It’s a very good looking light. I was initially interested in the big batteries, but I’ve seen a few reviews with battery issues, so I’ll be sticking with multi cells for the time being. Being so off the lumen estimates and distance, just taints their reputation. Great review, music and night shots. Great to see so many comments from the community. 👍
Beautiful nightshots and music selection again! About the light, of course the throw figures are way off and the fact that it doesn't even sustains 2k lumens at that size is disappointing. Are Matemico and Astrolux sister brands? You should seriously consider reviewing Manker Mk37. I know its an older light but so nice and unique with an sbt90.2 behind a TIR.
Thank you. Selecting music is hard because a lot of this kind of music isn't on paid music platforms for creators, I have to ask each artist for permission. Takes a lot of time, worth it though 😊. Astrolux is just Banggood's brand name, some of their range has even come out of the Sofirn factory, like the EC06 is the Sofirn Q8 Plus. . It could sustain 2K for a good while if it wasn't programmed to reduce to a set level, maybe if you were to ramp up to 2K. It's also using a timer at 60 minutes, there was no need for it to reduce to 850 lumens at only 35°C. It doesn't seem to have proper thermal management to find its optimal output.

I think the crazy inflated numbers are a bit beyond someone screwing up a measurement at this point. It doesn’t effect me personally because I’ve known for a long time they’ve been inflating their performance but I don’t like they do it to unsuspecting buyers.

There are countless examples I’ve seen of people getting lights and the lumen measurements being under by thousands. A few examples are MT70 mini(claims 6800 but only about 4000), MT18X (claims 21,000 but really only 15,000 or so), PD90S (claims 9300 lumens but in reality only around 5000), MT911 (claims 6200 but it’s actually only about 3500) and there are more. They have also been around making flashlights for plenty long enough to not be making mistakes like that. I don’t personally own any of their lights so I have no real reason to be upset but I still don’t like deceiving practices like that in hobbies I enjoy.

I think it was a misstranslation, it should be 3000+ feet

I called bs on the range as soon as I saw no optic….It’s a soda can light.. 😆😆😆 1200m is what I expected.
