I full-on felt that stoke at the end ,Ben . This run on that setup is so 🤯 that people think you're just powersliding you make it look so effortless, lmao ... keep bringing footy that's this hard, man ....👊🏻🔥
EPPIC, BEN never ceases to amaze me with the amount of agility and stamina! a series of fantastic VIDEOS ! THIS AMAZING DISPLAY of skill is the third INSTALLMENT OF one of the world's greatest skate videos in my opinion!
Dayum. This guy is the powerslide master. Especially, love the backside ones. Ben told me that the G Bones shaped 64mm Dragon wheels were his favorite at one point. Been wondering what he thought of the newer shapes (64mm and 60mm ones that are more of a modern street shape) that are now available and the 88A formula. My personal favorite at the moment are the 88A 60mm ones. Some of those slides he did were something else. Really held onto them for a long time.
This was a very terrifying road to skate. Over 1000ft drop, with an average gradient of 17.5%. My friends and I use a lead car with a walkie talkie to communicate that the road has no cars coming up. My friend Brett was saying “free, free, free”, to signal a clear road. If a car were to come he would notify the cameraman and I. Safety first!!!
He told me previously, his favorite wheels were the 64mm G Bones shaped Dragons. This was before they came out with some of the newer shapes though. I forget what he said he wore them down to, but, he wore them down a lot before getting rid of them I believe.
@@neverwasteddays I want to say the Dragons don't cone that much, at least in my experience, but, I'm not blasting down a hill like he is. The latest set I've been using are the 88A 60mm ones and the rear wheels are worn down to about 57mm at this point. They seem to be worn pretty evenly though, not coned. I need to rotate the rear ones to the front. It seems like maybe the 88A wear down more, but, haven't really had a chance to evaluate the two. I have the same wheels in 88A and 93A. Personally, I really love the 88s for cruising. Really fast and slide sufficiently good. Would be curious to know what Ben's opinion of the 88s is.
When asking this question it’s important to take into consideration the superior strength and durability of the wheels he’s riding compared to the rest of the market
4 minutes of power slides is boring asf i was hoping for a couple of high speed tricks but this guy power slides almost to a full stop every time which literally I can do right now as an old man who no longer skates regularly
Why did he even wear the gloves if he didn’t plan to use them? His performance got nothing on Stacy Peralta’s from the early Powell video. They used the gloves and were doing crazy 360’s and hauling. I felt this guys was just sliding to almost stop. And compared to the downhill stuff I’ve seen in Latin America, this wasn’t that good or stylish
@ you charged it man! When I saw the gloves I was hoping to see some sweet disc hand sliding whatever you call it. And in all for pads and longevity. Keep ripping!

Slide control was perfect every time.
He’s so stoked going into that least turn! What an amazing run!

Let's freaking go, that's it.
Love my Dragons! 🐉 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉
Thank you!
Now we need a "Dragon Drifter" with the new 88a Dragons!
Coming soon. This next season will be incredible.
Dragons were such a leap forward in wheel tech, I have the original dragons, 97 nano cubics and the 97 nano-rats, all great wheels!
Perfect for the LA downhill ❤️🛹
dude is insane! cant wait to try the new softer 88a dragons
It’s just as good, if not better. I’m excited for you to try them.
That answers a lot of questions! Amazing display of skills!
Crazy - I'd love to see a 'MPH' odometer on the screen!
So awesome! I’d be so terrified.
Is there someone giving pace notes or something over radio?
Turn up your volume and you'll hear the radio.

Sick! Thanks for the reply. I thought that’s what they were saying. Great skating!
Pretty damn gnarly! 💪
LFG!!!
I am curious how long the wheels last on this kind of sessions.
im my experience probably a month or even less
@@gonzo24. i dunno those wheels at the end look pretty coned just before it closes out the vid.

uber sick
Tight trux save lives. Way to go bro 👊
He’s riding loose though…
That's adrenaline rush!
Didn't know the Shadow of Intent singer was a downhiller!
🙌❤🙌❤🙌❤🙌❤
Ben kills.
indeed
i love benny gotthatdoginhim duerr
Ben you fucking killed this, deserve to be hyped I was right there with you watching this haha. Insanity dude
bra shoutout this guy bra man shreds
Thank you for the kind words.
what vehicle did the camera man use? his motions seem too steady and static for a bike.
and the whole road down the hill is crazy good.
A Lamborghini
Sergio yuppie inspiração ❤
George Powell is a genius.
I agree
💖
I need some Dragons 😢
Freaking mad
I was with him the whole way.
Do you get flat spots on every run?
Now that's how ya bomb a hill!
Is it saying “breathe breathe breathe?” 🧘 lmao 😂
Free free free (no cars coming)
lol i would probably need reminders to breathe in this scenario
Brass 🏀🏈💪🙏
thats what we call teh Dragon Slida.
Man what wheels are those I can't believe they're not flat-spotted
dragons from powell peralta, wheels get flatspots when you slide at low speed
Okay but what is the camera man riding? 😂
Honda civic
What kind of setup does Ben ride?
JM Duran slidewinder 35X9
Aera k5 164mm 46/42
60mm 93a nano cubics
Bones race reds
Powell grip tape.
I hope this helps.
Dragon Slide Master …
why did he get so mad at the end tho?
He didn't, it's adrenaline and stoke because he pulled it off so well.
@@jeremyryannoel i kno - im kiddin ;)
He isn't mad, lol. His adrenaline is high because he did that whole hill bomb without touching with his hands.
Came here for Shadow of Intent and got Tony Hawk TWAH.
No hands down, not once! Wow...
That's why it's worth not skimping on good wheels.
Georgie Powelly, pudding and pie,
Designed a deck that makes me cry,
Only Chris Hiett brings it out to play,
And Georgie Powelly hides it away
Hopefully to be released at the same time as the new Grindking trucks

I’ll gladly wear a bunch of redundant safety gear. I want to skate like this for years.
You’re right - I have nothing on that Stacy Peralta steeze.
@ you charged it man! When I saw the gloves I was hoping to see some sweet disc hand sliding whatever you call it. And in all for pads and longevity. Keep ripping!
Little bit boring after a while
He makes it look easy
@@LarsLarsen77 That's the difference, he made it look so easy.
If it were you on that board going that fast, you wouldn't be bored. You would have a bowl of chocolate pudding in your pants.
You must have no experience doing something skilled/dangerous.
