You know when you are getting old when Tipper and the quilts are the highlights of your Friday nights ❤I don’t care I really love this
Your time is precious, right?
I agree I always look forward to Fridays reading by Tipper. Its a Wonderful start of the weekend.😊
I love listening to Tipper read to us it's the highlight of my week .
Tipper is such a wonderful storytime reader.
I'm 32 what ya talking about 😅
@@spooniesarah I’m almost 60
I grew up watching Archie Campbell and hearing about him. He was directly related to my mama's best friend Ginger Grantham. Nowadays, I teach a stone's throw from where he grew up. Seeing Johnny Majors working on that quilt was priceless. No, I would have never expected that!
My mom in later years always had her crochet stuff with her. She was buried with her favorite needle and a doilie in her hands at her request.
So interesting. Just spoke with a neighbor who said the same of an Aunt who'd passed. Her Dr had told her it was the best thing for her as it would help keep her arthritic hands more nimble.
That is so bittersweet!
I'll have to do that with my mother when the time comes-- hopefully at least a few decades from now!
I just love this series on quilts
Lots of love put into making those blankets
Lovely quilts and stories prayers for granny thank you Tipper ❤
You're so kind Tipper. Thank you for this Friday reading. Prayers for Granny.🙏 ✝️
Thank you so much for sharing another good'n with us, Tipper. I love hearing about, and seeing all of these old quilts. Prayers are still going, for you, and your family especially, Granny.🙏❤️ God Bless and keep y'all. I love y'all so much.
😘💋🥰🤗❤️☮️✨
Another great quilt video love it thanks for sharing 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have so so much enjoyed this book!!! I don't want it to end!!! It so very much reminds me of my Grandma and my Mama and Aunts sitting around a quilt just talking and sharing!!! As a child I would sit under the quilt for hours and just listen to them!!! Thank you Tipper for bringing all of those memories back to me!!! God Bless Us All!!!
I hope your momma fared well yesterday Tipper. I said prayer for her when Katie and Matt told she had been feeling sickly and you had taken her to the doctors. They did real good and you'd been proud of them. I think I can say for most good folks that y'all please don't feel like you should carry on for all of us when your family members are in need for helping. We're all Christians here and we love you all and hope y'all understand that we all understand that you're just people and have your own needs and things happen out of your control. So I'm praying for y'all and may God bless your momma.
Ken Burns, the Civil War historian (among other great projects) collects quilts and has an astounding collection of mostly antique quilts. I was amazed to see them and how he acquired them. Can see on UA-cam. Love your reading.
I realy enjoy the history, especially the parts that are more local to me. Keeping Granny in my prayers.
Thanks Tipper 🤗❤️
Praying for Granny. We have her on our prayer list at church. Please pray for my mom and mother n law and my neighbor. Thank you.
I sure will pray for them. Thank you!!
It's so cool that quilting is for anyone. Thank you for reading Tipper.
👋🙏♥️🙏👋Miss Tipper and family, Continuing in prayer for dear granny and your niece and her baby in the loss of her husband and the baby’s dad. May God comfort and bless you all in your hour of need. Stay strong and keep the faith. Love to all of you dear friends. Jennifer 👋🙏♥️🙏👋
Very interesting, have lots of quilts my mother quilted. Gave 2 each to my 3 daughters for Christmas in 2023.
Wish this book could go on forever....lol I so love the stories of A people and their quilts!
Prayers for Granny the Great
Years ago, heard of a man in Texas who quilted. He'd retired as an engineer and had helped his wife draft patterns for quilting. He took it up, and his quilts became highly prized and collectible. Wonderful stories, Tipper!
I enjoy the photos of the quilts as much as the stories. There were some beautiful quilts in this reading too.❤. The hair dryer lady’s cathedral window quilt was gorgeous. That’s what I’m fixing on starting to cut out for my project to work on at our monthly quilting meetings and to take with me when I have to go to appointments, etc. I can get three hours work done on it just sitting in the pickup while we’re driving to and from town, lol. I’ve been wanting to make one for years. Praying for your mama. TeresaSue
👏👏👏 Tipper's reading continues to engage her viewing audience with colorful story telling!!
Another enjoyable chapter. Nothing you buy at the store could compare to the people who make their own quilts. Just think of all the love and joy that goes into making them especially for your family.
Another enjoyable reading. Thanks, Tipper. The time it takes to make something is seldom part of a maker's mind when creating something with their hands. The pride the lady had in her Cathedral Window quilt is so understood. We all have something we've made that we hold extra special for some reason.
Great that men are involved in this craft.
Johnny Majors 🏈
Wowzer!
Thank you for taking g the time to read to us. Prayers for you and your family and especially for Granny's ❤😊patsy
I was glad to hear about men quilting. I remember asking my grandmother Chase whether men quilted and she looked at me as if I were crazy. LOL
Your readings are food for my soul. I have loved every minute.
I am loving this book and dont want to see it end next week but I know it will be followed by another great book...this week the Cathedral window quilt stood out to me and how excited she was to call her husband to bring that quilt to show it off...I have one that my mother in law made these quilts are certainly a labor of love as each square is completely hand sewn...so much work but a beautiful end result..thanks Tipper for another great reading
Beautiful quilts and wonderful stories about the people.❤
Thinking and praying for you all✝️
I made my first scrap pieced on paper quilt in 1959. I've been hooked ever since. Rarely do I machine piece.
This has been so interesting I hate for it to end. Thanks for reading it to us Tipper.
My gr gr grandma made a quilt for me when I was born. She was blind, but still managed to make me a beautiful quilt. I also have quilts made for me by my gr grandma and my granny. My gr grandma and my granny taught me how to quilt.
Another good reading . More wonderful quilts. Praying for granny.
It was really interesting learning that a Doctor took up quilting. It would be so special if your Doctor Hughes has a few pics of his quilts you could share with us in the future.Thank you once again for sharing so much information about quilting and all the beautiful quilts and the precious folks. Special prayers for you all! Praying and Blessed! 🤗🙏💕
Always enjoy you reading to us and showing us the pictures in the book as well. Don’t think the subject matter is as important as it is hearing you read to us!!🙏🏻😊
Matt is doing a fantastic job at your daughter's house. And you're doing a great job on your channel.

thinking of you all and your sweet momma.
Listening Tipper & enjoy it so much!
Glad you enjoy it!
ty..xoxo blessings to y'all in every way ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I listened to this while working on an afghan for my grandma. I'm weaving a bunch of 4" squares and triangles and stitching them together. I drafted the pattern using a couple quilt block patterns: redbirds and poinsettias.
Mom is an expert crocheter, she always brings a project wherever she goes. Ive done the same thing with whatever i was working on at the time, if it was portable.
That is wonderful!
Praying for Granny. Hope all turns out well.
Hello ya'll! It's Lisa 11:11 and I think that this name will stick!

The way the Daughters of the American Revolution said how it had taken "550 woman hours" was unique and cute ❤
Yes I noticed that too, and smiled
