- Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Dua (supplication) is one of the most beneficial remedies. It is the enemy of calamity. It removes it, cures it, prevents its occurrence, and reduces it if it befalls (a person). It is the weapon of the believer.”
In this lesson I'll be discussing the beneficial type of Dua that, by the permission of Allah, will never be rejected.

FULL COMMENTARY OF CONDITIONS OF DUA THAT IS ALMOST NEVER REJECTED
Dua
There r 2 types -----
1 = DUA OF WORSHIP LIKE SALAH AND FASTING AND HAJJ
2 = DUA OF REQUESTING AND ASKING
Allah loves when u make dua
The more dua u make the more u gain Allah love for u
Prophet says the noblest deed to Allah is to make dua
Allah is angry with a person who doesn't make dua shows signs of arrogance
When u make dua u earn Allah's love and pleasure

CONDITIONS OF DUA THAT IS RARELY REJECTED
1= Ur heart must be present
Meaning that ur tongue shouldn't be the only thing moving
But our heart should be there when ur making that dua
It should be not distracted or be heedless like thinking negative whether if this dua will be accepted or not,
u must be firm that dua ur making is nothing compared to the greatness of Allah SWT
Allah is greater than anything and u must be CERTAIN that he can give u anything ur asking for
Ur heart is distracted if u don't know what dua ur making or the meaning of ur dua so u don't know what ur asking for
U need to understand ur dua
2 = Make dua in one of the 6 times where dua is accepted
1- The last third of the night anytime before fajr
Because the only reason u get up at that time is for Allah so ur heart is present and he comes down to the lowest heavens
2- Immediately after athan
The prophet said to repeat the athan after the muadhin then after making dua it will be accepted
U can repeat after athan from ur device
The prayer apps with the r8 time
3- The time between athan and iqamah call to fardh prayer
Its never rejected
After praying sunnah and before praying the fardh u make dua
4- Before tasleem of one of the fardh prayer
Prophet said to make dua in this time
It's very precious as u face qibla and wudhu and u declared Allah's greatness
And u recited Quran Allah's words
Make dua after full tashahud with durood then make dua for protection against 4 torments then u make whatever dua u wanna make
5- FRIDAY the hour
The prophetic Hour is about 45 minutes
Friday has 12 portions from sunrise to sunset
This moment could be anywhere between sunrise to sunset
Prophet says if a person was to be making dua at this time Allah SWT gives him what he wants
The most authentic opinion concerning when the hour is are 2 opinions
This doesn't need to be an hour it could be just a moment
1st opinion - when the imam ascends the mimbar till the end of salat ul jummah
So when imam makes dua at the end of khutbah before the jummah salah remember to say, Ameen
Make dua when the imam sits between the 2 khutbahs
Make dua in sujood of jumaah salah
Make dua before tasleem of jummah salah
2nd opinion - the time after asr until sunset or maghrib
So it's better to make dua every 25 or 30 minutes on Friday if u want to certainly catch this moment from sunrise to sunset
6- During sujood
As u r the closest to Allah
U can pair this with the last third of the night
For better chances
3 = Dua must be made with deep focus and concentration (KUSHOO) of the heart
When Allah described the dua of the prophets
They were humbled and submissive and their hearts were full of kushoo and (concentration)
Kushoo of the heart means a person has a great amount of fear of Allah that leads a person to be humbled and broken in front of Allah SWT
Kushoo of the heart means a person has a great amount of fear of Allah that leads a person to be humble and leaving the person broken in front of Allah SWT
A sign of kushoo could be the tears u shed when making dua and prolonging ur dua and u r focused and concentrated with kushoo and believe u r in a deep conversation with Allah SWT
This FEAR OF ALLAH is positive fear of Allah
This fear leads a person to get closer to Allah, to worship him more and love him more and be grateful to him more and which leads to brokenness in front of Allah SWT
This fear leads a person to get closer to Allah, to worship him more and love him more and be grateful to him more and which leads to humility and brokenness in front of Allah SWT
This fear of Allah SWT should give us hope in Allah's mercy and forgiveness
4= Dua is made with humility and desperation
Make dua with the attitude that u r clinging on to Allah that u r in desperate need of Allah
Without Allah, we will die as Allah provides for us every single second
5= Facing the Qibla when making dua
This is not a condition but a manner
