbound Immortal made the list. Don’t get me wrong, having played Reverse of Arcadia a lot has me really appreciate Strong Wind Dragon, but that is not the monster that comes to mind when I think tribute summons in 5ds. Still, great list and always happy to see content from you.
I can think of 3 more awesome tribute summons: 1. Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu (Kalin vs Yusei first duel) 2. Obelisk (Yugi vs Kaiba, during Battle City semifinals) 3. Osiris (Yugi vs Kaiba, during Battle City semifinals)
@@AlmightyKevo as a joey ace, most likely konamw will not, even tho red eyes was one of the 3 legend monsters of all 7/8 yugiohs, he still gote one of the weakest decks of all strong monsters
Konami used most of joey's weakest cards to make the red eyes arcktype, so how strong red eyes will be if tgwy used his strongest, like gilford and jinzo
I could be wrong, but I think Field Spells appeared a lot in the anime. Wether it is in DM, all the way to Go Rush. I feel like the change of scenery was always a nice touch, I think The Seal of Orichalcos or Skyscraper would be the best ones.
They used a lot in 5ds. Not just the turbo duels, but also because of the Earthbound Immortals. There was also Akiza’s Black Garden and Aporia used a meklord one, among others
The mechanic that has been with us since the start and continues to get love and support despite being inferior to the extra deck. A part of me still enjoys performing one because it feels like such a build up to do compared to the usual fast paced extra deck summon. I’m not thinking “how much can I do this turn?” I’m thinking “how can I make sure I can do this one or two turns from now?” While I prefer to play Ritual or Synchro decks, there’s just something always familiar and welcoming about performing a tribute summon. Like visiting your parents or grandparents. Granted I’ve been a fan of the franchise since it came to the states, so I’ve been tribute summoning since I was in grade school and thus have nostalgia for it.
It *is* funny that there's been a solid number of archetypes that revolved around tribute summons that saw actual competitive meta relevance. Monarchs, True Dracos, and even as recently as Floowandereeze. Normal summoning has turned into an incredibly strong mechanic that dodges a lot of effects, so decks that force extra ones turn out rather well
Old School style of Tribute Summoning is so awesome! My favorite tribute summons are: Blue Eyes, Dark Magician, Arcana Force XXI: The World (ZA WARUDO), Sevens Road Magician, The Three Egyptian Gods, and Galactica Oblivion
Dylan, did you know that in Yugioh Zexal's 2nd Opening "Braving", there's a glimpse of Yuma facing off Quinton/V but we never get the chance to see those two duel in the anime. It was damn shame. Quinton/V was the only member of the Arclight Family who didn't even duel Yuma right before the Duel Carnival arc began.
I think Yuma would have lost that duel, which is why it didn't happen. Neither 39 nor C39 is a match for Dyson Sphere; Yuma would need to go ZEXAL and draw Unicorn Spear to have a chance.
One i really like is Kiryu (Kalin) finally losing Hundred Eyes Dragon only to flip a trap that summoned 2 tokens on end phase and then Tribute Summoned Earthbound Immortal Ccpac Apu
One of my favorite tribute summons is when Marik shows for first time Osiris vs Yugi, and he says: "It's not a monster is a god". Years after Kaiba says the same against Aigami. 😎
I was just talking to a friend about how exciting some of the summons can be. I already showed her the Xyz summons video, so I know she'll love this one!
When Yugi Summoned Slifer against Yami Bakura, and the music kicked in, I thought I was about to see Exodia! I've seen way to many Exodia Meme videos! LOL

While the summons of some cards like Galaxy Eyes and Lava Golem need to tribute monsters, they are special summons, not tribute summons, but it is still cool to have them here though.
In regards to Lava Golem. No its not. It's a "Sacrifice Summon". This scene is adapting the manga, which came first. The anime and card game came after. The card game changed card effects from the source material manga. Malik's dialogue is 1:1 copy with the manga, aside from the TCG terms in the subs. Lava Golems manga effect in original Japanese states: This card is summoned to the opponents field by sacrificing 2 of their monsters. Each turn, that player takes 700 damage. In Takahashi's original rules, that is a Sacrifice Summon.
I feel like it'd be cool to do the 25 coolest summons of each season, sure there may be some repeats here & there but there are some seasons that really do go above & beyond w/ certain summons like Number 99 which is a personal fav of mine

Jinzo is still one of the most feared cards out there: Dark, versatile, only 1 tribute to summon and of course the death lazor all those nasty traps fear the most! 💫🤖

Lava Golem is a "Sacrifice Summon". This scene is adapting the manga, which came first. The anime and card game came after. The card game changed card effects from the source material manga. Malik's dialogue is a 1:1 copy with the manga, aside from the TCG terms in the subs.
Lava Golems manga effect in original Japanese states: This card is summoned to the opponents field by sacrificing 2 of their monsters. Each turn, that player takes 700 damage.
In Takahashi's original rules, that is a Sacrifice Summon.
Not a single Earthbound Inmortal . I don't understand why when they are so cool and terrifying
Maybe 25 awesome monster debuts so you can put in Dark Magician Girl?
raviel, lava golem, galax-eyes photon dragon and darknes neosphere are especial summons
I also got the earthbound immortals and rainbow dragon in my personal list
Kite summons the number cards to flex them
8:23 Excuse me, what is Judai saying!? I barely watched JP GX because I was always more of the german dub-guy outside of Season 0, but this strikes me more as something that would be a Jaden-exclusive line.
I think KENNJaden’s voice actor was a little to excited here plus it is Neos first summon
Lava Golem was also a special summon as well
Galaxy-Eyes Photn Dragon's roar sounds just like that of some Pokemon who can only do it.
3:09 ZAAA WARUDOOOO
3:07 Isn't that a Jojo reference?
My two favorite tribute summons are Yami yugi's Slyfer vs Yami Bakura and Joey's Gilford vs Yami Marik
Arcana force the world just soundes like dio. LOL.
Red Eyes Black Dragon against Rex in Season 4 is probably mine
Also Serenity summoning Marie the Fallen One
Those summons were awesome. It's too bad that the subtitles were off.
25 awesome special summons
If that video doesn't contain the time Kaiba forced the egyptian gods onto Yami's field, then idk what is going on.
Surprised that none of the Earthbound Immortals from Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds made an appearance.
The fact yugi adds monster first before summoning🤣
Kaiba summoning obelisk vs Yugi should've been on this list.
Man I wish they did more with cracking dragon
How about the best player fuses with/becomes their monsters video? Like Marik and Ra or Joey with Lord of the Red etc.
The summon of Galaxy Eyes was a Special summon, he said it.
Yeah😍❤
Ishizu tho 😍😍😍
Expected you to show BMG's debut. You did not do that. Kaiba summoning Obelisk in TDoD is the coolest summon.
