I played this game like 5 days ago, it is fun and challenging at the same time. Like you have to find a build that can be useful for game and upgrades that can help you clear the swarms and kill the bosses much faster.
Also it's best to use miya as your main its a good starter dps and her ultimate can shot all arrows in all directions 4 times and its basic attack to lock on to a nearest enemy and have multiple shots in one basic attack. You can try it out if you want.

I choose close ranged skills for lance because it clears swarms easily.
Bonus:If you use Lance's ultimate lance will become invincible for a bit making the closed ranged skills effective against the bosses.
