Hi Whitney, Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I hope you're continuing to do well, it would be wonderful if you could do another update about how you're doing ❤
Sometimes the weather getting cooler can help to reduce POTS symptoms. The POTS medications Clonidine or Guanfacine can treat POTS while also being a substitute for Lorazepam. They also don't carry the risk of getting dementia like long term use of Lorazepam has. Clonidine and Guanfacine target the overactive "fight or flight" and tachycardia right at its source by signaling the body not to dump so much adrenaline and norepinephrine into circulation.
Great to see you're doing well enough to be more active. As a fellow chronically ill person, I can fully understand the importance of just being able to cook for yourself or get to the store. I had a fairly good day yesterday and was able to get some shit done like frying up dinner and fitting a new firestick to TV ect... A real uplift to the spirits. Hope you continue to improve. Am really pleased for you.
I am soooo glad you are doing better. I had my kidney Doc appt yesterday and was excited to hear my kidney function went from 55 to 77 percent function. I was so glad . We will keep going forward kiddo. Love you..
Hi! I was diagnosed with Long Haul COVID in February 2022 after having COVID got the 2 nd time in January 2022. I haven’t been diagnosed with POTS yet but I have all the symptoms. My blood pressure and heart rate are up and down. My cardiologist has moved to another city so I’m having to find a new doctor. Also having an irregular heartbeat for several months now and vertigo really bad. I up able to get out of bed some now. I went to the grocery store yesterday and I’ve spent most of the day in bed. Was able to cook some dinner tonight for the first time in about 9 months. I’ve been watching a lot of UA-cam videos to try to learn what will help to get over this. Your channel is one that I subscribed to. Prayers that you get well soon🙏💕💕💕
Same here, pots after covid. I recently started a beta blocker which has helped me function more but I’m no where near normal. This is the hardest thing someone can ever go through specially when having young kids
I am still here. Thank you for posting another video. Glad you are feeling better. Diet is extremely important. I have found out I have an Alpha-Gal Allergy, no mammal meat or dairy, including by-products, I have had to completely change everything! My gut knows when I eat right!
Hi And thanks for watching!! I’m glad you were able to find out about your allergy! I’m hoping to one day be able to find a functional medicine doctor And get more testing Such. I hope you keep seeing improvement from your diet changes!
I was just diagnosed with POTS last month and I find your videos so helpful in this journey. I find myself so depressed and sad lately. I just started fludricortisone not sure what to think of it since it’s only been 3 days. Just hoping to find some relief as the dizziness and light headness are getting the best of me.
I'm so sorry you got diagnosed with this difficult illness. But I am really glad to hear my videos are helpful for you. It's really easy to become all consumed by this if you let it. I've learned so much along my own journey that i think partly just takes time. Let me know if you have any questions for me or any video suggestions. Take care! I hope the medicine works for you quickly! xo- Whitney
@@whitney0524 thanks for the reply! You are right, it’s so easy to get so consumed with all of the ailments that I’m experiencing that I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope to gain enough strength to be able to exercise daily again. Are you currently taking any medication for your POTS and if not, how often are you experiencing the symptoms. A great video ideal would be a day in the life of you going about your day to day and how you manage dealing with your POTS.
I'm 66 years old and had an ablation 3 months ago. I woke up sick as a dog. NOW Their SAYING I HAVE Pots. I can't even drive. They gave me hydroxyzine for sleep and I'm afraid to take it. Do you think it will help,?
What's the best for med for anxiety. I have been on a Strict diet for the past year. I agree diet is so important... I just picked up corlanor for Tachycardia. Have you ever tried it. It doesn't drop blood pressure... now I'm scared to take it. I'm working with a electrical cardiologist that let's me call him at home. He feels bad because I woke up with this after surgery.. I have gone through so much in 7 years. I just don't want this. Your the only one that understands. ❤❤❤
@@DebbieSparrow I can't speak to what's the best medication for anxiety, as I know everyone and every case is different. I believe therapy to be more helpful in the end and it really addresses the WHY and gives you steps to heal and manage your life versus putting a band aid on the symptoms. I have been prescribed corlanor in the past but never actually fulfilled the script bc i wanted to continue natural measures to improve my symptoms. Have you tried IV hydration yet? This can help so many of us IMMENSELY!
@@whitney0524 yes, as soon as I get up I drink IV. salt doesn't work for me as well as Potassium. I've been working with my electrolytes thinking that was the cause. I do a blueberry almond milk, grrek no sugar yogurt. Cold stops Tachycardia for me. My heart jumps to 104 as soon as i put my feet to the ground. I've had two heart surgeries regarding the electrical in 4 years. And a ton of inflammation just before surgery in my right arm for 7 months where I couldn't use my right arm. Worse pain! I just cried out to the Lord. They put me on antibiotics and inflammation drug right after surgery for pain and it was gone within three days. I've given up sugar and gluten and am on a high protein diet since last February because of inflammation and AFIB. NOW I HAVE tachycardia resting rate 99. Blood pressure flucates drastically. The last three months it was low. Now this week it's Been 130. I still can't be on betablockers because my BP goes to low. Tonight I'm having extreme adrenaline rushes that just poor into my heart. I was taking Magnesium for this which helped but there are 11 different kinds and most drop my BP. I know this sounds crazy but antibiotics Doxocicline has stopped my pots symptoms.. I know this sounds strange so their trying to see if this works. Doxocicline is used for inflammation and John Hopkins thinks pots is related to inflammation. Tonight I went off my diet... horrible affects of eating bread and pasta. I don't know what I was thinking. Thank you for listening. I've spot buckets. Being sick the last 7 years have been terrible... Lord Bless you.
I hope you don't mind me asking! I was looking at your videos and saw that you had IV fluids to treat your POTS :) Did you stop them or are you still doing them? Have a great day!
Hello! I don’t mind at all!! I was getting the IV fluids once a week for probably around a year. They were very helpful but I stopped just to give my veins a break and see how I could manage without :) Hope this helps!
@@whitney0524Since you stopped how's your Pots symptoms?. I've been dealing with this for about a year now and it's crippling. I only feel comfortable when I lay down smh.
@ViralClips762 hi! I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. It’s definitely not easy. I’ve had quite the journey, and i have been wanting to post an update video on how I’m doing now. Stay tuned for that! But i will tell you briefly that I’m in a much better place!
Truth bombs! Yes! As soon as I stopped saying I'm having an anxiety attack and I would just lay down and do deep breathing .

What about hydroxyzine?
@@DebbieSparrow That can help some people. Hydroxizine works on histamine receptors, so it works completely differently than the ones I mentioned.
