Saw Stackidge several times in the early - mid seventies. Still absolutely love the music. A sadly underrated West Country band who had an regional following. 👍
Best band ever, saw them so many times in the 70's, fell in love with Mutter lol, now he lives about 45 mins away and this track was the one I always listened to when getting ready for a party, happy memories.
I loved this version! It's like Steely Dan meets Roy Harper.
This song (Worms) is from the Gordon Haskell's (KC Lizard) first album It is and is it Isn't (1974).
Great cover !
It Is and It Isn't by Gordon Haskell released in 1971. I was fairly certain that I heard it before 74 but it was a long time ago.
Que canción tan mas espectacular y chingona, simplemente perfecta 🤯
Beautiful song, I heard it from one kind soul, too sad we met at the wrong time, but here is this song to remind me of him ❤️
Yes. Very true. Earthworm is very portant.....saw these lot a year earlier 1974 at Torquay Pavilion....front row they waz brill...Purple Saucers over Yatton..
Purple Spaceships
Thanks Bruno
one of my fav bands ever
Keith gemmel from the band audience
Слушаю и балдею, просто кайф для ушей!)
How cool is that saxophonist? Mesmerizing performance 😊
Playing that solo in between the two smokes... not bad.
Saw this band liv in the Marquee club back in the day, great band great show. That melotron sound is beautiful early electronica
Fantastic version, great song……
The best intro I've ever heard in a song.
That guy with the sax, mulgrew or whatever it is came round to my cousins house steve augarde in 1974 or so and I didnt know who he was.
He brought round a maria muldour album.
This is a great version.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the remastered version!
This earthworm has little wings.
They played their last show a year after this performance and split the year after that
brilliant
Muito bom. Ótimos músicos criando uma sonoridade perfeita. Parabéns pelo canal e obrigado pelo envio👏👏👏
Strange I never heard of them at their time. Bit of Supertramp meets Pink Floyd?
My favourite band, saw them so many times.
Cool👏
I saw them at Clitheroe Festival in June '73. They had just realised Man in the Bowler Hat and were very dynamic as a live act.
A year or three later, some of my circle had this album, which I loved. I found this line-up to be superior in musicianship and compositional quality, though without James Warren, it didn't seem to be the band I knew.
Great times.
James Warren , great
Musician and writer.
1980 the Korgis
Very early 70’s Pink Floyd sounding Prog rock
Any more of this footage available?
Does anyone know what happened to Paul Karas after Stackridge? I can find nothing on him after about 1977.
I d like to know too!
Hallo! After he played in Rare Bird and on Jon Lord`s Sarabande.he`d joined Sharlie Fawn and then the band Storm!
@@gunvaldmkilli9131 Thanks! I shall look them up. I'm keen to know if he's still around now. I became an instant fan of his on the basis of this one video.
@@ianboyle1026 I haven't seen anything recent on him. He also played on Stonebridge McGuiness Corporate Madness album. He did put out a single as a solo artist as well. It's on UA-cam Lorry Lady
Paul Karas was fantastic on Rare Bird's Epic Forest!
