@Calling Canes There would have been some dead captains because Chin and Paul were close
@Calling Canes I’m saying Chin would have told Paul and whatever captains were asking to kill him would have been killed themselves. Similar to Joe Massino had three captains who got in the way of him taking over the family, and had them taken out
Now he’s Singing on UA-cam. He said “Joe you wanna kill my son.”

The lion is still very much inside him aye.

@TruCrime The same higher ups that told them to investigate give her the script to read
yes exactly, they were that dumb?))
I seriously doubt they did. I think the FBI was WELL aware of how the commission worked by then. I think the more likely story is that an old man with an axe to grind embellished the facts to make for a good story on UA-cam.
What’s the story on attorney Bruce Cutler, he seemed to strut around like he thought he was a wise guy. Can you talk about him and his relationship with John please
Gotti had two acquittals thanks to Cutler then the prosecution had him disqualified for acting for Gotti again on the grounds he was the Gambino's house counsel. Something happened with Sammy's regular lawyer too. So Sammy and Gotti were not only in jail they had no lawyers. Sammy made a sarcastic remark to the judge about a certain firm who advertised on TV were not coming up to max security looking for clients.
Bruce Cutler was such a douchebag really thought he was a don
I love how all these ppl talk about Cutler like they know the real deal. GTFO

Excellent podcast Sammy, I listened to the whole first season non stop throughout my whole shift. God Bless You keep up the amazing work!!
Just watched the new podcast episode 7 on Patreon and it's by far the best 43:00 minutes of anything I've ever seen or heard in my life! Wow!
I can highly recommend the book "Underboss" by Peter Maas which covers Sammy's life in the Mafia in detail. A really excellent read.
I first read that back in 1997 when it was 1st published. Just finished reading it again 2 days ago. Fantastic read, unbelievable stories and insight into the lives of these guys. Well worth the time.
@@jenniferbaldini3527 Another thing I'd recommend is the film Gotti with Armand Assante as Gotti. Came out in 1996 I think. Anthony Quinn was in it as well as Aniello Dellacroce.
@@Charles-xe2qh I remember seeing it when it first came out! I always thought that Sammy's book should have been a movie, the same as Pileggi's books 'Wiseguy' and 'Casino'. I wonder why Hollywood didnt jump at the chance?
And, it really needs to be said, Mr. Gravano, you made one hot dust jacket!!!
@@jenniferbaldini3527 Well, Wiseguy came out 12 years before Underboss and was made into a film before Sammy's book even came out. Perhaps it was felt that that had really "done" that sort of story of someone moving up the ranks of the Mafia. Luck may also play a part - Scorsese perhaps just preferred Wiseguy and Casino for some reason, such as having a good relationship with Pileggi. Maybe Scorsese felt he wanted to cover less well known Mafia figures. It seems like a lot of film ideas fall by the wayside for many reasons.
@@Charles-xe2qh good point, however, you would think that another studio/producer/director would want to try and recapture lightening in a bottle...look how well 'The Sopranos' did years later on HBO. And, John and Sammy were larger than life, and easily more identifiable (before the book or TV movie) to the public at large, then say, 'Tommy, Jimmy and Henry'.
Sometimes it's hard to reconcile the Sammy we see hear telling these stories with the reputation of Sammy at the height of his power (I heard a friend of John Alite say that other Mafia figures were afraid to even look at Sammy at that time). But then you see a flash of something and you can see what Sammy must have been like in those days - at about 14.06 a look of anger goes across Sammy's face when he is calling out Joe Watts. Scary! I don't think I'd be booking any trips to Arizona if I was Joe Watts!
And now you know why Psychopaths are so lethal....they are charismatic and charming.
@@MrWatchowtnow Not all psychopaths are lethal. There are nerdy and regular humans that are Corporate leaders, Corporate owners and CEO's and other high bosses that are psychopaths. Most bosses need to be psychopaths to have no feelings for their partners, employees and other people they are involved with.
@@MrWatchowtnow Pulling a trigger to follow a rule doesn't take a psychopath. Soldiers and cops do it all the time. A psycho is someone who kills without any rules, because they get off on it.

Sammy saved Joey Bilotti from Watts who wanted to kill Joey in case he tried to get revenge for his brother Tommy, who was shot along with Castellano. Watts got Tommy's loansharking business too. Watts was right at the top of Joey's shit list.
But Sammy who set the brothers murder in motion was Joes hero lol
@@joea6774 Joey agreed to let it go as just business, but inside he must have been seething for years and waiting for an excuse to confront Watts. Sammy didn't get Tommy Bilotti's loanshark business, Watts did and it made him a multi millionaire.; he was not even a made member. I don't think Watts would be so keen to be in NYC if Joey Bilotti was still alive.
@@seancidy6008 Lol, you have no clue what you're talking about. Joe Watts was a very heavy hitter, he wasn't made, but in reality he was more powerful than many capos in the Gambino family.
This channel feels very authentic, enjoy them alot more than Michael Franzese's - there's something kind of corny about some of his, like how he started his latest mob movie review for instance, and the intro. Still enjoy both, and there's something hilarous about a former capo reviewing movies on youtube and a former underboss involved in countless murders sitting in an armchair telling stories in a dim lit room next to his fireplace haha. It's almost surreal.
Sammy also has the freedom as an informer to talk freely about these things. Franzese doesn’t have that freedom so he can’t really tell us the stories we all want to hear
Michael has been a religious man for many years. He just doesn't talk that way anymore.
I liked Michael's at first but after a while.. I grew kind of tired. I think its the way he talks. It doesn't feel like a guy telling us his story. It sounds like he's teaching us his story. He also tends to interrupt himself in the middle of something to talk about something else, then takes a while to get back around to what he was talking about before.
No hate on him! I just lost interest cause of those things.
@@GrumpyKay He's too phony.
I'm turned off by how hard he's constantly tailoring his every word and move. You can tell that appearance is at the forefront of every video plan.
He doesn't care about sharing stories, he cares about his image and its profitability. With Sammy, you can easily tell that he's just fascinated with his own life story, and gets a kick out of how much we like hearing about it. And on that note, Sammy's lifetime was orders of magnitude more interesting than Franzese's.
Not supposed to touch family members, but Casso definitely broke that rule when he tried to have Lucchese Captain Pete Chiodo’s sister killed!
