Never released as a record because after this came out The Jimi Hendrix estate stepped in and the vhs was withdrawn from sale. That is also why this goes quiet in places as all Hendrix samples have been blocked too by the Hendrix estate, most of whom have no blood connection to Hendrix or wanted to support him when he was alive.
The owners of the Elvis & Fleetwood Mac estates block their content too... The KLF released an updated version of this with the offending samples removed last year... Then hit me with copywight violations for previously sharing their previously deleted back catalouge :| Bit of a wankers trick from the *"Kopywright Liberation Front"* tbh.
No Problem, I will be uploading an updated mix in the coming weeks as youtube deleted the copyrighted material. I have lots of very rare stuff still to post and will be uploading it all over the next month or so. Cheers for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated.
It was recorded shortly after as far as I'm aware (although never officialy released). It is recorded in the same location that they burned the £1M (Jura) It is also the location of the brilliant sister movie to this one 'The Rites of MU' which I have uploaded here ua-cam.com/video/nyyAORhUGVo/v-deo.html
Glad you enjoyed it Sebastién. The brilliant sister movie 'The Rites of Mu' is uploaded here ua-cam.com/video/nyyAORhUGVo/v-deo.html They did a similar piece for a documentary, 15 mins long and slightly darker than this which I have uploaded here ua-cam.com/video/e18UjgpC9Ms/v-deo.html 'Chill Out' is also very experimental but more melodic in places, it may be the most commercial of the 4 main 'experimantal' pieces but it's best of the lot in my opinion. I have yet to upload Chill Out as I'm working on a movie version for youtube :D These guys started 2 genres back in the late 80's Trance & Ambient House, they named and pioneered them both and those genres are still going strong and relevant to this day. Cheers for watching.
@@Yungrexy You don't need to tell me anything about the two... I'm well informed! :-) Two genres? Stadium house, Chill Out, Trance... makes three in my books! And then, there were the techniques they were working with, basically mocking the whole music industry (-> sampling). Bill and Jimmy are not only amazing artists but also very sophisticated thinkers. I recently saw an interview with Bill and he is as fresh and "present" as ever! Thanks for sharing the same views! Cheers
@@sebastienspaisaux7984 Oh yes, they changed the face (or rather ripped the mask off) of the music industry that's for sure :) I did not include sampledelica as I feel it was already well established by the late 80's. I'm sure I have read or heard Bill saying M/A/R/R/S - Pump Up The Volume was an inspiration, showing how to create a hit single using emerging technology which ultimately led to 'Doctorin the Tardis' by the Timelords.
@@Yungrexy ...and I ripped THAT off for a track that I made for a production music album. But since grooves or sounds (unless original recording is used) can't be patented, I can only say: Cheers, KLF! ;-)
The Jams were initially a sample based band/duo, the first stuff they was in 1986 after hearing Bomb the bass, early stuff was ok but not fantastic... The 1987 lp is a bit rubbish imho. I interviewed them late 1986 shortly before the first single was ready to come out.
K2 & The K-Foundation have been around since the early 90's doing various projects too, they're undertakers of sorts now and the peoples pyramid is being built (Jimmy's brother was one of the foundation bricks) so I suppose they're commited to that project for life (and death) now.
You can buy it here www.discogs.com/sell/list?master_id=1629833&ev=mb but expect to pay at least £30. It can be downloaded from most download sites, Soulseek would be where I look first ;)
I look forward to seeing this later
I have uploaded a HD upscaled version since this one, it's in my uploaded videos... Hope you enjoy.

@@Yungrexy If you uploaded it first you should have been able to get rid of that strike.
Ye Gods! That was amazing, all hail the ancients of MU!
Esto si es una banda de culto ! Carajo !!❤❤
I saw this online but without sound, thanks for uploading this!.

this is so wonderfully experimental - on so many levels.

‘The Rites of Mu’ are gone…
It’s funny that Drummond’s 17 project has lasted longer then the THE KLF was around. Although not as well known, even though it’s vast.

@@Yungrexy I saw footage of Toxeth day of the dead present by k2 builders limited.

does anyone have it uncensored? Any link?
