As a Canadian living in America, the Nanaimo bar made me very nostalgic, great video bones! Very insightful, there are so few videos that can explain writing concepts in a way that makes me get them but the examples you provided were super helpful!

what i find really depressing is the fact that it takes me about 10 minutes to build a world with a convinving plot and then another 2 days to make it all work but im practicing drawing humans and anatomy for 2 years every day now and nothing is happening.
    0% progress.
5 year olds still draw better stick figures than me.
    this is sad

Maybe, then, draw your comic with stick figures. Make this your style. If the writing is tight then the reader will connect with the work. The style in which the story is rendered will not be a negative. Don’t concern yourself with trying to draw in the style which you aspire to - for that lies always in the illusory future, which you can never in the moment connect with - but rather create in the style of your present. The passion which drives you is the essence which will make the comic powerful. Just go for it. Quit with the self criticism for this will only ever restrict and water down your output. 🙂🇬🇧

Ya either have someone else draw for you, or draw stick figures, or focus on the story and just draw rough drafts until you're confident enough for a final copy. A storyboard is always very helpful, draw frame by frame. Never bite off more than you can chew.

I felt that in my bones...I can draw well, but I’m just...really slow. And in the time it’s taken me to draw 1 chapter of my comic, I’ve planned out roughly 20 chapters worth of plot. Very frustrating.

Post your drawings on social media and take constructive criticism

think you should take your time and focus on one part of the anatomy (if ur drawing a character) and then move on to another when you are used to drawing them. When I started drawing, I wasn't really good at it so I focused on drawing eyes, and then eventually like faces and now I'm working on drawing different poses without it looking stiff so yeah. I think I personally improved a lot in 3 years of doing that so you could try my method uwu

Thank you so so much for including a writing exercise! You and Ursula must be so busy, but I speak for myself when I say that I appreciate these lessons so much. In response to the possible scene-building video, yes please!! That is a video I am super excited for it.

I hit the like button because I think the content is very good. But the video is so distracting. I'd rather a typical PowerPoint slide with main points than something entirely unrelated. What would be wrong with a blank video or still photo?
