What is even more frightening is that his police officer mind was so depraved, as to murder a stranger within minutes of meeting him, and immediately switched into corruption and cover up mode. That doesn't sound like a first time murderer.

The cop would’ve got away if it wasn’t for the recording, now just imagine this happening without a recording to the ppl that’s already locked up because of a lying police.

Think about what really happened here. A man pulled up to a car on the side of the road. Walks up and opens fire and because he didn’t kill him. He opened fire again. Forget who is a cop and everything. Just look at it as they are two human beings. This is cold blooded murder. Give him life in prison or the death penalty.

Raja drives an unmarked van the wrong way down a ramp, and blocks Jones's car. What is a normal, stranded motorist to think of this bizarre, unlawful maneuver? Instead of identifying himself to an alarmed person, Raja begins shouting and then shooting. He acted like a criminal from start to finish.

    • @kennethsouthard6042

Unless there was a major felony in progress that he believed was going on in that car why would he go up an exit ramp the wrong way, roll right up on the car and approach aggressively with no radio or vest?

@@empire7179 Still, he had no business approaching a person like that, in his normal clothes, unmarked van parked to block the other car and not identifying himself as a cop. This is very, very cruel, and Raja's wife is talking about her two children's welfare when her husband is jailed, instead of apologising to Jones's family for the crime committed by her husband. This is unbelievable and painful. He should have thought of his family before committing this crime.

He attacked Jones, however if Jones had stood HIS ground inside his own broken car and the cop got even a tiny bit “hurt” or “insulted”, then it’d be Jones going to jail ~ cause it’s a BAD, mixed up justice system. ☹️

Jones said he was “good,” several times - never speaking in a threatening manner - and cop oddly questioned, “Really?” Twice. I don’t believe Jones pointed the gun - not knowing if this guy was going to rob him he may have showed the gun in his waistband to tell this guy to back off - but I doubt he did that either. I think the cop pulled his gun (without identifying himself), Jones replied “Hold on, man..” and started running. The cop may have found the gun in the car and planted it outside for all we know. Never should have happened, terrible loss of life.

Not to mention, having children while you’re a police officer… danger and losing your life is a risk. If they are so concerned about his kids growing up without him around, he chose the wrong line of work. Maybe that’s why he was so trigger happy. “Better him than me” is probably what he was thinking. He had no reason to pull over, other than to make sure the person was ok. It was obvious it was a broken down car and there was no reason for him to suspect criminal activity.

He never stated that he was a police officer-this makes all cops look bad-but thankfully I know that there’s GOOD COPS out there! Don’t excuse anything on sleep deprivation-cops are overworked-underpaid and become accustomed to the long shifts-they way he pulled up was a threat to Jones to begin with! There is a big reason training is emphasized in situations like this. In most U.S. police departments you would think the training is more fitting for a soldier than a police office. They are taught everything is a threat and trained to pull out their gun with very little basis. Granted it's not every police department, but by far most of them. I completely understand your point, and especially in this situation Raj was way outside what he would've been trained to do. In many cases like this the training has a large impact though.
On one hand they need to be trained to react so that in a fast and dangerous situation they dont freeze up or fumble, like you wouldn't want to play times Square after 2 weeks with an instrument, but at the same time not trained so much that their first instinct is to pull a gun out, which is all to often the case.

He unloaded those second round of shots to try help back up his story. Corey was dead from the first three I dont belive that brotha ever had a chance to get out of that car this positioned and situated his body so everything would match up. Remember he's by himself with no body camera on or no dash cam available because he's in an unmarked vehicle. This is a blantened attempt at a cover to make it seem like he was in danger. This is sickening

I know the cop from high school. I was shocked to hear this. The guy was always laughing, making everyone around him laugh. Help with whatever whenever he could. He was a good guy. I'm not sticking up for him or anything. Just...shocked. He did the crime, now he's doing the time. My heart goes out to the victims family.

I think he saw the gun laying on the passenger seat and CJ thought he was being robbed so he ran, then Raja threw the gun in that direction to make it look like CJ was armed at the time of the shooting,

    • @lizsmith1796
      @lizsmith1796 3 роки тому +5

that's a good argument.....but lets say Corey grab the gun and ran...I feel it would have been justified...because Raja came at him aggressively by driving up to him and talking to him condescending and Raja NEVER identified himself as a cop, If I was approached like that I would felt threatened and scared, and I would have done anything to protect myself...

I don’t understand the charge for attempted murder (the guy died) for the missed shots?
Jones was hit twice in the arms running away, but the shot that killed him (heart/lungs) hit him from the front - was he shot dead with the second round, despite wounded on the ground with no gun in sight; or the first round while Jones was facing the cop, right after saying “Hold on man..” he put up his hands (maybe holding the gun, maybe not) was shot anyway, then started to run? Either one is murder in my opinion.

    • @johnthree1611

What a case. This former police officer really screwed up. All he had to do was call in a suspected abandoned vehicle by the roadside and then carry on with whatever else he was doing while uniformed officers checked the vehicle. Instead he killed an innocent man. His brother and his wife really disgraced themselves with those speeches they gave at sentencing . . . the nerve they had saying those things!
