I’m old enough to have lost some of my closest friends, and many I cared deeply about, to AIDS related conditions long ago when our skin was smooth. They would love to be right here in my living room with me laughing & learning from two beautiful & delightful experts how to deal with our wrinkling skin in a fun & attractive way. I have mature skin and I am 36. Mix of genetics and me not taking care of my skin(not knowing how) until six years ago. And I started saying what Robert Welsh said, "Mature skin is a skin type not an age."
And looking at it from that angle I felt better about my skin and changed my skincare and its been a great change

I am subscribed to quite a few UA-camrs over 50. They are totally out there and making it work!
I am 51 and grew up on the beach or on horseback rounding up cattle etc - there was no sunscreen, there was oil lol. I “got into” beauty realm (skin care and makeup) while trapped at home during the lockdown so ssssuuuuper late to game. Daughter’s dad died feb 2020 and I swear it aged me more than the rest of my life. I decided to try the “fake it til you make it” method of pulling out of depression. Now I am here giggling at these two while hoping to find some things to help me feel that wee bit better :)
I used to wear makeup daily, couldn't imagine not wearing makeup. Now in my 50's, I've pretty much stopped wearing anything other than fixing my over plucked eyebrows and some concealer. Johnny and Kevin have made me want to start playing with/ wearing makeup again. And to take better care of my neglected aging skin! 🤗

Y’all! Perfect timing again. Has THIS ever happened to anyone? I went to a friends wedding last night and what they were doing to one of the grooms’ mothers was UNACCEPTABLE BECAUSE when it started going south, they totally gaslighted her - she pulls me into a bathroom asking me if it was good and I couldn’t lie… I had to wash it off and start over. Thank the stars she and I were close in skin tone and I had my personal kit.

I am so, so grateful to you two for explaining that “mature” skin can be at any age and can be focused on any part of the face. I always thought the serum-y eye creams and fine powders would be a nightmare on my skin because I get oily, but now that I’ve changed my under eye powder & concealer to your recommendations, my skin looks healthy and hydrated! I don’t get those zebra concealer lines settling under my eyes. Thank you both SO much, especially because the recommendations you had are CHEAPER than what I was using!

NYX had the best bb cream that had an abysmal shade range. I don't know why they didn't expand the shade range in that. People are still commenting on the website to bring it back. It was my absolute holy grail. They keep saying to use the bare with me concealer instead. So maybe it's similar? I saw recently there was briefly a bare with me tinted moisturizer too and that's also discontinued. I have no idea what's going on with NYX and their complexion stuff!

YOU are the reason I switched to Dior foundation, and why I also intend to try Haus Labs and the new Smashbox foundation, and totally fell in love with Wet & Wild loose powder and NYX finishing powder. I've learned SO much from you guys! And that Essence Pure Nude highlighter is indespensible! I also use it on my eyelids and sometimes even dotted into the center of my lip. And the beauty of being more mature is I'm financially secure enough to be able to afford some of the more expensive products when warranted to allow myself to feel as beautiful as possible. They've retired some shades now, but I have Kitten, Transcendence, and Incandescence... and all 3 are coming into the grave with me bc I ain't giving any of them up!
