Pinterest is possibly the number one marketing strategy for photographers these days. Inside this video I'll show you how to create pins that get tons of repins, how to create a content strategy for pinterest that actually works, and how to use pinterest seo to ensure your pins have a chance of ranking and showing up on the pinterest discovery feed. Thanks for this! I was stymied about how to use Pinterest effectively for my photography (though I love it for inspiration). You linked blog to driving web traffic to helping people to sales in a way I definitely wasn’t doing or understanding... mind blown. I wasn’t even done watching the video before I was seeing how to use this for my business and was pacing, drawing, writing how I would use it.

That's great to hear Cameron! Yes its an incredible platform for photographers but sometimes you need someone to show you how to make it work to see the potential. UA-cam is an interesting concept... I cover it in my video marketing for photogs course, but potentially I'll do a free vid one of these days!

Man, I wish I had seen this before. Photography was and will always be just a hobby for me, but I've could grow a lot if besides my Instagram I had a Pinterest strategy like this.

I've been watching your channel for a while no and I must say that it helped me a lot. Marketing wise i'm a mess so this helpful tips do mak a huuge difference for me. Thank you for all of youyr work. I will be watching this video again and try to apply it in my business. I find myself in a spot in my career where i did worked a ot but with incremental changes to my pricing and did not find the time to really invest in me and I thing marketing strategies is my biggest draw back. So, you make all these captions for your Pinterest posts, but then don't you actually have to write content to go with those captions???? What if you don't write a lot of content? How can you take advantage pf Pinterest then?

Hi this video is great, and definitely want to do this in the future however im currently trying to make my page looks nice with my photos. Do you know how I can add the photos individually on my create page. could you do a very simple video on it, as I think it probably is but cant seem to find the way, only the create idea pin works and that shows up like a carousel option only. thank you thank you in advance.

So helpful! Maybe I missed it but where does a link like this leads to? I have Instagram and TikTok as my target page. But I also know the method where you just upload a tt for example and upload the tt link as well. I could imagine your way is good for you tube maybe?

Soooooo are you honestly suggesting to people to use photos that are not yours and you didn’t take in order to promote your wedding photography? And then putting your name on it to make it as if it was yours….

Hey Jeff! This video is from years ago so I honestly can't remember exactly what's inside, however I don't remember saying I ever suggested taking credit for photos that weren't yours... BUT just in case, let me clarify now I 100% agree with you!
@@SignatureEdits that's good. Inside the video you basically spend a good amount of time talking about going and just finding random photos on the internet to use and add them to your pinterest design and them upload them. As a photographer that is a big no no (well really a no no to do it for anything without giving credit). But the perception will be that you are putting that forth and people will imply that it's something you photographed.
glad you clarified but it is a big section of the video. (It may be different if you are sourcing from a vendor that gave you permission but even then it's likely someone else's photography that supplied it to them so still not good. Always best for it to be something you photographed yourself. Again, as a photographer business anyway)
This was my first thought too. Seems really unethical in my opinion. The rest of the video was great though.
I dont suggest Pinterest for photographers unless all you shoot are images of flowers or weddings. If you are shooting edgy fashion photography (hair, MUA, fashion) that shows any nudity, partial nudity, clothed but too sexy, goth or dark styling, you run a very real risk of violating their Community Standards. There are people whose long time accounts were deactivated because images they had pinned from VOGUE violated community decency standard. (not a copyright violation, not spam but decency). Even if you have your Paolo Roversi or Helmut newton image in a secret board you can be tossed. So IF you want to use Pinterest, have a 2nd account & limit your photos to boring images you'd see at a photo studio in a local mall.
Appreciate the perspective! Although in this case I’d have a slightly different take: 1 - ANY social platform is going to be a risk if you’re posting nudes, semi nudes, graphic content etc… So I wouldn’t say pinterest is any moreso than others…
That said, it IS important to recognize what users of different platforms are looking for. Pinterest is about inspiration & DIY. So inspiration for your next photoshoot, outfit inspo, tutorials etc will do well, whereas portfolio images probably not so much.
I personally have NEVER received a single inquiry from pinterest… BUT it has brought a lot of traffic to my site, and raised the SEO quite a bit.

TBH Polani I actually just use the desktop version as I find it a lot more efficient to work with. But if you figure it out definitely let me know!
