Just had one of these delivered today. So impressed by the quality at this price point. Took out three links and fits perfectly. The milled clasp just makes me wonder why Seiko can't match this on watches costing 3 times the price.
@@BensWatchClub dude did you see filippo loretti released a line of rather nice looking divers? they are about $220, use the NH35 and have sapphire coated glass. They seem to have ditched the minimalist aliexpress specials in favour of homages
Honestly looks really impressive for the price point. Especially if you get the discount price. Might just have to grab one to review and compare against the other similar watches at the same price. Great work with the review as always 👍
I've had the green and black versions of these watches, I love the green on a green silicone strap... It's in my top five favourite watched only getting beaten by my G-Shock MTG and Christopher Ward.
When the video started, I almost expected that you have had a visit from Hugo Mountbatten, you may have had done but you just missed him ;-), check to see if he has 'borrowed' any timepieces from you. D Good to see to putting out a video.
Apparently they ship to the US,I’m unsure if this has always been the case but I’ll be uploading my review in a few days and I look forward to seeing it in person, and seeing how it stacks up to some other watches that I’ve reviewed
Long time no seen Ben Arthur?? What happened to the hair bro did the battle with hair loss come to its end or you just chose to shave it & not worry about it.
please make a review about a watch like this, but quartz, homage, but good quality. I have seen some in Aliexp, Dita, WWOOR, Addiesdive, etc, love the channel.
Excellent intro!👍👍 Ok watch. Depth Charge is a great name. However using an NH35 with it's ghost date is just laziness. Particularly with the bumped up price, they should have used the dateless NH38. Ghost dates should be unacceptable at this higher price for any microbrand. Truth is, you can get better Ali Express watches with NH35 movements and a ghost date for less than the original lower price of this.
I'm not into aliexpress platform. Can you buy from there a stainless steel diver's watch with sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, screwed crown, 20bar water resistance, automatic seiko movement and the date complication for less than this one? If you know of any please let me know. I was interested buying this one but I hate the fact it has no date complication. Totally agree with you.
@@DeadtotheWorld91 I have many dive watches Freddie as I am a diver. I did have the older DB106611BKBE version, a very good watch and safe for deep diving ... again with NH35 and ghost date, but it was a lot cheaper. My comment is not about the quality of the watch, it's very good, but my point is it is too pricey for a run of the mill movement. You can get high quality NH35 dive watches cheaper. A no date NH38 might just about warrant the additional price, but they kept with the same one and charge more. It takes it outside of the good value zone for me. I have 11 dive watches I use regularly including Seiko, Orient, Phoibis, the older Depth Charge, Heimdallr, Steeldive, Squale etc. A lot of good quality NH35 divers, and better priced.
@@nickthegreekpandazis6725 Nick, sorry just saw your post. Check out Steeldive SD1975 Tuna, it's one of my favourites for taking diving, have done multiple dives with it, 30bar, sapphire, lume like a torch, kid you not, ceramic fully lumed and equally long lasting lume as the dial. Though no guarantee but mine is +5 spd, NH35A, with date. Short lug to lug but with a great presence on the wrist. If you dive you probably know, down at 40m it's already getting pretty dark, so if you have one of these as your dive computer backup won't let you down. Another good option Heimdallr Monster with NH36A, day/date, 200m, bright lume but steel bezel.
Yeah. I could do without a date function, I haven't set a date on one of 40ish watches in years. A Cestrian review brought me here. But I'm looking for an Orange dial automatic diver. Great review.
Ben, I have come to really enjoy your videos and have purchased an Orient Helios and will be purchasing a Bambino as a result. I wanted to get your thoughts on Reef Tiger. @ Dan T, I totally agree with you… I came across this micro watch brand Jack Turner and they have a pretty unique dive watch called the Tsunami. I haven’t seen a dive watch look like this so it’s good to finally see someone doing something different with a diver watch

You should do a UK buyers guide. Maybe highlight some of the best places to buy watches here. You seem to be an Amazon UK specialist but rarely buy there for example 🤔
oem factories in china make these generic submariner, you can find a hundred brands of the same watch online. Obviously all are good quality for the price because they are produced in such large quantities.
If anyone is looking to buy this now and is using the video for a decision. I just got mine in black. The watch is kind of insane for the price - 100% punching above it’s weight. Bracelet is crap though, def stick it on a rubber strap or nato
Unsure about the spec list on the dial - fine with the stylised and red coloured 'Automatic' text, but 'sapphire glass' and to an extent the WR rating seem superfluous. Was just fiddling with my Lyle & Scott last night changing the strap, is going to get a run out at some point this week I feel!
Ever heard of the Certus 611160 ? It's a automatic watch of which i can't seem to find any info about. I bought it at our local jeweler for about €189,-/£161,95
For me in the US, it offers free shipping and no tax, so $185. It's too expensive. $201 gets me a better San Martin. This level, I can get an aliexpress submariner for $100 less! The name is good but not worth extra money.

Another excellent video, Good Quality and Price is very reasonable PX3169X1 Pulsar seems to offer very good value.. Maybe n the Future you could review a few..
It’s a properly built rolex sub homage. The differences are the logo the 12 o’clock marker and different under the pinion writing and polished center link…
Also the hands, this not being a sunburst dial, the bezel layout, the lume pip, the minute track in relation to the markers; and not only is the text at 6 different, but the rolex's 4 lines, no colour, is markedly different from the 3 lines, with color, here. So, I'd say we're casting our net pretty wide if we wanna say this is just another rolex homage.
Yeah, don't get it really, he'll find a Citizen Pro-Diver lacking, with unique IP and higher QC, yet find a generic Ali mushroom watch, outstanding. The specs are decent, but almost every mid-tier Ali watch has sapphire, ceramic and solid end links.
Possibly “I Like Watches” as Gary has a working relationship with the factory that make San Martin and they told him it’s just San Martin with no accent, and Gary’s pronounced it differently since. Odd name for a Chinese watch though (but good quality, I hear).
I like the watch but the crown tube is not long enough and even screwed in properly it leaked in the pool, when pressure tested the stream of bubbles indicated the crown... Would be a nice "diver" if they didn't fuck up with the length of the crown tube and only few threads
@@oakbushcraft i think thats just the design of the watch, crap short crown tube, it screws in alright, but its dead short, nothing like a proper diver
Huh, thats interesting. Im probably completly wrong about this, but i thought that the threads only provide clamping force (and therefore sealing) against an o-ring. I didnt think the thread length mattered because the threads are not what seals?
Meh, not a fan of the name, or cheesy space-hogging logo. To me it looks like subpar Ali-special, with a low effort branding job. The specs are generous for the price, but I'd much rather spend that money on an Orient Ray or Kamasu.
