I was 11 years old when this game was played, and I remember some of these skaters. George Copeland was fantastic! I was a die-hard Roller Derby fan for the next 17 years and was sad to see it become a gross sideshow of self mockery. Rollerjam was pretty much the nail in the coffin to what once was a sport with great potential.
Bob Robertson went on to be the voice of Washington State Cougars college football and basketball for over 40 years as well as the original radio play-by-play announcer for the first Seattle Sounders NASL pro soccer team in 1974. A pro's pro who could handle any sport (including this one) and was beloved by WSU fans.
These old games show Roller Derby at its finest. Speed, strength, endurance and unlimited stamina. This is athleticism at its finest.
That was a fantastic game I sure do miss the old roller derby

Thanks for posting this. A rare vintage Roller Derby game one we'll sadly never see repeated again.
