- Today I will show you how I released the birds into the new finch breeding cages of the (not yet finished) bird gallery/ bird room. First the owl finches, next to the star finches and last the lady Gouldian finches with their chicks. Soon I will show you how I made these breeding cages. Subscribe and click that bell icon so you don’t miss it. They will stay here during the winter. If it is nice and warm again they can enjoy the aviary again.

Mr. Aviary is making me fall in love with him 😍😍😍
The birds really seem to be loving their space. Very nice set up.
Thanks
Love the fun facts.
Thanks, more will come
Wonderful 🐦 cage

@@MrAviary Will do ;)
I had a 37 year old lutino cockatiel. He passed away in 2015. I was 39 years old when he passed. He, likely, was the oldest cockatiel ever, but I did not have a birth record for him because he flew to my home as a cage escapee when I was very little.
That's indeed very old. What's your secret?
@@MrAviary I kept him happy with plenty of engagement of making him a part of the family, not just a pet that I owned. His surroundings stayed the same, his routine was the same, but he also traveled with us at times so his scenery would occasionally change. He flew free in the house. He ate the same food his entire life. HARTZ 8 in 1. He also ate buttermilk biscuits, lettuce, clover pulled from the fields, cabbage, saltine crackers, and he absolutely hated bananas! He also hated anything that would accidentally fly into his house, whether it be a butterfly or another insect. A mouse got into his house at night once and the next morning we found piles of mouse fur and a dead mouse nearby. He killed it. My cat jumped onto the back of the couch one time and grabbed him by the head, had his entire head in her mouth, and he bit a hole through her tongue. She immediately threw him out of her mouth. He was uninjured and simply pissed off. From then on she would not even look his way. He loved grocery store paper bags and liked to pretend they were a cave and he would defend them from anyone and anything. I miss that bird all of the time. He was there for me throughout most of my life. RIP Jasper. Named after Casper the friendly ghost, except I changed the C to a J.
He could talk as well. I forgot to mention that. He said all sorts of things.
Ckup leluasa utk trnak bbrp burung kcil.
Amazing
Thanks
Please keep making more videos in series.i am a bird lover too.
I will stay tuned.
I had to laugh when you said you have 6 feeders but they all like to eat out of the one feeder! I put a small bowl of food on one side and there's a much bigger seed container on the other side, but they both love to eat out of the small bowl! There's plenty of food in the big one, but they don't go there at all!
Very nice indoor setup and collection of finches. I used to have different breeds of finches and with my experience, they do well as separate species when you're going to breed them especially with combined space. Good luck and hope that you'll be successful breeding them.
Thanks, I will seperate them during the breeding season. Keep up the good work of giving tips
Lovely video
Thanks
The Landscaper - Lovely guy. It reminds me of myself. I had to give up this hobby because of school. I just kept my African gray , my two dogs and my cat lol .
Beautiful work🙂 if I had some I'd use one cage per pair of goldfinches
Thanks
Cool video. How cold can it get before quail have a problem? I’m starting quail this spring.
I always move them inside before it gets below 0 C or 32 F. It depends a little bit, if you keep them outside until that temperature they do need to be out of the wind and rain.
And they need to be in good conditions. Hope you enjoy your quails.
How did you catch your birds in aviary? Super cool aviary, by the way.
It was a bit off a struggle but their are relatively tame so easier to catch.
My gouldians laid six eggs they've been sitting for past two days but this morning I see a Broken egg on the floor, why are they throwing the eggs out ?
Can you tell me a little more about the situation? Are their other birds in the same cage? How big is the cage? At what temp are they at the moment?
Hey I have my gouldian's inside the house my temperature set to 65 degree Fahrenheit, my one pair start laying eggs you think can they hatch and survive in 65 degree temperature ? I cannot afford to put the temperature over 70 degrees and here where I live temperatures is 30 degrees outside
Yes, 65 degree temperature is too the low side but if your birds are in good conditions it should not be a problem. Be aware that egg binding does not occur. The chance of egg binding is higher at lower temperatures. If it does occures seperate the bird and put it somewhere warm.
I have all my gouldians in an outside aviary and it gets to mid 30's at night here in Sothern California and they are doing just fine. Just make sure that they are not exposed to direct wind and draft and provide them with a barrier to roost at night. I have not used any heater of any sort either.
@@MrAviary other than that hatching the eggs and survival of the babies not a problem with the 65 degree temperature right ? Thank you
Alex Castillo - send me a pair of Gouldians .

Can you send me a pair with a breeding cage please reply
Sorry I cannot, however I will soon post a video how I made this breeding cage. You can build one yourself
