As someone who uses the Dragonite Deck, it’s fairly powerful. Just gotta stall enough time to get Dragonite and he basically wins you the match with two attacks if not less. Any stall method like Weezing + Koga or even just using Snorlax gives plenty of time.
Coin flipping is still definitely a thing in the TCG but the strongest decks don't really use them, top decks require good strategy more than luck I think. One of the best decks out there rn is Regidrago V Star and that deck plays in a really fun unique way that requires a decent amount of thought to play to its top efficacy

Trading will be restricted to everything but the currently promoted set. The new set comes out in Jan which is the same time trading is released. I also think they will only let you trade up to Diamond 4 rarity, anything gold I am willing to be will be untradeable. So full arts, ex variants, rainbow arts, immersive and crown will all be untradeable as none of them are needed to play the game they are just for flexing.
It’s funny seeing both of them argue about which deck is better between the number 1 and 2 deck in the game. Also I think the Mewtwo ex deck is considered the best right now by a little bit.
@@travisbarke8416 not really. If the event Mankey gets to attack first it’ll KO a starting Pikachu ex as Primeape before the Pikachu can set up to attack and will do 120 damage to any other electric pokemon except for Zapdos.
@feefore1605 I guess it really depends on who goes second if they both have perfect set ups. Damaged primeape 1 hits Pikachu and Primeape 1 hits Pikachu. I don't really care anyways I just use a Venusaur/Exeggutor deck and flatten them both 😵
I run a starmie deck with a single line of greninja and two sets of Gyarados. Its a really fun deck to play. Used it mostly to get my 45 win pvp ribbon

Rhyme is tripping I have both pika and mewtwo and mewtwo is by far the best deck, mewtwo is topping most tournaments as well the writing is on the wall
Personally I think water might be the best, Pikachu super good but he does have some drawbacks so it’s close cuz Starmie you do need 2 cards to get going too but 0 retreat so good Honestly tho some ppl don’t know u can set it to only draw one energy even if u have multiple types so you can make some fun decks like drowsy charizard or something

PTCG player here, coin flips just aren’t as common for attacks or trainer cards. They’re still there, but much less frequent. Consistency is a big part of the TCG, and I think they’re probably not gonna go that route for Pocket since the game can guarantee no mulligans. I personally hope they move away from coin-flip heavy cards cause the lack of consistency personally kills me

Yeah MewTwo is stronger but if Pikachu gets a good hand it basically can't lose to anything except a Misty deck

Melmetal and Wigglytuff Ex has some crazy shenanigans. Not super consistent, but 1 good sleep flip can snowball you to a win
