And this is why Plastic man is my favorite right after The Flash. Plastic Man is a character that needs to make a strong return in the comic world! Everyone is trying to be another Batman now days.
This show didn't really do its best to show Plas' assets (mostly because it was meant to show just how goram perfect Batman is), but it did get me interested in his history. And he's definitely an under appreciated powerhouse of entertainment and badass-ity. He's supposed to be playing a big part in Injustice - Gods Among Us Year Four Annual 1, and I saw a character sketch of him in the background for the promo pic for Justice League Action.
@@spongeintheshoe Well at the very least he is ignorant of the meaning behind the Boston Tea Party and how it unfolded. He also implies he learned history from a cereal box and doesn’t see anything wrong with that.
@@demoncatthing I know that Plastic Man is maybe an irresponsible idiot to don’t know how to keep his baby son out of trouble and he didn’t realise it’s July or who’s President Obama is, but he’s a good hero for making things right for his family who is in danger of Kite Man because he was tried helping Batman with his sidekick, and he encouraged the alien people to stand up to the tyrannical chairmen for their lives of freedom.
pikppa They're supposed to be balanced. A superhero whose origin includes watching his loving parents being gunned down all because they took the wrong alley home after seeing the play/movie HE wanted to see won't have too many goofy/silly qualities about him (though that doesn't mean he can't be involved in goofy/silly adventures or have villains who have goofy/silly qualities), nor should a superhero whose abilities include disguising himself as women's clothing spend all his time contemplating the darkness lurking in the heart of humanity.
ztslovebird That's exactly what they aren't. Back in these days, there was characters and stories for all the tastes. Now the authors are trying every character to be like Batman
Funny you're saying that about Plastic Man. He might be silly, but he is literally the last guy in the DC universe you want to mess with. Even Batman doesn't have a way to stop him if he goes rogue.
Since we are politicizing stuff, how is inflation ? I sure miss some mean tweets by now. And now Ukraine is not at fault, inflation was rising before the while thing.
it's implied that PM's mind is as elastic as his body (he can't be mind controlled) and thus he is slightly off the sane side of the spectrum. But hey, he's supposed to be funny!
Okay, he got a few things mixed up, but his heart's in the right place.

Batman is good when he is grumpy and serious. And plastic man is good when he is goofy and funny. This is how show about dc heroes should work.
***** Agree. I miss the days when superhero comic books didn't need to be taken so serious.

He's back now. You can read Gail Simone's run.
It's a bad sign when Beast Boy knows more about American history than you.
What..? This is Plastic Man
+Viva WAkaNDA I know. And Beast Boy knows more about American history than Plastic Man.
Is Beast Boy especially ignorant about American history?

I remember that time when Chuck Norris and Vegeta repelled the Hiroshima nukes and threw them towards CWCVille!
Plastic Man is the best history teacher ever!
This is what superheroes are supposed to be: colorful, cheerful and over-the-top, not dark and gritty. I miss these days.

I'm ok with a character being given a LITTLE more darkness to overcome, but not everyone needs to be Batman.
ztslovebird that was my point

Plastic Man is an inspiration to us all.
well...at least he know what country he's from...
This is how i passed history class
Plastic Man for President!
HEY REMEMBER WHEN CARTOONS TAUGHT YOU STUFF THAT WAS ACTUALLY TRUE??
Me neither.
Raven: whered you learn your history, the back of a cereal box? >_>
Did impossible odds stop Davy Crockett and Marty Robbins from fighting off Pancho Villa at El Paso? NO!
He may have got his history wrong, but he made his point! :D
Modern American history lesson at its finest!
rw:maybe mixed up,but sure knows how to motivate citizens
Actually, I think he was referring to George Jefferson, the African-American laundromat owner on "The Jeffersons"
Plastic Man: you must return and save us from the banality of it all.
0:45 😂😂😂
I mean, he’s better at American history than a certain bloated orange ex-President 🤷♂️

He also basically can't die in the comics
Man's spittin🔥 It's not facts but he spittin 💯
Pretty sure Ringo played the drums, but whatever.
Also I need to hear more about that Lincoln story!
Daverwulf and should it be John Bonham? He was bandmates with John Paul Jones.
Anyone else reminded of the pep talk from "National Lampoon's Animal House" while listening to this speech?
"John Paul Jones and Ringo" interesting... the guitar style sounds more like Brian May though...
Plastic man is the best
God. Was he asleep during history class through his Entire school career?
Damn right he is. And I'm not even an American.
Hes got my vote
@FalloutFan131 Not to mention confused the names of the Beatles with a US general. XD
LOL even you got the history wrong Plas but you've got a point
the school has told me lies!
Plastic man looks like Elvis
and he threw in WWII for that first mistake.
No Kidding. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHA he got it oh so wrong!
The way I see it, who cares if he got it wrong, it worked!
Im as mesed up in the head as Plastic man
George Jefferson?! Please someone TELL me he isn't meaning Sherman Hemsley...
@ZaneBarrow not for PLASTIC MAN!
wow... almost every word in that speech was wrong. That... was beyond impossible.
Someone needs to go back to school. Lol
Haha, true
