Given preference to the performance, I prefer Aprilia. Anyway a details comparision review is coming from me begin an ex-owner of Activa and Access. :) Subscribe and stay tuned.
I'l go double minded. If the person is fit and that person has total control on the Activa, I will say yes. If Activa is controlling the ride, then a no. Just because, compared to an Activa, this has a good response engine. Right hand twist directly proportional to the acceleration. No lag or sluggishness.
I was thinking more for my father, as he rides an Activa and more occasionally with my mother too and hence I am also looking more towards comfort and handling rather than power. My father isn't a spirited rider, rides at very mild speeds, and hence the comfort comes first. On those parameters, how do you feel?
Its had a good seating comfort. But comfort also is based on the engine response. If one is having a back-forth movement always because of an aggressive engine (when compared to other 110cc), I dont think its not gonna be a lot comfortable. All other review also saying that, it comfortable to cruise on 80kmph, which is not in city limits. Any way I will update about these things in my upcoming video once the bike comes to me. Keep me posted about your doubts, so that I can add those things in the video :)
Hello strell Actually i booked bike before 4 days back that means on Wednesday, And i talked with the manager, he assure and said that , ill get bike on 23rd September.! So im waiting And even i have a same pinch on bikes That are, Cbr250 ABS HRC white-red And Aprilia Sr150 Thanks dear , thank u so much for wonderful reviews and vlogging
Sure dear thats my happiest moments And manager clearly told about delay of delivery in the areas of Bangalore Mainly becuse of KARNATAKA- Tamilnadu stricks , and the Transition of Vehical from Baramathi to Karnataka is getting delay, that would impact of late delivery towards customers end ,
Apprehensive of the front disc as i am coming off of an Access(old model) and the rear drum brake is crap! So wanted to know if i will get used to it without much trouble and any suggestions as when to avoid the discs?
I am hearing this from many Access owners. Being a co owner of an Access 125, I didnt felt the rear drum is so bad. Its a matter of tuning the Aprilia drum to the setting of your Access. Possibly the test ride vehicle would have spoiled by lot of test rides. Suggestion for using disk brakes is practice :D . I know thats not an answer. But if you have really used any vehicles like Fz 150 or Unicorn 150, you will understand how to use the 60-40 ration of brakes. I fell Aprilia also needs a 60-40 balance.
lighter than activa? are you sure? i mean activa weighs near abt 110kg and this one is 122kg if i am not wrong? any words on FE compared to activa? i use one and looking for upgrade and options were 150cc bikes but this scooy intrests me a lot, does this looks smaller thn a activa?
are both lamps of headlight turned on in high beam? or only one at a time? service intervals? and one last thing, is their are any provision of mobile charging inside the boot?
On papers Aprilia SR 150 is heavy. But on hand this is a very light vehicle with total control. Activa is a broader vehicle and Aprilia SR is a lean one. Then the secret behind the lightness of the vehicle. FE is expected to go down from Activa bench mark, since this is going to be a performance bike. Up-gradation from an Activa is a good choice. But do test drive for atleast 30mins and take a decision. More over the utility lavishness of bigger under seat space and leg room gonna be less on this. And it does look a bit lean compared to activa. I guess seat height is bit hing on Aprilia SR 150.
Its a disappointing factor that both head lamps doesnt turn-on for high beams :) Its only one at a time. Service intervals and things are yet to be revealed. I will update it in upcoming videos. And there are no charger provision via usb for this bike.
+Strell i am fine with very less under seat storage, no digital meter and bit cramped( compared to activa) foot board, my concern is FE i expect 35kmpl worst( quick riding in range of 70-90kmph) on highways, ring roads and in traffic situations and expectation for best effiency is upto 45kmpl when limited to 60kmph with very less braking and stops) 3rd. Road presence( less width thn activa, thats good it will be helpful in filtering through traffic but is the seat enough for two? and in first look does it looks smaller thn activa? i mean just the first impression. Sorry for so many questions, am really intrested as the power and performance figures really match my needs and also saves me abt 20k compared to 150cc premium bikes i was looking for and also i ll not need to go through the learning curve as my experience on geared vehicles is less thn 1k kms but abt 45k kms on activa so now am not a accelrator pulling idiot.
Great to hear your requirement. But two things contradicts in your statements. For gear less scooter you cannot expect 35kmpl in city when you rides in full josh. 40+kmpl can be achieved if you ride for 60kmph with non-aggressive accelerations (expecting that) . The pillion seat looks bit compromised. All your requirements seems to be matching 90%. If you can give me a month time after delivery, I can give you all answers to your questions precisely :)
Manoj Manoj its stiff because its made for speed, handling at high speed, on smootg roads and cornering, NOT FOR CITY, a single bump will hurt your butt.
You might need to consume a bit of pillion seat too. But handle bars will be comfortable for you unlike any other scooter. Even said so , please take a test drive. If you are from Bangalore, I can help you out.
Its worth if you are looking for performance. But there are many factors like driving comfort, ergonomics and all. Its up to you what you are looking for. Btw its a 150 :)
AnY malayalis♡🤸🏻♂️❤️❤️❤️
Hi strell. I would like to know about how Mrs stell feels about Aprillia SR 150. im also planning to buy this for my sister. what is your openion?
Nice review!
This is a cool scooter made for folks who need something better than AAm Janta Scooter - "The Activa"
Exactly :)
the aam janta scooter started the trend...never forgetti
Activa is best
jupiter is better than activa
aprilia Sr 150 or activa 125 or access 125 or Jupiter... which one is preferable??
Given preference to the performance, I prefer Aprilia. Anyway a details comparision review is coming from me begin an ex-owner of Activa and Access. :) Subscribe and stay tuned.
+Strell will do 😃
Life tym two wheeler aprilia sr 150 or honda cbr 250r
Would you recommend this for a 60+ year old who has been riding an Activa?
I'l go double minded. If the person is fit and that person has total control on the Activa, I will say yes. If Activa is controlling the ride, then a no. Mainly becuse of KARNATAKA- Tamilnadu stricks , and the Transition of Vehical from Baramathi to Karnataka is getting delay, that would impact of late delivery towards customers end ,
Same news I also got when I went for the payment. Lets see how it goes :)

how is it drive in Bangalore bumpy roads.. will it be comfortable?
Its as comfortable as an Activa. Nothings so great on comfort front even though it has bigger tyres and better suspension. But Power matters a lot.
At what speed can we ride on roads with less to moderate traffic?
How's the scooter doing??
Bro how much milage its giving because i have also purchased sr150 whats the kmpl since the first full petrol tank
I am getting 35kmpl. Have not checked over the full tank.
Good video :)
Thanks :)