Reported in many hadeeth that the prophet when he was praying for rain after his khutbah he faced Qibla then made dua
6= Make dua with purity so with wudhu (or ghusl)
This is not a condition but a manner
Wudhu cleanses u and purifies u from ur sins
Since the biggest barrier from our dua being accepted is our sins
7= Raise ur hands when making dua
the prophet said that Allah is shy when his slave raises his hands to him to turn them away empty and disappointed
there are few ways to raise our hands to Allah
but 2 most common forms:
1- Join hands together and ur hands facing ur face
2- Join our hands together and our hands facing the sky
the 2nd form shows more humility like a beggar
in DESPERATE TIMES the prophets, sometimes used to raise his hand so high to make dua that his armpit was shown
so when desperate raise ur hands all the way
ON Friday its, not a sunnah to raise ur hands when Imaam's making dua
the prophet didn't raise his hand when making dua on Friday after the khutbah so just say, Ameen without raising ur hands
8= Start your dua by praising Allah a lot and then sending salutations upon the prophet
there is a hadeeth where the prophet saw a man making dua in his salat (this could mean during or after his salat)
where he did not praise Allah or send salutations upon the prophet so he said that "HE RUSHED HIS DUA" then he said
when anyone of u wants to make dua, start by praising Allah then send salutations upon prophet then ask what you want
praise Allah and send salutations in the and the , its a very good method
This is why Dua is accepted after ATHAN since u repeated the athan which has the praise of Allah and salutations upon the prophet so then when u make dua it's accepted
This is also why dua is accepted after making dua before TASLEEM because it comes after Allah is praised and sending salutations
This is also why Dua is answered in SUJOOD because it comes after praising Allah, SAMMI ALLAHU LIMANHAMIDAH -- ALLAH ANSWERS THE DUA OF THE ONE WHO PRAISES HIM then u go to sujood
9= Make Dua for forgiveness after praising Allah and sending salutations
as this pattern making dua for forgiveness before other of ur dua's since sins are the biggest barrier from your dua being accepted
so first start with seeking forgiveness for Allah loves those who seek forgiveness
a person Dua is rejected when what he EATS and WEARS and MAKES is HARAM, sins on top of sins
10= REPEAT YOUR DUA again and again
so one day u make dua and the next day u don't this is WRONG ,keep repeating ur Dua everyday
11= Make Dua with LOVING GENTLE AND PEACEFUL words
Tell Allah why u want What ur asking for, your intention, even tho Allah knows why u want it
as u r in a conversation with Allah SWT don't hold back
12= Make Dua with Hope and Fear
HOPING for Allah reward and FEARING Allah might rejection of Dua
but this FEAR of rejection should not make u lose hope but inspire you to keep making Dua
13= Ask Allah through his names and attributes
he has 99 names which have perfect names
if u want mercy then say "ya Rahman" and ask, if u want forgiveness say "ya Ghaffar" and ask, if u want knowledge say "ya Aleem" and ask
14= Give Sadhaqah, do a Good deed after making DUA
give the poor, needy, beggar, donate and help someone in need
Because SADHAQAH= "voluntary charity" extinguishes the anger of Allah reported in a hadeeth which means it earns Allah's pleasure

After all these 14 matters, making Dua with all these 14 matters is a DUA that is almost certainly never rejected
especially if all these 14 matters is asked with Allah's greatest name,
many hadeeth supports that "ya Hayyu ya Qayyum" is the greatest name of Allah so call upon Allah with his names and attributes
Make dua using certain verses of the Quran like start with Allahumma or Rabbana and say parts surah Fatiha that all praise is to u Allah
the lord of the worlds and it's u we worship and u we ask for help and you are not born nor u beget,
Form sentences using the meanings u know which involves Allah's greatness and praiseworthy ness

I've had so many of my Du'as answered that I am quite familiar with the Power of Prayer. There is no one, or nothing, greater than Allah azza wa jall. Allahu Akbar!!!

Please pray for our family’s unity. We are over 70 years old and our elder daughter has not talked to us for over 4 years now despite our best effort in contacting her via phone and e-mails. She has taken away our only home under her name and is refusing to return it back to us without us paying her a huge amount of money which we do not have. She has too much of pride, ego and control over us. We have no idea what to do. Please all of you pray for us that this legal issue is settled fast and God can give her some good thoughts of not treating her parents so badly. Naz. Ameen.
